Pestana Alvor South Beach

The hotel is amazing, great location, beautifully kept. The cleaning staff are fantastic, the room was immaculate. The reception staff were very helpful. The only thing letting it down were the bar/cafe staff. There were lots of them but you always had to pursue them to get a drink. It took a long time to get it and then when paying they would have forgotten what you had! There were enough waiting staff to be checking if you wanted anything not the other way round. The bar was very quiet in the evenings when it could have been far more lively if the atmosphere was right. Despite this would definitely go back.

Fantastic hotel really enjoyed my stay here ,staff were wonderful couldn't have asked for better.
My only issue was there wasn't a walk in shower and my 90 year old parents found it difficult to climb into the bath to shower,also no "grab rails" to assist getting in and out.

When we arrived at this hotel ,we were disappointed as our room was on the ground floor ,which gave us no view. When I went to the reception, I was told that there was no possibility of being able to move !!! I expressed my disappointment, and that of my husband. Thankfully a girl called Christina, asked if we could wait until the nxt day ,and she would move us up one floor . She took us to the room the nxt day ,to see if we would be happy to move ,which we were delighted with. I can't emphasise enough ,the difference Christina made to our holiday. We met some lovely bar staff,but didn't get their names. The rooms were beautiful, the hotel is spotless. The breakfasts offered a wide range of local produce ,all really lovely . The pool area was lovely, but we tended to sunbathe on the beach . We usually stay in Alvor Pria,which is a beautiful hotel,but we will definitely be booking again for nxt year ,at the South Beach. Great for families! There are 3 pools. They were clean and not over crowded. The location is across from the beautiful Tres Irmaos Beach. You can walk the boardwalk to the downtown marina where there are a variety of restaurants and shops to explore. Breakfast is included. The service was good. Some pool chairs could have been cleaner and the on site restaurant/ bar is a bit pricey. Overall, I would recommend and return.

The rooms are very nice, breakfast is great and the beach is a 2 minute walk.

Many restaurant options in alvor which is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive or 3 euro uber.

The hotel is family friendly and very nice and quiet. We will for sure be back.

Wonderful hotel, gorgeous breakfast with all you could wish, very modern rooms, bed facing both the swimming pools and the sea farther, and above all, very professional personnel, very agreeable and available at any time. To summarize, excellent place to spend 4 nights in summer!

We had brilliant vacations during last summer. We spent 6 days at the hotel and everything was perfect. Staff very professional and friendly. Always ready to achieve my requirements. The food was amazing. My regards to the Chef and to entire team. Environment and location of the hotel is perfect. I will definitely come again in 2023

We had a fantastic 10 day at the best hotel in the area. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the food is very good and the staff are friendly and very helpful at all times. First class hotel and resort and beach.

A great hotel it really is! It's location is slightly out of the way but it's only a 10 minute walk to the tourist center plus its mere yards away from the beach.

The three outside pools and surrounding area of the hotel are very nice too. I have seen many comments about the temperature of these pools and my comment to them are, 'go in them around midday if it's too cold'! All outside pools have a little chill at first but as we all know once we are fully submerged and have swam around for a minute or two, it's like any other pool.

We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a VIP room due to an unforeseen golfing event nearby (not bragging) but I would just like to point out that storage in the VIP rooms is at a shortage. All we had were four shelves and 10 hangers between the two of us.

Breakfast is wonderful, staff are great, there is plenty of room to lounge around near the pools /plenty of Bali beds and sun loungers. If you manage to get a room on the bottom floor you also have two private sun loungers for yourself too.

Best hotel in Alvor! Literally right on the beach. My sister and I stayed here for 6 days and we loved it. Our room faced the ocean and pool. The rooms were spotless! Room service cleaned our rooms every day. The food and bar were exceptional. There were various options for vegetarians. I really loved the warm welcome from the reception and the private car park!

One of the best hotels in Alvor! The staff is very friendly, helpful. The interior is very cosy, cheerful. The location is also a huge plus , it’s literally on the beach . The breakfast is also pretty good. The pools are another bonus🌊Will come again, so worth it, thank you for having us ❤❤❤

The experience was great. People are amazing, they do their best to make our vacation perfect. You can choose between pools or the beach (right in front). Even if it was August and the hotel was pretty busy, there was space for everyone and It was a great week.

Straight out unto the beach, staff very helpful. Rooms quiet and so is the air con! Some hotels you can't sleep with the noise of the air conditioning - not so in South Beach. 3rd time to stay here and definitely recommend

First of all, 5 stars for friendly staff! They did perfect job to make our stay excellent. Loved the location, it's really close to the town + the beach is few steps away from hotel. Food was really good (especially breakfast). Our room was furnished in modern style + had a great sea view. In overall we were really satisfied!

We have just came back from a fantastic relaxing holiday. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and clean. The breakfast had a vast variety and cooked eggs to order. The location is right on the beach and the room we had a view of the pool and sea what more could you ask for. Nice walk about 10 minutes to some really nice restaurants. We will be returning.

This was our third visit to the hotel and we are always very impressed. The rooms are beautiful, quiet and modern. The staff are most pleasant and attentive. A beautiful pool area and only a few steps to the beach. Lovely walks and close to the town. Perfect for Couples.
