We spent 5 nights at this lovely hotel. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, the coffee was VERY good (and plentiful!). The owners and staff answered all of our questions and went out of their way to make us more comfy after our long journey. The room was stylish, clean and delightful. The hot water in the shower was super hot and the bath products smelled divine. We rented bikes and were a quick ride from wherever we wanted to go in the city. Such a charming spot — thank you Rachel, we will be back next time w our children !! Xo leela

Updating as I returned here again in 2023. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, great central location and the owners were absolutely fantastic to deal with as they were doing some small renovations on the bar and even arranged for us to eat breakfast at the cafe next door so we weren't interrupted. Definitely an experience with the Amsterdam stairs but even after some (many 😅) drinks I was able to manage them no problem. We were in a canal facing room over a weekend and while there was some noise it was easily drowned out by the white noise machine provided in the room. Will continue to return when we visit Amsterdam

Fantastic location!
Amazing service at the facility, both lodging and restaurant/bar; "everyone" is simply exceptional. They set a really high bar when it comes to customer service.
The rooms are cozy, clean and very comfortable. Well insulated from any external noise.
Train and Metro stations are less than 10 minute walks.
Continental breakfast served with custom egg preparations like Omelettes.
The bar serves probably one of the finest drinks and cocktails you will find anywhere. The ambiance is unique and very cool. Know that it's not a restaurant to dine though.
The owners and staff are simply the best at ensuring their customers are well taken care of.
Will definitely stay here. Every. Visit.

Great fun in Amsterdam! Charming hidden gem in the middle of city center. Our rooms were lovely and overlooked canal. Perhaps our favorite was returning in the evening to the lively cocktail bar. It was small and intimate with a selection of unique drinks! I definitely recommend this for those that are looking for something a little unique.

Great boutique B&B right in the heart of Amsterdam. Really friendly staff and a great breakfast. We found our room a little snug and there wasn't very many places to put things, especially in the bathroom, but it was a lovely place to stay, really comfy big bed and would absolutely go back again.

Nice boutique hotel in prime neighborhood (red light district). Right on a very old canal. Bar on the ground floor is amazing and guests can get a reservation. Rooms are small, typical for urban hotel. Steep stairs to the rooms. Would definitely stay there again

Highly recommended for an authentic Amsterdam experience! The room was relatively large and comfortable with lots of nice touches like fresh flowers, nespresso machine, mini bar refilled daily, high quality toiletries, and fast internet connection. The owners are very kind and helpful and breakfast is prepared for you daily. Great location in the center of Amsterdam with easy metro access.

Such a lovely way to stay in the middle of Amsterdam. For Dutch standards, the room was big, clean, comfortable and cozy. The owners welcome you personally and breakfast is prepared to your individual taste (including GLUTEN FREE bread!). Wonderful.

Absolutely loved this little hotel in Centrum. Beautiful, chic, and feels like home. The couple who own it are fantastic, super kind and happy to help however you need. The rooms are charming. The breakfast is delicious. The location is excellent. It's the only place I want to stay in Amsterdam and it's the first place I've stayed! Thank you Rachel and Pipjen!!

Wonderful place - would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff were attentive, friendly and on point, rooms were interestingly decorated, and the drinks at the cocktail bar downstairs were some of the best we had our whole trip.

Just WOW. This is a little hotel in the heart of the town and it was by far the nicest stay at a hotel i ever had. Room was very cute and nice and the bed was supercomfy! Everything clean. Champagne and chocolates as a hello. A free minibar that was restocked every day.
The breakfast was fresh made whenever you got there.
AMAZING cocktails at the bar! The best i ever had with the most interesting taste! We really enjoyed them. Because there were that good we didn´t go lookin for other bars.
The owners and staff are really nice people. Their recommendations were amazing. They helped whenever we needed them and were absolutly aproachable. I am very happy that we chose this hotel and I promise I´ll come back. Requesting the same room and one titania every night ;-)

We booked misc eatdrinksleep for a 3 night 'minimoon' after our wedding. It was the perfect choice. We arrived before our room was ready but the owner was happy for us to leave our bags while we went for lunch. Upon returning we were shown to our room 'the Rembrandt'. The views over the canal are lovely for watching the world go by, the bed was massive, nice furnishings and a clean bathroom and loo. The only down side is the 2 sets of very steep stairs that you have to climb to get to the room - but I think this is a feature of nearly all buildings in Amsterdam!
The breakfast was good - fresh bread, smoothies, cereal, croissants, bacon and eggs, coffee - we certainly didn't feel the need to snack before lunch!
The location is excellent - on the edge of the red light district but still quiet in at night. It's also only a short walk to the main station.
I would go back to misc eatdrinksleep on another trip to Amsterdam

After just leaving a short 5 star recommendation without any explanation, I can't help but say a few things about this lovely hotel because we really did enjoy our stay very much thanks to the perfectly lovely hosts who were never too busy to have a little chat or give recommendations on possible activities.
Misceatdrinksleep ist the perfect place for everyone who appreciates a calm little place right in the centre of the city. The canal view room we had are decorated with lots of love, and the free selection of drinks and snacks in the mini bar was a nice and truly unexpected bonus. Breakfast included a very tasty selection of cheese (and ham), some muesli, fresh fruits, freshly-squeezed orange juice and any kind of egg prepared by the super friendly staff! Thanks for everything! You really made us feel homely on vacation! We could not have found a better place to celebrate a calm yet special 30th birthday!

This is a lovely boutique hotel located in front of a canal and within walking distance to everything you wish to see in Amsterdam. It is in an authentic Amsterdam building with steep stairwells and lots of charm. The owners were lovely and welcomed us with the BEST cappuccino's when we arrived. It was very cold out. The staff carried our luggage up the narrow stairs to our room. It was greatly appreciated. The room and bed was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the snacks that were provided. Breakfast was wonderful and very filling. Gabriel and John gave great service. The bar staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Pepijn was patient with our questions and provided a great location to have an authentic Dutch meal and where to buy the best Dutch chocolate. I would recommend staying at Rosalia's Inn Upstairs! We now have lovely memories to add to our adventures.

Small, quaint, unique place; wonderful owners, friendly staff, and very well located, with many places within walking distance. Highly recommended, if kids are not in the visiting party. The individual rooms are well appointed and spacious. A big thumbs up!

When on a Business trip to Amsterdam I stayed just one night at Rosalia's Menagerie Inn Upstairs and I loved it... It has just 6 individually styled boutique rooms and mine (a King bed double) was comfortable and provided everything I needed for my stay. The owner Rachel Bonnewell was lovely and treated me with warmth and kindness from check in to check out, she was a perfect host. I loved the quirky decor and the personally prepared breakfast was delicious and a great start to my day walking Amsterdam. The hotel location was perfect also in Central Amsterdam, I literally walked everywhere during my 2 days in the City. My room was €150 per night with breakfast. The Inn is 'upstairs' and the stairs are typical of old Dutch houses in as much as climbing them is not for anyone who has ill health or mobility issues... Note there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, steep and twisty. I will certainly stay again and hope to do so in the Summer of 2024.
