Joe's Place

One of the most magical and wonderful places I ever stayed in. Claudia and Johannes do everything with so much love and you can see it in every detail. Our favorite part was to wake up every morning to a different colorful breakfast that made us feel really spoiled.

Superfriendly owners, had the most heartly welcome. Breakfast was delicious, not only in presentation but also in taste! Refreshing vegetarian dish. The premise is beautiful and the rooms very cosy. We even got a breakfast to go when we couldn’t make it because of the mount pico hike. I would give more stars but 5 is max ;).

A real gem of a place. Very friendly and helpful owners who make sure you have a perfect stay. The property oozes charm and home made touches which make you feel more like a friend than a guest. A genuinely healthy and tasty breakfast in the panoramic room starts your day on the brightest of notes. Our room (Atlantico) is decorated with happy blues and nautical themes. You can sip a glass of excellent Pico wine on their delightful terrace with views of Faial and the sea. Property even has a car park for its guests. A place I would 100% return to when back in Pico (And we will return!) Thank you Hermance and Paolo!

Such a lovely place with great hospitality. Hernance made us feel right at home, added with extra service and attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the fascinating garden, the view and the quietness. And the amazing breakfast was the best possible start for the day.
We'll definitely recommend this place to friends. Or of course come ourselves if we're around again :)

One of the best places I have ever been! The house is beautifull and the rooms with upcykling decorations very original. Hermance is a very warm, open and helpfull person. But the best thing about this place are breakfasts - amazing little pieces of art. Delicious! :). The terrace is a perfect place for an evening with book and wine. There is one minus.... after spending there even just 1 night you will not feel good enough in any other place :)).

Nice breakfast, everyday a new surprise on your table. Lovely view and clean chambers including everything you need. Also laundry service and picknick lunch boxes.

We stayed at Joe's Place for a few nights and it was hands down the best place we stayed at over our journey. The room was really great with an amazing view of Pico mountain, the nice vegan breakfast taken either on the terrace or the breakfast room is super good and the view is perfect for waking up. Claudia and Johannes are wonderful hosts and will do everything to make your time there an amazing one. Special thanks to Sophie as well who worked there when we stayed. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again if we could !

Very nice place! Lovely little details. Big rooms. Deliscous vegetarian food (dinner&breakfast!!) and a great variety of selfmade food for breakfast. Friendly and helpful owner. To city center it is about 800m to walk. Definately recommend this place.

Wonderful place to stay on Pico. The breakfast is very delicious, the staff very very friendly and the view from the terrace fabulous!

I just loved everything about this place : the view, the great room, the homemade breakfast and obviously the very kind owners, Hermance and Paulo. They obviously do their absolute best for you to have the most relaxing and memorable experience, always with a warm smile on their faces. I'd go back every week-end if I could!

Joe’s Place kann man wirklich nur jedem empfehlen! Claudia, Johannes und Sophie machen alles zum Genuss! Die individuell stilvoll einfach eingerichteten Zimmer sind zum Verlieben! Das Frühstück im Wintergarten mit toller Aussicht ist super lecker und variiert jeden Tag! Vor allem wird es von regionalen bzw selbstgemachte Produkten liebevoll zubereitet ! Einfach ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Energie tanken ! Danke ❣

Zu Gast bei Freunden in anregend, kreativer Umgebung. Sensationelles Frühstück mit Liebe gemacht und mit Leidenschaft serviert. Gigantische Aussicht. Suchtpotential :)

Das Zimmer liebevoll gestaltet. Gutes Frühstück was Abwechslungvoll war. Sophie kümmert sich sehr gut um die Gäste. Ein Kühlschrank mit einem kühlen Bier stand immer Bereit. Auch ein Handtuch zum Ausleihen für den Strand war kein Problem. Auch mit Rat und Tat war Sophie immer zur Stelle. Unbedingt Empfehlenswert wenn man nicht Anonym in ein Hotel absteigen möchtest.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits superbes chez Joe's Place cet été. Le cadre, la propreté, la décoration, les espaces communs, les services : tout était exceptionnel !! Les petits déjeuners sont géniaux, copieux, variés et délicieux !! Un super souvenir, merci

The place to be. Un paraíso. Es un alojamiento genial, todo está super bien cuidado. El jardín es muy grande y las vistas desde las habitaciónes son expectáculares. El desayuno también está muy bien. Los dueños y el personal muy atento, te ayudan con todo lo que necesites. A pocos minutos a pie de Madalena donde hay multiples restaurantes para cenar. No lo dudes más,.
