Fabulous from start to finish. Great meal and the steak was cooked literally to perfection.

The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was so busy which is always a great sign.

Good place to eat quality if you are ever in Amsterdam!

Very nice atmosphere on a Friday evening. We did try some appetizers which were very nice together with some drinks. The staff was great and the interior design. The place is also interesting.

Great bar! The only place we visited twice on our trip to Amsterdam. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were absolutely delicious. They have an amazing garden in the back. If you lucky enough, you might get a seat there. We tried probably 3/4 of the cocktails on their list and would happily drink them all again. The 'p.martini' and the 'Lionjito' are must haves. Haven't had dinner here or the bar snacks but will try that for sure the next time we are in Amsterdam.

Great upmarket dining in a very beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with excellent, friendly service. Every dish was a great combination of flavours.
We went two days in a row for a three and four course dinner respectively, choosing the chef's menu where you don't know upfront what you are getting. Also the wine pairings were great! Staff make you feel very welcome and well taken care of.

Very friendly ,professional and accommodating staff, Easy and relaxed. The Gentleman by the name of Koen, just excellent! Food was Great & the restaurant with it's diverse deco styles matched up has a very warm & cosy atmosphere.I wish the steak tartare with duck liver was a little bit more of a meal than a snack, even if it would cost a little more. Just a perfect place to enjoy and celebrate any special occasion

Read numerous recommendations about Lion Noir before going there and the experience fully lived up to my expectations.

We had a reservation for Saturday evening at 21 pm. At arrival we got greeted by the friendliest and smiling staff in the bar area. We ordered some drinks while waiting for our table.

We was then shown to our table on the first floor. Restaurant is spacious and tables spread out so you get both privacy and the vibe from other guest.

Menu is great and has a good variety of fish and meat. Try the oysters from Ireland - really meaty and tasty.

After a fantastic dinner we stayed for some cocktails before heading on.

I can fully recommend Lion Noir.

Overall, a really nice experience. We had booked a same day reservation for 19:00, and we arrived before the rush and had our choice of table. We were quickly greeted, offered water, and soon thereafter we order a manhattan and an Alice in wonderland cocktail. Both were spot-on refreshing. We then ordered the 5-course chef’s menu. All courses were good, but the highlight was the seared scallops in beurre blanc. Perfectly cooked and balanced with crispy tempura. A close second was the braised beef short rib, though we did find it a bit salty. And the final course, the dessert, was a combination of grapefruit and other citrus flavors with meringue, chocolate cake crumble and caramel planks. Definitely planning to return to try some delicious sounding plates on their a la cart menu.

When I was looking for the restaurant, I passed by it first since there is no clear sign/restaurant name, so had to walk back.

Upon entering I immediately loved the ambiance and interior. We had areservation and I was the first one there. The waiter asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar first or wait at the table, of which I chose the latter. (We had a table upstairs)

My first thought on seeing the tables: it would be perfect for a romantic dinner date!

We ordered oysters and I had a glass of Chardonnay with it.
The three of us all ordered the surprise menu. I checked beforehand if there would be meat and fish in it.If you have special dietry wishes, you should ask for that. The dishes were both pleasing to the eye and tastebuds. The dessert was a bit heavy but very delicious. Staff is doing a great job.

It is a bit expensive, but it will be worth it.
Would love to return!

Love that place. One of most splendid ambiences in Amsterdam I think, with super cute staff, very nice manager and great music. Awesome bites and coctails. Bloody mexican is a killer, alice delicious as well. Try blines with kaviar and tempura shrimps - Ill run back for them anytime! Next month we are throwing my bf bday there!

It’s a nice restaurant, the food is perfect. We went for the chief recommendation and it was perfect. The service was great as well, the waiters are friendly and explain everything.

The restaurant is beautiful and the courtyard where we ate is peaceful and romantic. We had such a lovely meal and we stayed for hours, enjoying our last night in Amsterdam. The service was amazing; the staff are very helpful and friendly, they even gave us blankets when we got cold! The food itself was delicious and the wine we had was lovely. The whole evening was simply perfect.

Everything about this place was great. From service to the food, it was fantastic.

The dinner was absolutely delicious and special! The service as well the food were outstanding to the last detail. The staff was personal and managed the service perfectly. We really had a romantic evening together, definitely a place to go back to!

Tbh, this place is hidden gem and it surprises me with its gorgeous terrace, tasted food and amazing staffs. The entire environment is chill and trendy. The owner has his own vibe and he is super lovely!

Great looking place although it looks like nothing from the street... My oysters with soya sauce and ginger were wonderfully fresh and super tasty...

We had a fixed group menu with 2 wine pairings.It was lovely with inspiring food combinations, just the exact quantity of food. They made me a lactose free desert which was amazing because otherwise they would have served panacota . Usually they just add lactose free milk instead but at this place the chef made his best so my desert was amazing 😉 the rest of the table were jealous :)
