First: it's an Aldi: if you're visiting Spain (or any other country where they are for that matter) and want to get some affordable supplies and a few local treats/delicacies to bring back home, this is an excellent place!

Definitely would suggest going here as it’s got the cheapest food and items a holiday traveler would need compared to any of the other shops in town except Lidl

Most of the people working here are friendly and helpful. Some exceptionally so.
The range of products is good albeit slightly limited but everything is ALWAYS fresh.
This is my favourite local supermarket:)

Cheap goods and friendly staff. Not your upscale grocery store but it has everything you need at the lowest prices. I enjoyed being here. I felt like a local for a brief moment.

When it comes to getting value for money at supermarkets, you will generally find that Aldi ranks amongst the best. With a dozen stores spread throughout Amsterdam, the branch at Nieuwe Weteringstraat, a side street of the busy Vijzelstraat, one of the city's major artery roads,.is the only one located in the city centre.

A German family owned business, Aldi operates over 10,000 stores in 20 countries with a combined estimated turnover in excess of €50 billion.

In addition to their many own in-house brands, this comparatively small branch stocks a sizeable number of leading brands. The emphasis is on food, both fresh and frozen, In addition, the store has a good selection of award winning wines and liqueurs, as well as champagne and prosecco at unrivalled prices. Other great bargains are coffee and chocolate. The store has an in-house bakery and also offers a limited but constantly revolving selection of clothing, toiletries, tools, kitchen utensils, gadgets and electronics on a first come, first served basis.

Within easy walking distance from Leidseplein and due to its unique location, the store boasts a somewhat village-like atmosphere, making it a popular venue for both locals and tourists. Friendly staff and low pricing prove to be a winning combination. It is worthwhile combining with a visit to the close-by Albert Cuyp Market. Aldi is open 7 days a week.

A fun and fruitful shopping experience for a non-Dutch speaker. We spent time gathering food for our hotel room and found many inexpensive options.

As far as Aldi's go, it's a great one 😅
Friendly staff, decent enough selection of fresh food and aldi-prices you can't beat. I prefer ecoplaza around the corner for my fresh produce, but this one has most things I can't get there.

Always fun to wander through aldi in different countries. And with a few Trader Joe's items mixed in.

ALDI is a German discount chain They have a limited, but essential selection of goods, mostly their own "white label" brands. These are actually rebranded Aldi specific runs of well known, highly regarded German brands.

Aldi is known for low priced, high quality, low on added preservatives foodstuffs. Their lack of presentation and the utilitarian look of their shops is legendary.

They accept cash and local debit cards, no credit cards. They are clearly aiming at local return customers doing their bulk everyday food run, not at tourists.

A good supermarket especially for outsiders. You can get almost everything here for eating and drinking. Quite a good place especially in Amsterdam where everything is expensive.

Nice and compact but they have everything I need. And then a little more.

If you are a tourist, just walk to this side of town and everything is cheaper, they dont take master card or visa (only maestro) so make sure you have cash.
