Le French Café - Javastraat

Le French Cafe is an oasis of excellent food in Amsterdam! I have enjoyed coming to this place many times and it only gets better. A cozy candle lit ambiance only adds to a marvelous experience here. Dishes are delicious and you can find french cuisine at it’s best. Carefully selected wine list and cocktails are available as well as small bites if that’s what you want. A big shout out to Job and the whole team for making evenings here so special. I strongly recommend this place!

Not speaking of how the food and service at "Le French Café" were top notch and impeccable. I'm focusing on the bathroom situation. The bathroom experience at LFC is sublime. It fits the style of the place, and feels like a really nice and lived-in café somewhere in Lyon. My only concern would be the candle use at LFC -- it must be very impressive (really costly; there are a lot of them).

Loved the food there, especially the cauliflower. The chocolate mousse was out of this world and I would have loved a bigger portion! The cocktails were also very good.

I wasn’t too convinced with the cheese platter that I found quite small and some cheese weren’t that great.

Would be great if they could add more vegan options for mains on the menu.

As a french, I can easily say that this restaurant is really decent. I loved the dishes. It really respects the French gastronomy 👌

Great place that I’d highly recommend! We went there for a brunch, around noon and the place was visibly busy with almost no empty tables. Despite them being so busy the service was perfect! The drinks and food arrived hot and quick. Waiters friendly but not overly friendly. We ordered Croque madame, chicken salad and pain au chocolat - everything was super delicious. We will be back for dinner!
Bonus point: this is a dog friendly place:)

The best floating islands dessert on Amsterdam. The duck rillette was delicious, just the duck confit was dry, maybe not rush it. They were flexible to replace the potato mash with veggies. Overall a solid 9/10 and will definitely go back to try more.

Brand new place, looking very good. Owners and the staff are making a lot of effort. Very tasty food and nice drinks! Will go again!

Lovely new addition to the neighborhood! good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Today i went for lunch, but i will definately check out their dinner menu soon.

We have been wanting to go to Le French Cafe for a while. Now we wonder what took us so long. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Our server ( blond girl with curly hair ) we couldn’t get her name, was lovely. The atmosphere is really nice. The Food was incredible. We ordered the steak and frites and Croque Madame. The Croque Madame was the best we ever had and my husband use to leave in France.
We will be back and bring all our friends and family for sure.

Amazing restaurant, great atmosphere and good quality food. This restaurant is managed by someone with a good taste of hospitality, food and pricing. Highly recommend to go and experience.

Great staff and delicious food!
We had dinner here a couple of days ago and it was an amazing evening! The staff was amazing and even brought little fireworks for a friend’s birthday with the dessert! The food and the drinks were delicious! We will definitely be back soon!

Remember: If you are looking for a restaurant in the last minute, this is definetly not a good place to have a table without a slot booking, remember to book first. This place is always busy.
It's busy because they really bring you for a walk in somewhere you dream in France. Smell and flavours combined in the same place.
They are very sofisticated and the food is amazing. The experience is awesome.
Definetly worth every single cent spent in this restaurant.

Finally open!

We are living in the neighbourhood and we love to go out with my man.

Before Le French was open, we would go to the other restaurants which would take us at least 15 minutes cycling. It is neat to have a gorgeous place near by.

Nice place for some French wine, nibbels and food.

Good food, great wines (loads of ‘em just ask and they will hook you up with a great pairing), good vibe! Complete dinner or small bites to share.. Beers, wine, cocktails or pastis (to complete the French vibe) .. ohh and the Oysters, the good ones! French vibes with a down to earth Amsterdam touch!

Faboulos new place on this vibrant street! Congratulations to Job and his team, my daughter and I had a great meal and very good wine (in a really good wine glass!)
Best was the Steak Frites and the Poussin, just forget the decorative little tomatoes🫣.
The new trend in the French kitchen is definitely down to the basics, but these basics up to perfection!

Really happy with this new place in the neighborhood. The food was excellent. Best green asparagus really amazing octopus and the staff and atmosphere where lovely too.
