Van Rossum bookstore

The loveliest bookstore in town. Staff is something else, very accommodating and just all round great people - with good book recommendations too! Van Rossum holds a special place in my heart not only because of the ambience, but I also met my husband there :) definitely recommend to check it out!

So amazing, wonderful section of English books. Very friendly owner, wonderful atmosphere. Very large selection of Dutch cooks. I really like the wood, it’s well lit, a wonderful day to spend an afternoon finding your next wonderful read. Highly recommend.

Very nice bookshop! We bought there a book for our little son with music of Vivaldi. He loves it. This was a smashing proposal of the woman who owns the shop!

One of my favorite independent bookstores in the world! Beth Johnson and her team are outstanding booksellers, I visit whenever I am on Amsterdam...and the children's section is amazing!

Such knowledgable staff. The woman in the children's section shared many perfect titles, and ways each title can be applied to expand curriculum. A great resource.

Beautiful bookstore with good selection of Dutch books, they can also order for you. English readers are suggested to go elsewhere as their selection is rather limited!

Absolutely love the wide selection of high level and interesting literature here. Also they host many events such as book readings by authors and my favorite - the Writers Studio workshop is based here!
