Absolutely worth a visit!
Everything is made with so much love and passion and Natacha and Hugo are the best hosts you can imagine. If you come here you will have a really good time for sure :)

In short: I highly, highly recommend staying with Natasha and Hugo in the Retiro Atlântico! If you visit Sao Jorge you will not find a more comfortable, special and welcoming place to stay.

We loved our tent and the most amazing sea view! Everything is clean, modern, stylish, cosy and with some hipster touches, that we found super refreshing in the middle of the Azores. Hugo and Natasha know everything about the islands and recommended great hiking trips and places to visit. They are great hosts and love what they do! Natasha bakes her own bread every night and we felt so, so spoiled with the most amazing breakfast! The fact that I eat vegan was not an issue at all for them, which is rare to find on the Azores ;) Hugo has an impressive organic garden and provided us with delicious fruits and vegetables that we used for our dinner. There is a fully equipped open kitchen for guests and a supermarket is also close by. A nice place to swim and to snorchel is also just in walking distance. The whole place is truly special and made with so much love and care! We miss it already and will defenetly come back soon.

Such a paradise! We loved everything about it. The yurt is so nice. I slept very well, the shower is good as well.
The owner are really friendly and gave us a lot of tips.
The breakfast was soo delicious! Selfmade bread, juice and Joghurt. Honey from the neighbour and local cheese, eggs and jam. Every morning we had that good breakfast with an ocean view. Loved it!

Trust me, you want to go here. First of all the hosts are the kindest and most caring people. You feel the love and care that has been put into everything from the yurts to the breakfast and the shared open kitchen that has everything you need.

The yurts are very comfortable with a nice big bed, a little table with two stools and a comfortable reading chair. From the window you can see the majestuous mt. Pico and the sea and there is two comfy chairs to sit outside between the banana trees and all the other plants they grow. There is just 4 tents and each has their own little access road so you have good privacy. The private bathroom has good and continuous warm water and is very clean as well. It is just 2 steps away from your yurt so no hassle at all.

The breakfast was amazing with the best fruit salad and juice from homegrown fruits, fresh herb tea, proper coffee and everything else you could wish for. For us it was the best breakfast we have had in the Açores.

The hosts also have some good tips for places to visit and restaurants to go to. Our personal favourites of the island were the natural swimming pools of 'Simão Dias' and the waterfall as part of the hike between Serra do topo and Fajã dos Cubres.

We will definitely be back some day, a bit later in the season to hopefully also get to enjoy some home grown avocados and maracujas

We looooooved our stay at the Retiro Atlantico. All in all, it was just amazing and perfect! Natacha and Hugo are so lovely and made our stay with them really unique. We really enjoyed the night in the luxery tent and also got a little botanical tour with Hugo and an amazing yoga class with Natacha. The breakfast was also just perfect! Thanks a lot and we would any time come back!

The yurth was very comfortable, with your own bathroom, washingline and terrace with a spectacular view on pico.
When you go there, you can expect some real time off. At night you can see the milkyway!
Very eco minded and good breakfast.
There is a communal outdoor kitchen, with a charcoal grill, stove and even a wood oven to bake pizza or bread.

We had a beautiful stay at Retiro Atlantico with very friendly and helpful hosts Natacha and Hugo. Were very thankful to this nice stay in the Yurt. Its different to be there and you will have a wonderful view to the atlantic, to Montanha do Pico and breathtaking nature. I can recommend the breakfast here ☺

What an amazing place to spend your nights while traveling in Sao Jorge. We were only sad we booked too late and couldn't get more than two nights to enjoy this beautiful place. Hugo and Natacha are some super hosts, gave us a lot of nice tips about the island, prepared a very tasty breakfast every day with local products and it was great to talk to them about life in the archipelago, all the fruit trees that they are growing there and their plans for Retiro Atlantico. The Yurts are very comfortable, you get your private bathroom, it is peaceful and with beautiful surroundings. The fact that it can't have many guests at once definitely helps maintaining the pleasant atmosphere. After some active days we also ended up doing a Yoga class with Natacha that really added to the experience. Make sure to stop by and enjoy this paradise!

This is probably the best place where you can stay in the island of Sao Jorge. It's a wonderful, charming and quiet place with very confortable yurts in the midle of the nature and with great sea view.
The owners Natacha and Hugo are super nice and will make you feel much welcomed and like at home.
Breakfast is great with fruit from their own garden as you have never tasted before.

We loved our stay with Hugo and Natacha! The yurt was wonderful, the breakfast excellent and the view simply amazing. Could not have wished for anything more! Highly recommended!

Too bad we only stayed for one night.. This place is perfect to wind down and appreciate ocean view and Pico. This isn't only an accommodation, but also an experience. Breath and relax!

Amazing beautiful Place.

Super schönes und außergewöhnliches Hotel. Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen und würden gerne wieder kommen. Die Gastgeberin hat uns herzlichst empfangen und ausführlich erklärt, was man auf der Insel alles machen sollte. Jeden Morgen gab es ein leckeres Frühstück. Um das Hotel zu erreichen wäre ein Mietwagen gut.

Besonders gut hat mit gefallen, dass es eine kleine Outdoor Küche gab, um sich Sandwich und Abendbrot zu machen.

Natacha et Hugo nous ont chaleureusement accueillis dans leur coin de paradis (quelle vue !!). Dès notre arrivée, ils nous ont expliqué les choses qu'ils recommandent sur São Jorge, les restaurants etc, c'était très appréciable ! De plus, le petit déjeuner est absolument divin, végétarien et vegan friendly (un ENORME merci).
Le lieu dispose d'une cuisine commune extérieure, très bien équipée.
Notre yourte était vraiment confortable avec une bonne connexion Wi-Fi si besoin.

Une très belle expérience !!

Tudo óptimo. A Localização do Retiro é muito boa e de fácil acesso. Paisagem fantástica sobre a ilha do Pico e a Montanha. O Yurt é muito agradável, confortável e limpo. Casa de banho com muito boas condições. O serviço é excelente. Os hosts foram sempre muito prestáveis e disponíveis, dando muitas indicações sobre o que conhecer na ilha de S.Jorge. O Pequeno Almoço é incrível com produtos locais de excelência. Recomendo a 200%.

Se há quem tem a arte de bem receber, estes são os anfitriões Hugo e Natacha.
Hugo, dotado de uma simplicidade, alegria, sabedoria e simpatia nata, o responsável pela quinta biológica leva-nos numa visita guiada, mostrando plantas e árvores, algumas raras na nossa Ilha, mais que uma visita guiada, é uma viagem pela história da quinta.
Natacha é um ser humano com uma boa energia que nos contagia, health coach de formação tem sempre a palavra certa e um sorriso sincero para nos oferecer.
Sendo um espaço recente, tem uma decoração cuidada, todos os espaços foram pensados para maior comodidade dos visitantes.
O Retiro Atlântico é perfeito para quem aprecia a tranquilidade e a natureza, quando entramos na quinta temos a sensação de estar num mundo á parte pela beleza, pela calma e pela vista deslumbrante para o mar, o céu e a majestosa montanha do Pico.

A começar pela vista é excelente, vista deslumbrante sobre a ilha do Pico e do próprio Pico! É um alojamento fora do "habitual" é o primeiro "glamping" da ilha, o espaço é composto também por uma quinta certificada biologicamente. Os pequenos almoços são divinais com produtos da quinta. Uma última palavra sobre o casal proprietário, são de uma elevada dedicação e simpatia para que nada falte aos hóspedes.
Recomendo totalmente!
