Touriga, Portugal wines

I visited their store to do some port wine tasting. It was really cool to get to try some port wine names that were not as common. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable of the selections they offer. Would definitely stop by this store again if ever I’m back in Porto.

If you are looking to get good Portuguese wines, this is the place to go. Davide, the owner is very knowledgable and will help you select your bottle of choice.

I am no wine expert, but I can tell that the wines are carefully selected from a number of producers, and I left the store with a big respect for the dedication put by Davide to share his passion for Portuguese wines.

The tasting here was our favorite part of our trip to Porto! We walked right in and the owner sat us and arranged two tastings (young ports and old ports). He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and he knew the answers to all of our questions. We were also able to mail bottles back to the US! I shipped 6 bottles for only 95 euro (plus the very reasonable cost of the bottles), and that includes insurance. The owner was also able to recommend some vino verde for shipping! Really fantastic experience, I cannot recommend Touriga enough

After our first tasting here we returned to do another. Really enjoyed the staff, very knowledgable and willing to talk about the differences in each Port we tried. A lot of reasonable options to pick up here to enjoy while you stay in Porto.

Touriga is a must stop gem when you visit Porto. The very old port tasting experience was heightened by Davide’s (the owner) passion and his knowledgeable insights on port wine, from the makers, to the nose, and to the palates. His exceptional accommodation of switching out a port that we already own from the tasting line allowed us to learn about a new kind of tawny, the colheita. We will be sure to stop by again the next time we are in Porto, as I now have many more questions for him on port, including which small houses we should keep our eyes out for, how he decides which to bring to his shop, what are his top ten ports, etc. Thank you Davide for the memorable experience.

Found this place thanks to the Rick Steves travel guide, and it did not disappoint. Excellent selection of port wine from small, local producers without the crazy tourist markup you'll find at some places in town. Also a great place to participate in a port tasting with several options that range in price but are all under 20 euros.

We loved this place ! They have so many local ports to chose from. We did the tasting it was such a blast and informative. I can’t recommend this place enough.

If you want to buy a wine from Portugal - make sure to come here, do not buy from supermarket or big commercial wineries like Cruz, Sandemans etc.

I had a highly satisfying experience at this wine shop. The store offers an impressive selection of high-quality wines. Its central location makes it convenient and easily accessible. As someone with limited knowledge about Portuguese wines, the owner was exceptionally helpful and took the time to explain everything to me. They even allowed me to sample some wines and provided valuable tips for selecting excellent options. Compared to other wine shops I've visited, this one stands out as exceptionally satisfying. I highly recommend this place.

This is a great shop where you can also taste quality (port) wines from Portugal. Davide, the owner, has a lot of passion for the products in his shop. He knows a lot about the heritage, territoir and actually: all there is to know about (port) wines.

I came here for a interesting class about Port wines and a tasting. I learned a lot.

Davide offers a wide selection of (port) wines from Portugal from mainly small producers. I highly recommend going here. I bought two great bottles to bring home. I'm gonna wait for a special occasion to open them.

I did a port tasting here. In Porto you must do a part tasting! It was very informative and they can ship your preferred Port anywhere in the world!

Was in search of a specific Porto for my father in law, and they fortunately had it. Xingi (sp?) also decided to give us an educational tasting of Ports so we knew what we were getting ourselves into.

We left buying 12 different bottles of port to ship back to the US and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you want a real exclusive tasting with small batch ports.

Not only a vintage wine shop but also a place for wine tasting courses with a very nice story behind it. Good for beginners and intermediate alike as the shop owner will help you on all levels.

We loved this place! The owner was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We had a wonderful port tasting and bought the nicest bottle we tried--we wouldn't have felt comfortable spending so much money in the dark, but having tasted it ourselves and hearing the owner's passion for this wine convinced us. Our only regret is that we came back on our last day to do a red wine tasting as well, only to find that the shop is closed Mondays. Whenever we can go to Portugal again, this will be high on our list!

we loved this charming small wine shop with high quality wines. the owner Davide is so friendly and knowledgeable! he offers a few different wine tastings from old port to white and red tastings which are really great value especially considering the quality of the wines. we bought a few bottles port to take with us which were from single estates and so much better than the big labels you see everywhere else. highly recommended!!

His knowledge of wines and way of explaining and teaching is so easy to digest. I was never a big wine person before and booked this as an intro into the world of wines and so glad I did.

I visited Touriga for a wine tasting and it ended up being my favorite experience during my visit to Porto! As a beginner I was surprised at how quickly I was able to learn and identify various region-specific wine attributes. This is thanks to Davide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at explaining key tasting concepts in layman’s terms. This is a great entry point for many of us who might be overwhelmed by the grand and complex art of wine tasting. By the end of the night I couldn’t resist purchasing several bottles of the delicious wines we tasted. Don’t miss out on this wonderfully curated wine shop and tasting experience when you visit Porto!

We popped in here looking for a specific port and though it was not one they stocked, the staff quickly found an alternative which was similar. She let us try before we bought and also offered another to taste. Overall great experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff, cute cellar.

I did the wine tasting experience through air BnB, it was so fantastic that I came back to take the port class as well! Davide is super knowledgeable and a terrific host. His selections made it possible to taste the differences between the three major wine producing regions in Portugal. The shop is a sensory experience, definitely worth spending some time in. Bonus, if you go overboard you can have bottles shipped to you, unless you’re from California (sorry Californians, it’s probably some emissions regulation, drink all you can and load the rest in your suitcases)

What a lovely find! Great little shop. The owner is a lovely chap, always happy to chat to you to help you find the best wine or just to learn about your taste. We had already decided on a pricey wine (around 20 euros) when he came over and suggested we try the cheapest bottle of the same grape variety. Most business owners wouldn't do that as they'd rather make more money. Not true in this case. Really refreshing to see so much passion. We ended up buying both bottles. Will be back next time we're in Porto!
