Restaurant Wils*

Enjoyed the six course tasting menu and each dish was superb and full of flavour. From when we arrived (rain drenched!), the staff were friendly and provided excellent service. You can see the kitchen team at work and this adds to the atmosphere. We had a table but you can also book a kitchen seat, which also looks like a good option. Booking before 19.00 for an early bird gives a discount too, making it even better value. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion.

From start to finish, each dish was a surprise. a blend of flavors, scents, that only a talented chef Friso Van Amerogen and his mentor Chef Joris Bijdendijk from Rijks could imagine.

Service for lunch was both friendly, informative and oddly familiar. The entire team worked together. It is obvious they are proud of their work, the ambience for lunch was fun!

There are 2 different types of wine pairings. I took the route for discovery. Not only was the pairing enhancing the dish, but sourcing wines globally, and reasonably priced.

I chose the 4 course, and added supplements. This is a smart business decision. As a customer can continue to go back regularly without waiting for the menu to change.

The location across from Olympic Stadium is a cool space above a bike shop. Funky. Open space. Clean lines.

This is a well deserved Michelin. Bravo!

Celebrated our anniversary here with my girlfriend. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had combinations of flavours from quality ingredients that I hadn’t tasted before.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration at Wils Restaurant. The staff is great, friendly and very experienced when it comes to treat customers to feel like in heaven. The food was second to none. We had the chefs menu which included 6 course and a wine arrangement. We will come back definitely with family and friends. Thanks a lot for having such a great time. Furthermore we received a birthday cake which is called Basque Cheese cake. Awesome as expected. Thanks a lot to the whole team.

Great dining experience. Looking at their menu & dishes it's clearly evident that the Chef has mastered the "Art of Food Making". Their choices of Wines for every course was definitely a cherry on top of the whole experience 👍👌👏. Kudos to the Chef & the whole "Wils" team.

Wils is elevating Amsterdam restaurants and food level!! We have visited a couple of times and both have been delicious and consistently good cooking and flavours. Also, great value for what the level of cuisine they offer.

Service is very good and the desserts deserve mentioning… there is a pastry chef master working there.

We heard much about this place but couldn’t visit before the Corona broke out. Finally, we managed to visit yesterday and it was splendid! Fine dining at its best!

Very impressed. We had the 5 course menu with wine pairings and everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cosy and not pretentious.

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were great too. I recommend spending an amazing evening here. We took a kitchen table so we saw alot of the food prepared and chat to the chefs as well!!!

The service provided was impeccable and the food outstanding! Recommend going for the 5 menu course so you can try a variety of the offer provided.

What a gem! Not sure how and if I will enjoy my own BBQ/smoked food after eating at this lovely place.

The kitchen table is definitely a recommendation as you will get a grasp of how old and new (fire) techniques are being used. Absolutely loved the trout, the opperdoezer ronde and the beurre blanc.

Lovely ambiance, the kitchen-side tables provide an interesting view of the creation of your meal. Each course is served by the person who makes it, which was a nice touch.
The food itself is interesting and delicious, especially the monkfish. Great experience.

Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Fresh and fermented flavours. The octopus was my favourite dish.

A magnificent journey through the mind of the chef, perfectly executed with precision by a focused, yet congenial team. Astounding sense of balance, perfect if not-always-intuitive pairings, and beautiful presentation. Highly recommended. Precision without pretense.

Obviously expensive, but you pay for what you get. Absolutely lovely night with the most amazing food.

Very nice restaurant with a great location next to the Olympic stadium in Amsterdam. Service is great and the food tasted very high level! Parking easy at the stadium.

A great addition to the Amsterdam dining scene. Warm space dominated by the comforting smell of a wood-fired oven.

Clever menu options take the palate in different, unexpected and rewarding directions. Polite and helpful staff. Fun to dine at the counter to watch the kitchen activity.
