Very good coffee and small treats. The host is very friendly. We even got a tour through the plantation with lots of details on how they make the coffee.
Bottom line, they put a lot of love into their product.

A lovely family run coffee shop that grows it’s own beans. The coffee is delicious and the owners are very nice. They showed us through the small plantation behind the shop and explained their process and how they came to be. They also showed us a bunch of looms they use to weave carpets upstairs. We sat on the patio and had espressos (followed by beers). Well worth the drive, the road is winding and beautiful down to this little town (and fully paved / easy to drive).

Lovely place with their own coffee. It's the only place in Europe where coffee is cultivated. They sell it for quite a high price of 16 Euro for 100g. But if you consider that every step is done by hand and it's organic than it's fair. You can also try the coffee right there. They give tours if you ask and it's very interesting.

Getting down to the Café is an experience on its own but certainly worth it! They managed to cultivate coffee in the Northern hemisphere and grow the only coffee in Europe.
Since it’s a family-run small farm, they harvest only around 1t of coffee beans yearly. This restricts them from shipping and selling them outside the Café. So you can only taste this unique coffee right at the place and then take home a little 50g bag.
Little tip it’s best to visit between April to June when the majority of the harvesting, drying and roasting is happening!

Mr Nunes and his wife run this small business. The coffee is all handmade from the plants to the cup.

100% Azorean Coffee! Unique in all of the 9 islands.
Had a lovely experience, arrived around 7h45 and talked with the owner over a cup of coffee in the morning. Also had coffee tarts which were really good.

The only European coffee. The taste is strong and you can find homemade products too.
Ask for a visit of the coffee plants, it is very gorgeous and unique!

The best coffee I've ever tasted. The grains are harvested and prepared right there by the owners. They are very friendly and even gave us a tour of their garden, and their many coffee plants.

Great coffee! One of the best I have ever tasted. Planted on the back yard, Mr Nunes has been tending his trees for over 20 years.
You can visit the cofee trees, we were lucky to see it dry in the sun. When we visited the trees we had the chance to taste a ripe sweet cofee bean.... delicious with a nice healthy larva inside to show how good the been was. Highly recommended! Really good cofee and the best of people!

You can have a good coffee there and you can see the plantation. This is somehow unique because it is one of the three coffee plantations of Sao Jorge, the only European place where coffee is cultivated. To get there coming from the West of Sao Jorge, you need to drive to Ribeira Seca and turn right when you see the signal I posted below(Faja dos Vimes). Then you drive all the way down until you get to the Faja.

Real coffee made by real people. The sweet potato dessert complements it perfectly.

The owner is also the producer of the coffee. If you ask him, he will show you the plants and the process to make the coffee! The taste of the coffee is also peculiar!

A very unique place with welcoming family owners! The family runs the coffee production and the cafe. That was sooo inspiring to hear the story behind the cup of espresso. Thanks you!!

As an Italian I can say that I really enjoyed my coffee here. They offer Arabica which is strong in taste. Very very good. When asked you can also tour for free their coffe plantations and artisanal laboratory with the owner providing very interesting informations and facts about the family run coffe shop and its history. Plus this faja was one of my favorite so to chill on their terrace was very nice.

Really cool place to visit. They make their own coffee and tapestries.
