Eco Venao

Wow. What an amazing place to stay. Everyone at eco venao lodge is absolutely lovely and made us feel right at home. They upgraded our rooms the second day we got there to the incredible beach side cabanas. The views are amazing and the location is great and slightly removed from all the buzz of playa venao. If you are looking for somewhere to stay look no further it is truly fantastic.

Stayed for a few nights at Eco Venao La Casona in early August of 2023. Great location. Clean and well equiped and very helpful hosts. Cant wait to go back.

Eco Venao is the ultimate place to be in Playa Venao. Located slightly off town centre, Eco is a hidden gem where you can enjoy chilling in the best part of the beach (beach bar La Barca is there to offer food and drinks), surf (the Surf Dojo offers both lessons and rentals), hike in the nature, do horse riding, treat yourself at luxury Beach Cabañas or get a full natural experience with a more rustic stay. There is also a lovely café and a very good restaurant!
Staff at Eco Venao is the best. Always kind and happy to help.

Lovely place to stay! We stayed in the Eco Venao Casitas in the jungle, which are spacious, clean and comfy. Good food at the restaurant, nice little bar down at the beach, good surf as well. Definitely a recommendation, if you want to stay a bit away from the crowds. Thanks to the super friendly team!

I had an amazing experience here. I stayed at a beach cabana. Even had my own cabana cat! The rooms were kept clean by staff. If you’re looking to stay in playa Venao, this is the place. I took a tour of the Permaculture Farm. Did some hiking. Went to a beautiful waterfall. Even enjoyed horseback riding.

Wonderful place with heart for nature. Very friendly prices apartments for what you get! Underrated for sure! Also the food in the restaurant is outstanding.

The Beach Cabanas are very clean, everthing worked we had no problems. The Owner is a really nice and helpfull. The Price is a little hight, but you sleep right next to the Beach.

Best food we had in Playa Venao. Very quiet though, we were the only people in the restaurant. Not a bad thing, especially with kids. We were probably there on the early side too.

If you like to be one with nature, while sleeping with air conditioning and comfy sheets, eco venao is for you. Yes, breakfast takes a LONG time. That’s what happens when the restaurant only has a toaster oven to make breakfast for the entire hotel. But, that’s the point, chill. Order a açaí bowl and they will chop and blend fresh fruit in front of you. They’ll serve it in an authentic Panamanian bowl, and you’ll feel soooo good. Order breakfast, then take a beautiful walk on their grounds or on the beach, then come back and eat. However, dinner at Eco Venao is not slow - and may possibly have served me the best tomahawk steak I’ve ever had, fresh meat from a town away. The waterfall hike is extraordinary. What an experience. 5 stars.

Really wonderful coffee, friendly service, welcoming atmosphere and a super location at the entrance to the beach. The café has indoor seating, shaded tables in the garden and a breakfast and lunch menu with smoothies, pastries, cakes and sandwiches. The featured coffee changes from time to time and I’ve enjoyed the different blends, all expertly brewed by the barista Léo.

Calm, easy going place to stay at in Playa Venao. It is a little down the beach from most of the restaurants, but this is why it is so much quieter. There is a top-notch bar on the beach LaBarca and an excellent restaurant up the hill—best restaurant in Playa Venao hands down. The eco crew are always around, friendly and ready to answer any questions, give recommendations, or solve any issue you may have. There is a small waterfall hike in the premises, a reforestation project, there are horse tours… there is a lot to do, and they can arrange anything you might need. If coming from Panama City make sure to ask for the shuttle service (it is much cheaper than other options). If I could give this place six stars I would.

Wonderful surfing and sunbathing local with fun options for boogie boarding, skateboarding, kayaking, sipping piña coladas, having a burger or tasty ice cream cone by the shore!

Vlad is a master chef! We caught a snook fishing that day and he prepared four different dishes from it that were absolutely fantastic. Great ambiance as well. Bravo!

All that it says it will be, and more. Highly recommend.

Dorm experience => Lovely, calm and clean place. Not a place to meet people though. The German girl at the counter was very helpful! Dorm is spacious!

Our stay at EcoVenao was all we could ask for and more. The staff was so pleasant and welcoming. The amount of activities available provide a perfect mix of beach and mountain, best of both worlds. The room we stayed in, Beachfront Cabana, was beautiful, very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. I highly recommend doing the hike to the waterfall and the mirador. Overall our stay was excellent and we look forward to going back soon!

i loved this place!! the views, the people, the atmosphere, the town, all wonderful. the howler monkeys were a real hoot! when my kids are old enough i'm bringing them there!

The place to stay in Playa Venao! We had a fantastic time in Eco Venao!

The staff is Amazing, the location is beautiful, great food, drinks and service! There are many activities available on site (Hiking, Horseback riding, Surfing, and more.) so there is no need to leave the hotel.

A magical place to visit & to relax! We stayed at the Beach Cabañas and absolutely loved waking up to the sound of waves.

We are definitely coming back for more!

Excelent place to chillax, with monkies, birds,the sound of the waves, silence and hammock. Our stay was in casa mango for three days.

True Panama. Quite, peaceful in the midst of the jungle and it’s wildlife. Eco lodge with permaculture food. Amazing to truly relax. Friendly service staff.
