Hilton Amsterdam

Well located on the outskirts, great view of a canal, excellent service. Parking is pricey and a bit limited, but on-site. Easy walking to local restaurants and shops, a bit of a leg for downtown attractions.

Lovely place to stay in Amsterdam. I don’t normally like to come back to visit the same hotel after staying but Hilton Amsterdam got me hooked. The hospitality is one of the best compared to other chain hotels. The hotel has an element of classics from their decorations to small things like the way waiting staff address you. The view was spectacular and I highly recommend choosing room with the canal view. The rooms were well-designed with high quality furnishings. We were surprised to learn this is the first international Hilton hotel since everything was so well maintained.

I particularly enjoyed the hospitality here. Coming from Asia, there is a certain high expectation which is hard to find in Europe. I will definitely come back to Hilton Amsterdam again.

“Drove from Paris to the Amsterdam Hilton.” If you’re a huge Beatles fan, you probably ended up here for that reason. That alone was enough for me, but the hotel and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! We can not wait to come back. Clean, spacious, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. + the Beatles history! Perfect.

There are countless positive things to mention about this hotel. Located just outside the city center along the canal, it offers excellent value for its rooms and amenities. The staff was incredibly welcoming.

Excellent hotel in a quiet neighborhood but rather close to main Amsterdam attractions. Very good amenities and services... the only downside is the steep price.

Later Edit: decreased the rooms rating because of noise (room was located next to housekeeping facilities with a lot of noise after 06:30 AM).

The Amsterdam Hilton is a special place. It is located in a great neighborhood not too far from the major museum park and away from the inner city congestion. Roberto’s restaurant has fantastic food and a responsive staff. The indoor lounge and exterior patio have a relaxing view of the canal.

I've read a lot of bad reviews before my stay but I’m so glad that I reserved this hotel. The whole staff it’s amazing! We came to the hotel very early around 10 but in 90 minutes our rooms were ready! We could spent this time in an amazing executive lounge on the top floor with the city view. The rooms are very nice designed and very comfy. We had a rooms with canal view which was really great. Hotel has fabulous outdoor restaurant next to the water with comfy sofas. The breakfast is tasty and restaurant it’s not so crowded. Also the hote area it’s very nice. There is a tram 5 min walk from the hotel but also you can easly make a pleasant walk to the center. Airport is just 15 min by uber. For sure I will come back!!!

I felt like Royalty! I honestly have never been treated so well. As a Hilton honors member, we received an email before we arrived saying we got a free upgrade to our room and asking for any special requests. This was so thoughtful!! I asked for a feather free room as I'm allergic. We were allowed early check in around noon and the room was great! Large, excellent views, clean, updated and feather free! The air conditioner didn't seem to be working by day 2 and they tried to fix it with no luck. We were offered another room and it was sooo nice! It was a junior suite on a corner with a balcony and doors you could open to let the breeze in. Then they sent a plate of chocolates and fruit with drinks to apologize for the inconvenience.
We had free breakfast every day which was amazing! Elana, one of the servers there was the most enjoyable employee by far. She greeted us with a smile every morning and asked how our stay was going. She asked what our plans for the day were and even checked the weather for us. You could tell she enjoyed what she was doing and took great pride in her job. Every person we encountered there had exceptional customer service and made us feel valued and cared for, but I liked Elana the best!
The location was great for us. it was a few blocks walk to public transportation to anywhere. If you're going to Amsterdam I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Hilton Amsterdam is in a quiet residential location and ideal for visits to the nearby museums as easily walkable.
Hotel is lovely - light and bright lobby area which leads to an outdoor dining patio overlooking a small lawned area alongisde the canal.
We received a warm friendly welcome on arrival and checking in for a 3 night stay was speedy and efficient. Room was spacious and spotless. Bathroom was well laid out although not particularly big, it had double sinks and a bath incorporating the shower.
Bed was super comfy. We had room service one night which came promptly and the pizza was tasty.
We didnt have dinner here but breakfast in Roberto's was the highlight! Lots of variety and as well as a well serviced hot/cold buffet, there was an a la carte menu offering omelettes, poached eggs with salmon and other freshly made breakfast delights. Food tasted fresh and looked tempting. It was an excellent start to the working day! Staff were always attentive and on hand offering drink refills and promptly clearing plates.

Our stay at the Hilton was nothing short of extraordinary! As Hilton Honors members, we were granted early check-in and a late checkout, ensuring a seamless experience. The upgrade to a junior suite overlooking the canal was a luxurious surprise. To top it off, they went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday with champagne, a delectable cake, and fresh flowers, creating unforgettable memories. Impeccable service and thoughtful gestures made our stay truly exceptional.

Exceptional customer service provided by Morgan! Upon learning that it was my partner's birthday, she discreetly delighted him with a birthday cake following our breakfast at the lounge. This surprise was separate from the birthday amenity the hotel had arranged upon our arrival. It truly reflects the hotel's 5-star hospitality spirit.

An old but very nice hotel. Very close to the museum district. You can reach the moco museum and van gogh museum by walking in 15 minutes from this hotel. The location is really good. I explored the whole city on foot. The bed was very comfortable. The room is very spacious. I was very pleased. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great stay here where John Lennon and Yoko Uno had their famous in bed protest!

Outstanding one-week stay (late April ‘24) at this lovely and spacious hotel in an upscale neighborhood on the south side of Amsterdam (Oud Zuid). Wonderful local bakeries, shops and dining (Van Dam Brasserie!) and just a 10 min walk to the Tram which runs very regularly. Peaceful, away from the wildness of downtown Amsterdam. 20 min walk from hotel to the art museums (don’t miss van Gogh Museum) or 2 min tram ride. Highly recommended hotel.

As Diamond members, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, who graciously upgraded us to a suite before our arrival.

Arriving at 11 am after an exhausting 11-hour flight from Houston, we were relieved to learn that early check-in was not only possible but encouraged. The staff even directed us to the executive lounge for refreshments, and informed us about the $100 credit available to us as American Express guests, usable anywhere in the hotel.

Our quest for an extensive tour of Amsterdam led us to Niko, the exceptional concierge. His expertise was immediately apparent as he effortlessly suggested several tour options tailored to our preferences. Within moments, our bookings were made, and tickets printed—all while Niko seamlessly arranged our public transportation passes for hassle-free travel during our stay.

Niko's wealth of knowledge extended beyond tourist attractions; he possessed a deep understanding of the local area, the hotel amenities, and anticipated our needs before we even articulated them. His dedication to ensuring our experience was nothing short of exceptional was evident in every interaction.

Despite our thorough exploration of the hotel's offerings, one mystery remained unsolved—the enchanting scent that permeated the lobby and public areas. Despite our inquiries with the front desk and Niko himself, its identity remained elusive. We're eager to recreate this unforgettable aroma at home and would appreciate any assistance in identifying and obtaining it.

Service: 10/10, very friendly and attentive staff, let me check in immediately at my arrival, it was before 10 am. (as a Diamond member)

Room: modern and clean room with powerful shower, probably not light sleeper friendly, but I was totally fine.

Location: about 15min walk into the center of town/museums and easy to access bus/Uber

Breakfast: good spread for breakfast, very attentive service

Lounge: limited selection of food and drinks

Overall defiantly recommend to stay at here!
