I went to this museum two years ago during a three-month trip through Europe (I live in the U.S.), and despite going to some of the most world-renowned museums, I consider this little Amsterdam one to be in my overall top three! So when I found myself again in Amsterdam this week, it was a no-brainer that I'd be returning for a second visit. This museum is incredible!

i absolutely loved this museum. it offered three different floors, each one representing the past, the present and hopefully the future of fashion. everything was extremely interesting, in particular on the last floor, all the different small solutions to the huge problem of environmental impact of the fashion industry. seeing so up close old looks from major luxury houses such as chanel, balenciaga, versace etc. was a privilege. i also enjoyed exploring the cutting-edge looks on the last floor, from contemporary designers. the staff was nice and i also liked the interactive bracelet's function.

Fashion for good is a platform for sustainable fashion innovation. In this space you can learn how your clothes are made and discover exciting innovations that shape our future.

The building is divided into multiple sections. The museum is open to the public which is spread across three floors. Where you can find out the history of the apparel industry. Or things like how much water is spent on making a basic tee shirt. The lives of apparel workers.

On another floor you are able to see the pioneering work in the sustainable world where people have come together to make the world a better place.

Also there is a Co working space for innovators from around the world to come together and share their ideas and incubate them. Fashion for good also helps these innovators to find right investors and support their ideas to become a reality.

They do have summits on a regular basis where investors and innovators are mixed with each other.

The foundation is backed by multiple big fashion brands.

I only happened to be walking by and popped in for a look and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful explaining how the museum works. A lot of really useful and interesting information laid out in a simple and interactive way. I really appreciate the message they are trying to get across too. I hope more people will be intrigued to have a look and become more educated and informed on such an important topic. Would visit again.

Great concept featuring circular brands, events with the founders, clothing swaps, everything what it takes to avoid sweeping “consumerist” approach

I loved it! The museum and shop gives us a good understanding of what it takes to be sustainable in our fashion choices and what the fashion industry is working towards and lacking in at the moment. Interactive parts, exhibits on past, present and future, and you can design your own 100% sustainable shirt for 20 euro. The staff knows their stuff and are friendly. We designed a shirt and went to see the process! Check it out!

An interesting, in-depth exhibition that expertly explained and visualised the various effects fashion has socially and environmentally, focused on three separate collections: Past, Contemporary, Future. Clothes shown in some exhibitions, most notably the contemporary fashion, were able to be purchased.

In short, well worth the visit

This museum was really interesting to gain a perspective on how clothing is made. As well, this museum has an interactive feature of easy things that you can do to help make the fashion world a better place through a list of challenges. Furthermore, the museum has exhibits on the prospective future of clothing, such as new labor processes and material made from apple skins (which you can touch!). You can also print your own t-shirts in a cool model projection and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Lastly, entrance is free so check it out.

Free and interesting museum about fashion. Mostly the focus is on how clothing and textiles are produced. You walk through a timeline of the history of clothing manufacturering and then get to see what innovations will be forefront in the future .

I found it really informative and eye opening.

There aren't many museums on this topic so I was very happy I found this one. Great if you want to learn more about the development of production, different materials and sustainable fashion in the future.

Free entry often (I went on a Sunday and it was free) and great opportunity to learn more about clothing manufacturing, its impact on the environment, as well as sustainable fashion. Room made of potato waste fabric is perfect for fun photos. If you go in on a nice day, chances are you’ll be in there alone to be as obnoxious as you want with selfies! Just remember to take off your shoes. Staff was great and engaging. Free posters. Be sure to buy a C2C t-shirt or tote (about 10 euro) to support the cause!
