French cuisine in Amsterdam. The food was delicious and service was friendly. Also has a cozy terrace when the weather is nice, will visit again

Definitely one of the nicest decorations in Amsterdam! It’s super cute and chic both inside and outside.
The food is absolutely delicious! I enjoyed everything that I had a lot! The portions are quite decent. The prices are a little bit high but quality-price balance is okay!
The wine selection is not the best for such a place so it would be the only improvement in my opinion.
This time I reserved a table inside but definitely will be back in a sunny Amsterdam to enjoy the good food in this cute terrace!
Definitely a great French restaurant worth visiting in the city.

Staying in Amsterdam Zuid neighborhood... there are many wonderful restaurants but this one stands out uniquely. My salad was so delicious and the service was outstanding too 😋 (2023-08-17)

It is a lovely French place in Amsterdam. Everything you can dream of in terms of national French cuisine is here. We did like the food and the atmosphere, however it is important to mention the food includes a lot of butter, typical French. Delicious French fries with steak and escargots.

The atmosphere is very nice, everything rhymes with Paris to a certain extent.
They serve good wines by the glass, the Saint Emilion was very good.
I had the steak (bavette), i need it to put more salt but overall it was very good!
The table next to us had the chicken which smelled very close to the ones in Paris.
Service was good, very good in terms of timing given that it was full inside and out.

French bistro with an elegant atmosphere. Weekday dinner dine-in. We made a reservation for the bar seats. For a group of two, we ordered six oysters, niçoise salad (neatly halved), steak with fries, and their signature rotisserie chicken with another side; a couple of cremant glasses and a bottle shared. Overall exquisite flavors! The flavor of the foie gras add-on to the steak was not as strong as I had wished. The receptionist and servers were all kind and attentive.

But, if I must say, the dining tables are quite densely placed side by side; it created a busy and cozy atmosphere, but this busyness led to decreased attention at the end.

Went there for X-Mas eve dinner with a friend of mine to check it out. The place is very cozy, the interior and service are super nice! Food was tasty as well. All over a very pleasant experience! Thank you! Would definitely recommend:)

Instantly loved this place. From the interiors to the friendly service, Cafe Garçon is out to improve Amsterdam’s hospitality standards. All the dishes we tried were tasty, but the highlights for me were the garnalen croquettes, the kabeljauw fillet, and the tarte tatin for dessert (probably the best one in the city). Worth coming back for. Gezellig!

Really good food and warm service

Always lovely. Great food, nice drinks, good vibes. Little hidden gem with proper Parisian vibes in the less touristy part of Amsterdam.

Thank you so much for the amazing food and lovely service, especially a big big thanks to our waitress Juliette she has made our night! Would recommend het hospitality to every guest, so lucky to have her in your team! Can’t wait to visit soon again!

We dined with some dear friends at Cafe Garçon, which was our selection. The service was impeccable and paced perfectly. The ambience is relaxed and elegant. The Steak Frites with a selection of sauces to choose from was a hit. The wonderful Filet de Fletan in beurre blanc was the lightest and most delicious fish I’ve had in years. Another friend selected the Carre d’Agneau, which was also wonderful. We can’t wait to return.
