Playa Venao

It’s one of my favorite place in the area. There’s a special atmosphere there. It’s very relaxed. You have a variety of small restaurants and the beach is huge & wide. It’s also a little paradise for surfers as it is quite wavy. However, not the best for swimmers, except if you’re lucky enough to stay in a place with a nice pool. Then, it’s paradise! The best place to relax and charge yourself with positive energy!

Enjoy beach walks at low tide and food and drinks at one of the restaurants during high tide.

It's grown, mostly for the better, lots of dining options. El sitio for sunset drink and chill dj is a must.

A very wonderful beach community with a good array of restaurants. Very chill. Make sure to check out the turtles and La Hummuseria!

Nice surfing spot, when the conditions are right, you can have actually pretty good waves.
There’re also lots of surfboard rentals around that beach.
Water is quite warm but not that clear like you used to know from other beaches.
The sand is dark and yesterday I saw a sea turtle unfortunately already gone…

Playa venao was wonderful! Don't miss the healing centre coffee and juice bar on the second floor! Loads of restaurants in the area.

Best beach in Panama, don't miss when you're in Panama

Super nice beach! Great surfing. The local surfers are typical local surfers. They’re not gonna let you paddle out and just get a wave. You will have to hold your own. The beach is nice and the people are friendly. Worth the trip.

Awesome! Still mostly undeveloped, but has some good restaurants and places to stay. So chill! Not too crowded. Road from pedasi will soon be completely paved.

Very wide and clean sandy beach with big difference between high and low tide and big rolling waves. It’s packed with wave surfers and therefor less suitable for swimming. There are a couple of restaurants, bars and (mostly pricy) seafront hotels. The road from Pedasi towards Playa Venao (beautiful scenery while driving) is made of perfect new tarmac. The local gas station is heavily overpriced so make sure to fill your tank in e.g. Pedasi.

It is a nice growing surf village...will a really cool vibe about it.

Nice wave, way better than the other waves near by. Everyone is super nice, sharing waves, the locals love tourists here! Don't waste you time or money going to Cambutal or surrounding beaches looking for mediocre surf. Playa Venao has it all, just stay here and have a great time.

Magical black sand beaches by the ocean. Perfect place to chill for a couple of days.
Also known for it's good waves for surfing all levels.

wow wow one of the best hostels, right on the beach, super helpful friendly staff. i dont normally stay at Selinas because they are big and impersonal but this one is awesome. never felt so welcome. amazing facilities!

Nice clean beach. Not many people there. There are several restaurants right at the beach. There are also surf camps. Mostly young tourists, but not obtrusive.
