We had a great time with Marta on our sailing adventure to Isla Bartolomé - the wind did not cooperate, so she was prepared with PlanB… I also rented a paddle board and explored the area based on her recommendations. She is full of information and insight about the area and the people, as well as great suggestions for hidden places to get food prepared by locals. We really enjoyed our experience and highly recommend it!

I just spent 3 days with Marta and Joel on Isla Saboga and had an incredible experience. I sailed on the sailing excursion and then rented the Laser Bahia hourly afterward. I snorkeled. I camped with them. I even got to see the recycling center they run out of the back of the sailing center. Basically if they offered it, I tried it and I can't say enough good things about these 2 humans. They are doing incredible work in the community of Isla Saboga and you can tell they deeply care about the island: its customs, culture, and sense of place. Also definitely hike to Playa Larga on the southwest side of the island. A heavenly secluded beach without a beachhouse or yacht in sight. If you want to sip overpriced mojitos at a resort pool, go somewhere else. If you want to feel alive and experience a place with a flavor, go to Sailing Club Panama.

Really nice learning experience i had there! I was signup for sailing course, which went perfect, excellent teachers ( Marta and Joel in my case ), both have different approach so really nice to combine. I feel kind of confident now to go and try to sail my own boat, which i should do soon :) alongside sailing course i opted in also for windsurf classes, went really perfect, and now i am windsurfing too. Glad that i met those guys and learned working with wind little :) thank you!

Really beautiful place to do sailing, paddle surf, windsurf and many more activities. The tents are very comfortable and the space is very peaceful in the middle of palm trees. The food really good and fresh. A place I recommend to go if you are in the area. It takes 1h40min with the ferry from Panama city.

The sailing camp in the summer has been a wonderful experience for my son. I am sure he will remember the great moments he experience for the rest of his life. As parents, we are really grateful with Marta and Joel for organizing it and for taking care of my son! Fully recommended!

If you are looking for the perfect opportunity to disconnect and have some great time, Sailing Club Panama in Saboga is what you need! Turquoise water, pristine islands, sailing, stand up paddle, yoga, snorkeling with sea turtles and manta rays will make you live the best experience in Panama. Marta and Joel are always there to accommodate any preference and make your stay simply perfect. Highly recommended to get the full weekend package (also includes delicious meals!) to enjoy two days surrounded by nature, try all their activities and get to know their recycling project.
Hasta pronto!!

My family (my wife and I and our 12 year old) did the 3 hour sailing tour, and I've got to say that it was the best thing that we did during our weeklong visit to Panama. The sailing over to Isla Bartoleme was great with our guide Joel having our family actively participate by manning some of the sail lines (under his instruction of course). When we arrived at the Bartoleme, we had the island to ourselves and after a snack of fresh pineapple that Joel had brought, it was time to snorkel. The snorkeling was amazing! Tons of beautiful and unique tropical fish and really cool coral formations. I could have spent the entire day out there. After our time snorkeling, Joel led around on a short walk around the deserted island before jumping back into the sailboat. On the way back, Joel made it his mission to have us see a sea turtle. It took a couple laps sailing around the harbor, but he did find us two turtles and a manta ray. All in all, it was an incredible morning for us. If you're visiting Saboga or Contadora I highly recommend this tour.

Wow! My friend and I had such a wonderful time with Sailing Club Panama! It really was an awesome adventure. From trekking and hiking to hidden beaches to snorkeling with the fishes and yoga paddleboarding, they provided a fun experience all around. Marta, Joel, and Diana were wonderful hosts. They provided us lodging and amazing food prepared by locals! Located in the Island of Saboga, about an hour ferry ride from Panama City, this is a great getaway for adventure seekers and people looking to immerse themselves in Panamanian culture.

Best summer camp ever!!! My 12-year-old son had an amazing experience, from setting sail at sunrise for the 5 hour trip to Saboga until he returned five days later full of stories about sailing, camping, paddle boarding, hiking, team building games, a list of the names and family relationships of every single dog on Saboga Island, he clearly had a blast. Kids were not allowed to take cell phones or their own food so he was able to fully enjoy the experience and even learned that sometimes sitting and doing absolutely nothing can also be a pretty cool activity.

Marta and her team kept us parents suffering from separation anxiety well supplied with photos, videos and audio updates so we got to enjoy the fun vicariously.

When I asked my son what his favourite part of the camp was he simply replied, "I loved all of it!".

About Isla del Rey
Island in Panama

Isla del Rey is the largest island in the Pearl Islands in the Gulf of Panama. It has an area of 234 square kilometres, and a population of 1,676. Its current name is probably more a reference to Christ the King than to a secular king. There are four towns, which are San Miguel, La Esmeralda, La Ensenada and La Guinea. It is larger than the other Pearl Islands combined, and is the second largest island in Panama, after Coiba. source
