ZA IN PORTO

A very gOod restaurant that you must try while staying in Porto. It's very well situated in the city centre and was not far away from our hotel, a really noce cozy one. We found it through searching and we glad that we entered in despite being the first clients which seems awkward at the first. The gentleman who received us was very kind and welcoming. He communicated with us in english so there was no problem in that. I ordered a chicken soup which was awesome and surprised me. My fiancé started with a red wine which was satisfying. Then he ordered his main meal " Prego Em Prata" and I must admit it was really nice. For the dessert we had " gâteau de maison" which also surprised us. The washrooms were clean and smelled nice too. So its a pity that I cannot give it more than five stars. I hope you also enjOy this restaurant as much as we did.

Amazing hidden gem! Were welcomed by a lovely man which seated us. Already hoped for nice food because of the great reviews, but the food exceeded our expectations. The steak was perfectly prepared and the fish was terrific. The house cake was a perfect finish, and everything was served with a smile. My partner was hesitant about which drink she would like and we were allowed to taste multiple wines to choose which one was to our liking. Will definitely visit this place again when back in Porto!

An amazing meal! Probably the best of my trip to Porto! It’s a small restaurant so make a reservation. Service is great but expect a min 2 hour dinner. People keep coming in and getting turned away as there’s only 7 tables.

Just love Emanuel’s Za in Porto. Fish, sides, meat dishes are great plus his Arroz de Legumes flavored with Salpicao might be my favorite Porto dish!

I was searching for a nice local restaurant with fair prices and good quality, and I could not have been more satisfied!

The meat in the skewer was tender and juicy and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. Everything was nicely seasoned and very tasty.
The prices are surprisingly low when compared to other locations. We paid ~13 euro per main dish.
The service is also top notch with the owner making sure that everything was perfect and that we were satisfied.

Overall, a great experience which I recommend to anyone visiting Porto.
Make sure to try their white wine which they make yourself!

My wife asked me to go, but I was slightly suspicious. But the restaurant I visited twice in two days in Porto.. The owner looks like Korean famous actor Son Seok-gu and the food was really delicious. If I stay one more day, I will visit here tomorrow.. The best restaurant taste of the trip! A hearty meal, a warm smile, and a gentle response. I look forward to your further prosperity. Thank you, boss!

Ran into this restaurant , not far from where we stay. Really a nice restaurant, no fuss. Simple decoration and medium size. Waiter is attentive and helpful, speaks overall perfect English Spanish. 2 of us ate for just abt 60EUR , had everything from appetiser, main course to dessert and two glasses of wine and two cups of coffee. Full but really content. Their codfish with corn crumbs and grilled squid are definitely recommended 👍🏻

Excellent restaurant two blocks from Renaissance Lapa hotel. Must make reservations (or be extremely lucky) as it's very small with only 7 tables. Current rating is 4.9 & it should be higher. Food & service was fantastic. Only two employees are the husband/wife owners. Can't praise them & their business enough. They should be very proud.

Spent 10 days travelling in Portugal but ZA IN PORTO is our favourite.
Run by a couple, amazing food and hospitality. Slightly out of city center but well worth your trip! Their Octopus Rice and local smoked ham, which is made by the owner are must!

The best restaurant ever i experienced in Porto. The owner is very friendly and the wine is also nice. Not very expensive. I has sea bass and it was really tender and tastes great. We could try wine before being served. It’s bummer that i can only give 5 stars

This lovely restaurant was recommended to us by locals. We had an absolutely divine dinner at ZA. We felt so welcomed and cared for and the food was exceptional. My husband had the most juicy and tender steak -- I had the Dorada (bream) which was so, so fresh. Cannot wait to return.

Everything is so good here starting from servise, atmosphere and of course food. We choose two different octopus dishes one with potatoes and another one like bouillabaisse with rice. The both were mervelouse and so tasty. Then we took desserts cheese with coings marmelade and home dessert. Guess what! We were not disappointed neither. And to top it all off, there was the local almond- based wander called "Amarginha".

All the dishes we ordered was really tasty.
And the owner(? )seemed very nice.
We had to wait for 20mins or so for our main dishes.
BUT it was worth it.

This place is just wonderful, the food is delicious, i had the dourada and i totally recommend, divine 🥰
Also the owner is very nice and lets you taste the wine before serving you a full glass.
I totally recommend anyone visiting Porto to come to this place. 10/10

Small, family-owned location with great value. Try the tender meat skewer, even if you focus on seafood.

Delicious food! We had the grill octopus, shrimps and the grilled cod Fish everything was perfect!! The service was excellent very a very kind guy served us. Definitely worth a visit.

If i could i would rate it 10 stars. Go outside to the center to find nice restaurants. We had the best octopus ever ( creamy and soft), home made chips also worth a try. Each dishes were amazing. I have to mention the service, real hospitality.

We ordered four different fish entrees, all delicious. The service was perfect.

Excellent wine, great attention to the customer, good variety for the food. I am now a fan of their"arroz de legumes". The fishes were brought to me for a choice before the grilling :) . Loved this restaurant
