I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place!! From the time you check in to the time you leave, everything is amazing! Brent and his staff run such a great surf camp, great instructions, fun environment and you leave feeling like you can surf, we are not surfers but by the end could catch our own waves!
The restaurant has the absolute best food! Highly recommend the salads and the garlic shrimp anything!!
The rooms are nice too! Very clean and comfortable

Our family had a great stay. Did a surf lesson with Alexis. He was great with the kids. We also rented boards and enjoyed the pool. Venao is heaven on earth.

I was in the latter group, took a couple of lessons, even a surfer camp previously, but stuck at beginner’s level.

Really wanted to improve my skills, and my instructor, Brent, was an amazing teacher!
He explained the basics really well, demonstrated a lot of things, and with his help I was able to ride 10+ good waves in a row, which is a personal record for me!
I was also able to be on the board for the longest time in my life!

This place, especially instructor Brent, is highly recommended!

Beach Break surf camp is a fantastic place for surfing and being with friends and family. It is also a great place to meet people from all over the world who want to surf and swing in the hammocks and watch the waves. The surf instructors are very good and will teach basic skills and safety, or give you tips to move to a new level if you already know how to surf. The food at the restaurant is extremely good. After a week of eating at the restaurant, we have not repeated any meals. Vegans and carnivores can find great food. All of the meals were delicious. The restaurant staff is very hardworking and they provide great service. Likewise, the hotel management is terrific.

If you have a chance to rent the Casa Del Mar, you should do it. The house is very pretty and has an amazing view.

Everything at Beach Break is fantastic and they can accommodate all ages. I highly recommend Beach Break surf camp.

We have recently traveled to Panama with our 4 kids, and our first week was spent at BB Surf Camp. Everything was on point, on all levels. Rooms and common areas were extra clean. The restaurant has many great options and sweet ambiance ( plus a pool table). Location is perfect to surf the beach break, and perfect for families wanting to surf together. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and very quick to help us. The surf shop has great options for rentals, and all boards are in great conditions. The coaching staff is amazing; Brent, Alexis, Javier, are very professional, friendly, and wonderful with kids ( and adults too! ). The jiu-jitsu academy and the senseï are also a great plus to the place; very welcoming and friendly!
I highly recommend Beach Break for anyone looking to learn how to surf, improve their skills, or just surf with the family!

Spent a week here and it was amazing!! The location is beautiful and all the people there are so wonderful. We are new to surfing and did lessons every day, all our instructors were so great! The food at the restaurant was delicious and there was a nice new grocery store close by. The rooms are very basic but clean and A/C kept it cool at night. Definitely hoping to go back there again one day.

Awesome spot, comes highly recommended. This is my 4th visit since 2020.
Great staff, peaceful, laid-back vibe, Brent in the surf shop/school has all the local knowledge and surf tips.
Chatting with John makes bookings easy and it's great fun surfing out in the water with him.
Ramon the surf photographer takes incredible photos and videos and is always available to chat and answer questions.
Can't say enough good words about all the of staff here, I'll be visiting Venao & Beach break for many years to come!
Anna at the front desk is awesome, and has always helped sort out a room when we have wanted to stay longer at short notice.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the kitchen is clean and always available with good fridge space.
The breakfast and restaurant is simply delicious, all the meals are well priced and tasty.
Transport to/from the airport has always been on time and super easy, thanks to Jose for the shuttles.
Don't hesitate to book here, your only problem is you won't want to leave.

My partner and I had an exceptional experience with Brent! You can tell he has a true love and respect for the water. His video feed back and instructions are a game changer for anyone starting to surf. An added bonus to the surf instructions are the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Professor John even set up a cold plunge and Wim Hof breathing exercises one afternoon. Highly recommend this surf camp!

Come here for a week and leave with a new family. We're a group of mature guys with a mix of surf skill levels. Fantastic instruction from Brent. He was able to teach 3 newbie 50+ guys to catch waves on their own in 5 days. More advanced guys were showed where the waves were and offered tips with an instructor escorting them. Awesome service.
Everything about this trip to Playa Venao was great. The food at the restaurant was beyond expectation. So much so that we only explored other restaurants on 3 nights.
Included in the stay was daily yoga. It was needed after 2 sessions of surfing each day.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place! John, Brent, Javier, Diego, and the rest of the team are all incredible teachers and people. They made surfing approachable, simple, and fun! Our whole group of newbies got up the first day and surfed the whole week. All thanks to this amazing group of coaches! You could tell they take pride in their teaching and were all genuinely stoked seeing us get up.

The food was amazing and the staff was great! Everyone was so welcoming. Definitely plan on going back!

We spent 8 amazing days at Beach Break. The setting is stunning - beautiful beach with incredible surf but also amazing for kids to play in the waves. Great amenities in Venao. The food on site was all great and the few times we went off site for food we had great meals.

Super family friendly - great kid activities each day AND also the opportunity for kids to just be kids and free play too in a safe and beautiful setting.

The team at BB were absolutely incredible. They made us all feel like part of their family & engaged my children in ways that made them feel so connected. The last night were there my 6 yo said was “I don’t want to leave. This feels like our home and our family.” 🥹 that says it all! Brent is an incredible surf coach & my girls LOVED him. They were full smiles during and after each lesson.
John has done amazing at creating a team that runs a tight ship and loves what they are doing.

We had a quad room (1 full + 2 twins). The room itself is basic but it’s got everything you need. We loved the shared kitchen and getting to make meals with other guests/new friends.

Just a tip: the hotels Nextdoor can get loud pretty late but we always travel with a while noise machine so it was no issue for me.

I would recommend this surf camp to anyone, I had the best week there. Awesome location right on the beautiful beach. Everybody who works there are very nice and friendly, you feel very welcomed. Installations are also great, it has everything you need.

Perfect beach front location with great waves. Ideal location to learn and progress. Tasty food in the restaurant and lots of other options nearby. Friendly and effective (and efficient!) surf instructing!! The gym/yoga space is well equipped with a great yoga teacher too. Stayed in the dorm room and it was comfortable with the AC and hot water. Definitely one of my favourite spots as I’ve been making my way through Central America. Check it out!

I spent a week in the surf camp package, taking lessons every day, living literally ON the beach. All the instructors, José Luis, Alexis & Javier were great & very motivating. Big thanks to Brent, I never had surf lessons before were the instructor gave me such helpful feedback, he seemed to notice everything in the water.

What really makes this place is the happy & open vibe, I was travelling by myself & other travelers & staff alike were super welcoming. This will be a special memory for me.

Third time at Beach Break and keeps getting better. Honestly it just feels like home. This time I brought my two children and they absolutely had the best time. My daughter was petrified of surfing but after a lesson she was all smiles for the entire week. It is just the best place to surf, relax, and meet other people (both travelers and staff).

Wonderful place in an amazing spot. Really had an excellent time there. Surfing is amazing, Brent, Alexis, and Jose Luis were great in the water. Bar and restaurant staff was wonderful as well, food was all well prepared and the drinks were spot on. Highly recommend this place to both beginner and veteran surfers, or for people just looking for a cool spot to hang out. My only complaint is about the mattresses, they were a little firm. But not the end of the world for sure. Definitely be back!

I was really impressed with Beach Break. The rooms are super comfortable and decorated great. Cold A/C & hot water is always a plus. The location is right on the beach directly in front of the best break on the beach. Everything you need is really close. The selection of surfboards to rent is the best I've seen in Panama.

Beach Break has so many amenities including a great work out area, shared kitchen, and a fantastic restaurant right on the beach. Overall, the set up is really great and they offer rooms for all budgets.

In my opinion the thing that really makes Beach Break special is the people that work there. I was really taken back with how I was welcomed for the very first minute I arrived. You can really tell they are genuinely enjoy what they do, and there is a strong focus on creating return customers.

Rooms are spartan, but with AC. They go well with the chilled, awesome vibe of Playa Venao. Loved the place. I'm currently in Bocas del Toro, and still missing Venao. Three days was definitely not enough!

John is a very skilled and gifted bjj instructor. Brent does a great job managing the surf camp, with the help of Punk (hope that's correct) and Jesus (photographer). Ravi and Sol are great at the restaurant. Food is excellent. Best pickled onions ever. They make a difference in the avo toast. Fruits are delicious. Pizzas are OK, but the meat tacos and ceviche are top notch.

But, as you can imagine after I mentioned everyone by name, the best feature of BBSC is the crew. Great place to go with family or just for bjj/surf.
