Toko Makassar

The Nasi Goreng with toppings is delicious and easily the best Indonesian food you can get outside of Indonesia. Really authentic food that tastes just like its made in Indonesia. Servings are huge, so if you’re not too hungry, heat up half and save some for later or share it!

Many of the negative reviews here comment on one of the owner’s attitude, which I also experienced but he mostly appeared to be cheeky and not outwardly mean. Don’t let those reviews turn you away from getting a takeaway nasi goreng from this toko, you’ll only be dealing with him for 2 minutes for an absolutely delicious meal!

This indonesian foodshop ( toko ) is an understanding for more then 40 years in Amsterdam. And still going strong. Man, they got good food and a friendly staff.

Makassar sells tasty and well prepared take away meals. But the real winner here are their snacks. Their home made indonesian snacks are the best in the Amsterdam area. Definitely try their: risolles, kroket and martabak chicken. Note: expect a line during rush hours.

One of the owners / personnel (one of the old guys) can be snarky and grumpy, but the rest is helpful and nice.

EDIT: things have improved quite a bit with some new additional staff around. And so the review improved.

We buy giant packs of Tempeh and yummy soya beans here. They also have delicious Indonesian take away. You can choose to take it home cold so you can heat it up there which is our favorite option. They also have a ton of vegan options.

Get your Indonesian snacks here. The best place to get them in my opinion. Toko Makassar is really well known in the Indonesian community.
I especially recommend the penada, risolles and perkedel jagung.

Een vriendin heeft afgelopen vrijdag een rijsttafel voor 4 personen afgehaald met nog wat andere gerechten en ikan pepesan erbij. Zo lekker en goed gegeten! Absoluut een aanrader!

Baru pertama kali ke Toko Makasar, infonya bahkan sudah 51 thn sebelumnya ganti nama menjadi toko Makasar. Menjual bahan produk dari Indonesia dan ada masakan Indonesia, saya pesan Ayam Rujak dan Ayam Bali, sebenarnya banyak sih Nasi Rames dan kawan²nya. Support Masakan Indonesia

Indonesische snacks. Hier ga je heen voor risoles, lemper, kroket, kue lapis, dadar gulung en meer. Mijn go-to toko sinds voor altijd.

Heerlijk eten, fijn personeel en goede prijzen, kortom, gewoon bij Toko Makassar je lekker eten halen, absoluut een aanraden en ik ga zeker vaker heen als ik in Geuzenveld ben!

Perfect eten en zulke lieverds! Hier ben je nog steeds echt klant. Gewoon top!
