Without a single doubt, this was the highlight of our trip. To say this winery is a must-stop destination would be the understatement of the year. It's a family owned vineyard, with generations of proud history and amazing selection of Porte wines.

The tasting experience was lead by an extraordinary specialist - Lisa. Her knowledge, worldly experience and welcoming nature was beyond compare. We left knowing more and wanting to have a bottle or two on our rack at home.

I should mention the beautiful location of this heaven on earth, but even Mark Twain wouldn't do it justice. Visit and see for yourself.

Great family feel of the food and service at this winery. The 10 year old Tawny was at the top of the list of what we tried that day. Taken there by our tour guide Bruno.

We came on a recent visit and were welcomed very warmly by the family who runs this vineyard. It's an absolutely stunning view and location, and of course, the port wines were delicious. The family's chapel was also beautiful, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have seen it for myself. ABRIGADA!

The owners were lovely and allowed us access to their chapel. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque! Also the inside tour was very cool to see the wine storage and creation. Very friendly staff

I am so glad we decided to do a tasting at this winery. It is a medium size winery and Port producer. When we went it was very off season, but we still called to make a reservation, always a good idea. As everyone says, it a family affair. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. At the conclusion of the tour you can taste wines or ports or both. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. We did purchase a couple of things with some recommendations from our host, and I'm sure our friends will be so happy with the gifts we got at Quinta de Santa Eufemia.

We booked reservations here in advance and we loved it! Highlight of our day for sure! Our hostess Lisa gave a beautiful tour of the winery as well as did a tasting with us. She was very knowledgeable about the ports and described the process to us. In addition we got to taste the cold pressed olive oil they make at this winery. It was exceptional! Could not recommend this place more, can't wait to return again one day! We did the 6 glass tasting and loved them all with very generous servings!

A wonderful vineyard and winery experience! We didn’t have a reservation and they were kind enough to accept us and include us in their final tour of the day. It was small, personal, and directly with one of the family members of the property who is involved in the wine making process. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained their family process of making wine/port dating back almost a century or so. They make both wine and port. Their red and white wine are good but I believe their port wine is where they really shine. The 10 year and 20 year ports were excellent. I didn’t get to taste the 30 year but purchased a bottle. I’ll add/revise my post once I try it. The drive up and down the mountain is beautiful and has many breathtaking views. You need to be very careful if you’re driving though, as the roads are are narrow and winding with many blind turns. Take it slow and pay attention and you’ll be fine. Well worth the drive though and an experience to remember and worth making!

My wife and I visited Quinta Santa Eufémia earlier this week. It was by all measures the best winery experience either of us have ever had. The beauty, the wine and port quality, the personal treatment, it was all great. Lisa(sp?), our hostess, was exceptional.
Highly Recommend!!!

We are from the US and are not used to making reservations to taste wine. We showed up here, unannounced, and they accommodated us and were so nice about it!! The wines were delicious and we ended up buying a bottle of port from them, when we usually do not like port! They also have a beautiful viewpoint of the Douro River and their vineyards. If you are picking vineyards to visit, pick this one!!

A very in depth and enlightening tour from our guide Joao. Lots of interesting history to see and hear about. The setting is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed all the wines and ports we tasted. The staff were also very helpful in locating a lost cell phone. I highly recommend a visit here. One of the best wineries we have visited.

Nice location and great wines. Prices are reasonable.

5 euro for winery tour with guide, different tastings options from 6 to 40-50 euros.

We didn't call ahead and were a little late but they still welcomed us. Waiting a little isn't a problem because the view is spectacular. Lisa is a gem, her sparkling enthusiasm, humor and knowledge made for the perfect guide. You'll learn a lot more about Port wines here than you will in the Douro museum.

Very lovely and family owned winery, the tour was short but still very informative. They offer different tasting options for wines and port wines, which we really enjoyed. Overall a great experience, we took some bottles with us for a very fair price.

We've been traveling around Portugal for about a couple of weeks now and have taken numerous tours and tastings around different areas. We're in the tourism industry (wedding planners and own a boutique hotel). This is by far the best hospitality we've experienced on this trip. Terisa was so personable and knowledgeable and took great care of us. You could feel her passion shine through. We felt SO fortunate to have a private tour of the facility and a personal tasting. And the Vintage ruby ports were the best we've tried in our lives! The Tawnys were great too and we had to take a small battle of the 20-year to enjoy while we stayed in the area. I would HIGHLY recommend this Quinta! Enjoy the experience. :)

We arrived a little early and they got us going with the tasting before a tour of the facilities, avoiding any waiting around. Family members involved in welcoming us, directing grape deliveries, and making sure this small but beautiful and historic Quinta was running as it should. Joao explained it and answered questions with personal attention to detail. Great experience! Lovely location, and very fine offerings at a reasonable price.

We did several wine tastings in the region and this one was our favourite. It's a family owned business. The tour/wine tasting was supposed to be quite quick but Maria (wife of one of the owners) took the time to explain and answer our questions. She was amazing and we ended spending two hours there! Thank you so much.

What a great smaller winery with excellent staff. Lisa was super accommodating and was very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted. John gave us a fabulous tour and history of the winery. My thanks to these two, and I would welcome the opportunity to return!

We did a wine tasting for 2 and a tour today, and really enjoyed ourselves! I emailed the night before to make a reservation and they were very accommodating. Lisa made the tasting fun and informative, and the wines were delicious. The tour was well organized and interesting, and it was nice that we were with just one other group. Would recommend!

Amazing Quinta in the Duoro valley with really good wines and spectacular views. The winemaker is the great granddaughter of the founders, 4th generation, and really quality both on the wines and ports. Lisa, our tasting guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and got to know us. We're looking forward to returning!
