We had such a memorable experience. The local musicians and singers. Fantastic shared food offerings for our group. I really enjoyed when the guests, actual local neighbors, joined in song as well.

Amazing evening (as always) in a true Portuguese treasure. Local singers offering you the best renditions of Fado, great food and people and a memorable evening. Thanks Miguel and team for being AMAZING. ❤

Very atmospheric and authentic place! It is outside the tourist area and is more for local people which makes it more attractive. The concept (as we understood) is that the local people who can sing, sing traditional Portuguese songs. Even if you don’t understand the language, the music will tell for itself. So definitely recommend visiting it to get more local experience.

We ordered tapas plate for three, but it could be easily shared between four people, the dish is huge. Atmosphere is very friendly.

Absolute pure luck we were going down the road for dinner from where we were staying & got invited in for their traditional Portuguese Fado music. So powerful emotional & passionate.
Food was awesome & staff very welcoming, as so too were the locals 💜💜💜

By far this was the best and more authentic food experience having dinner in a real Portuguese place. The owners are really friendly and make us feel like at home. We tasted typical Porto dishes, totally worth it to walk out of touristic places. Thank you for your hospitality :) we’ll be back again for sure!!

Our tour guide recommended this place to us, especially if we wanted to see real Fado, not the polished shows put on in the main historical core of Porto for the tourists. This appealed to us so we went and had a wonderful evening, experiencing this traditional Portuguese music that was performed by locals, in a restaurant full of locals. We enjoyed a fabulous charcuterie plate for two while we watched about 10-12 different people--men and women--perform 2 songs each, while the respectful crowd listened and joined in to these well known songs at various times. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, these locals were friendly and inclusive, making us feel most welcome. We left feeling like we had experienced an authentic, intimate and deeply personal aspect of Portuguese life. There was no charge for the Fado and with wine and food, we paid $52 Euros. Highly recommend!

A truly hidden gem. A small place, with fairly good Portuguese cuisine. But the reason to come is the fado: 2-3 string players play all evening, while the locals run rotations as singers. They all sing from the heart and joined by the audience, who knows the songs. Amazing! So different from the commercial fado shows.

Owner Miguel and wife complement each other fantastically very kind.
They are always ready for any advice abd help. You enjoy the flavors of their dishes and wines he suggests to you. They serve exclusively Portuguese food. If you are a gourmet, and like the modest of the owner this is the right place for yours.

Went there for their Fado night (Saturdays starting at 4:30pm). You may be the only tourist here. This place is where locals come to chat, eat and, on Saturdays, song the Fado. They take turns and the crowd joins in a lot. Cheap snacks, but not for the picky eater (e.g., fried intestines). Come for a truly authentic Fado experience. Knowing Portuguese will help you a lot to blend in. Oh, and you will need a reservation. The place will be packed!
