The best service I have ever had in Portugal

Typical Portuguese food that is absolutely delicious! I had Arroz de Fumeiro, which is a rice with several types of chorizo. I was somehow skeptical about this dish that was recommended by the waitress, as there are several chorizos that I do not like, but decided to order it anyway. I'm so very glad I did, because it was a feast for my taste buds! Staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is a cozy, yet elevated, atmosphere in this place. The restaurant caters to very different people, from the solo client to the huge family. Looking forward to my next visit when around the area.

I had the good fortune of having dinner tonight (Wednesday) at Restaurante Carvalho. Even though I arrived at 8:30pm there were only a handful of customers which surprised me given the good ratings and the fact that the restaurant it’s self is very pleasant. The lack of a “crowd” may have worked to my advantage as the experience could not have been nicer. The service was particularly note worthy....refined and attentive, but not at all pushy. In fact, after about 5 minutes, I found myself settling in nicely to the very comfortable and relaxed environment created by the dining room itself and the professionalism of the staff. The meal was beyond reproach. High quality product offerings very well prepared and a very adequate wine list. All reasonably priced.
No complaints at all and in fact a big thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

Very good food and friendly service. We had the arroz de fumeiro (which was amazing) and the arroz de cabidela (really good too). Great place for lunch/dinner in Chaves.

This place was great! I have some good restrictions and the highly attentive and efficient waitress was able to accommodate. Everyone enjoyed their food and overall experience!

Stopped over for a quick bite. Service was fast and the staff were very good. Food was very well prepared, tasty with good portions. Can't fault any of it.

This is a must to visit in Chaves. It's like going to the Vatican and not seeing the Pope. Fantastic food, excellent wine and a great service. Worth the visit and to repeat.

Very friendly service and the veal steak was awesome. The quantity I got for the price was really good. I recommend this Restaurant to anyone while in Chaves.
