Hotel Restaurant Gerald

The location is great. The workers and owner are amazing as well. They were so warm and welcoming we felt like we were leaving friends by the end of the week. 5 minutes walk to playa largo and around 10 to 15 for most of the other public beaches on the island. The food is also amazing.

Best restaurant in the island, the staff is really accommodating and helpful, they care about making great food, loved their Schnitzel!

Great restaurant with cool atmosphere and a wide choice of different meals including both local specialties and a couple of true German ones. The Wiener Schnitzel was fantastisch!
Prices are higher as everywhere on the island, but worth it. The Schnitzel was for around $15.

Gerald’s bed and breakfast was an amazing stay. Not only was it close to many beaches & the supermarkets, but the staff were so kind and hospitable.

I mean, who doesn’t want to wake up in the morning, head downstairs and have the staff bring you your breakfast without asking because she’s memorized it only a day later.

I would highly recommend staying at Gerald’s (he’s got some iconic beer signs at the bar!)

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was excellent. Don't expect great luxury, expect a heartily warm welcome.
The place is very well situated at about 150 meters from two beaches. In the evening you can have a good dinner and a drink at the bar.
It's clean and the beds are comfy, the rooms are well insulated from the mosquitos.
Breakfast is basic and could be slightly more generous.
On top of the hotel there is a yacuzzi where you can chill.

We felt like guests - not like customers sitting on the big restaurant terrace of Geralds B&B.
Gerald and Sabine live on the island side decades and you can't imagine a question of local knowledge and experience they could not answer.
Just a few steps away from the airport (no, don't be afraid of airport noise. There is just a handful of small planes a day)
Food is good, service is ultra friendly. For us it was a perfect place to spend a whole day.

Go for ceviche! All the meals we tried were very good (including pizzas which were a nice break from all the fish). Very nice owners. Danke!

Some of the kindest most welcoming people you will meet in your travels. Highly recommend if you're looking for peace, safety and a great location!

Great lunch there today. Better prices than our hotel and big servings of pasta for the kids. Watched deer and hummingbirds while we ate. We will be back.

Chill place located an easy walk to restaurants and beaches. The food here is excellent as is the service.

I lived on Contadora Island for 2 months working on a TV show. Gerald's had, by far and away, the best food on the island.

The portion sizes, the quality of the food and the price. Everything was exceptional. My favourite was the pepperoni pizza.

Gerald is a fantastic host and we enjoyed watching him lob coconuts down the hill for Gordo. I hope to visit you both again some day!
