Very good campsite along the Inca Trail, with showers...although cold. The campsite is very clean, and well taken care of. We trekked with SAM travel, they are just amazing, and took very good care of us.

My favorite Inca site. Even better than Machu picchu in my opinion. Amazing views that can't be beat. If you're lucky, you'll get to see multiple rainbows. Really amazing.

As part of Lama Path 4-day Inca Path tour we stopped here. It's a fairly developed camp site with many bathrooms (squat type) but the true magic is Winay Wayna ruins themselves, about 1 minute walk from the camp are GORGEOUS ruins that blew us away. Very easy recommendation to camp here.

Amazing! In some ways I liked Winay Wayna even better than Machu Picchu. We had the place mostly to ourselves with free reign to explore however we wanted. A definite contrast to the crowds and traffic control at Machu Picchu. It was spectacular.

The winay wayna camp was one of the best along the Inca trail. Awesome site to visit and the bathrooms we're clean and well cared for. They even had showers. Note they only had cold water, but after days on the trail who cares! Wonder place to stay. We did our trek with alpaca and they did an amazing job.

Judging by other comments we got lucky. There were just us and the llamas and it was part of a 1 day Inca Trail hike coming in from km 104.

Breathtakingly gorgeous and splendidly quiet

The small Machu Picchu
On the last day of the Inca Trail, before reaching the awesome Machu Picchu, you'll camp near the Wiñaywayna. It's a small version of the Machu Picchu. The fortress is breathtaking as well as the views are.

Beautiful archaeological site on the way to Macchu Picchu as part of the trail that starts on Km. 104
The view of the mountaibs and snow peaks from here it's stunning if it isn't cloudy.

I though that this site was almost better than Machu Picchu! It was really quite and very special to watch the sunset there. Amazing!
