Jeroen and Janine run this establishment of the highest quality. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and professional. Their execution on food is masterfully done and you can always expect a nice surprise twist to the flavor of a dish vs what you might expect just based on description. This flare is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. It doesn't end there however. The dishes are always a sight to behold (see photos) and I always look forward in particular to the amuses and dessert. The wine selection is solid and paired well with the menu too. Environmentally the place is quiet and has an intimate feeling, which I far prefer to the 'dining hall' scale that some other restaurants aim for. Lastly, make sure you get the cheese.

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a passion for excellent restaurants! The detail in the presentation was exquisite, the taste was on par for any Michelin rated restaurant, and you can't beat the value! Half the price of any coursed meal you will get in Paris or San Francisco. Chef Jeroen only used the freshest ingredients. I will dream about this meal until I can return again! The location is ideal as well! Don't hesitate to book your seat!

Was recommended de Zeeuw through a friend of a friend and was told "go fast, getting a table will become crazier once they get their Michelin star." Intrigued, we went this Wednesday and we've already booked our next visit... So you could say it was good 😉
The menu had nice variety, we did "Table Zero" and got to watch every dish be carefully prepared. My favorites were the pumpkin bite to start, the sea bass with nori, and Janine's wine/drink pairing rounded out the wonderful experience.
Can't wait to return for a Sunday Session!

Ticked every box. Amazing small restaurant run by husband and wife. Ambiance, service and food all top notch and you can feel the love and passion in every element. Highly recommended and will definitely be back!

Great little restaurant. Excellent food, great service and in a really nice and cozy atmosphere. Worthy of a Michelin star! Had a really romantic dinner with my wife. We save money for these kind of extravagant dinners and it was worth every penny.

Jeroen, Janine and their staff are true experts in hospitality. Everything is always just right. The service, the atmosphere, the food. You feel so welcome and well taken care of here.

When it comes to the food, I've never once been disappointed or even neutral about a dish. It's always spot on. Jeroen really knows how to build a menu so that it flows. The courses compliment each other beautifully. There is always a surprise, always something new.

Another thing we always praise is Janine's pairings. Her wine choices are excellent. Of course! And if you visit more often, she will remember what you like. But her alcohol free choices are also excellent! It is such a joy to be able to both have a drinks pairing, even if one of you doesn't drink (much). And don't think you'll be getting some boring plain fruit juice or a second choice drink. No, there is just as much attention to detail and care given to the alcohol free options as there is to the wines.

This restaurant and it's staff is special to us and they've always gone the extra mile. I should have thought to leave a review ages ago. Cannot wait until there is another occasion to visit.

This small cozy restaurant always overdelivers when it comes to the quality of the food. Great dishes with fantastic wine pairing and a really intimate setting. Food is always fresh. I am already looking forward to the next time I can experience this place again.

Outstanding restaurant. Together with Olivijn & ratatouille probably the best fine dining choice in Haarlem. No nonsense setting, but dishes coming out of the kitchen easily compare with 1 or 2 star michelin places. Price level for quality is pretty awesome, especially if you subscribe to their email letter and take the deals that come by every now and then. Still have sweet memories to the dish I had years ago with this crazy original hollandaise sauce with orange flavour:)

We are locals, we live around the corner. De Zeeuw is one of the best restaurants we've ever been to in terms of food quality, service, and overall ambiance. The owners are also very lovely. This place is really a gem!

Third time at De Zeeuw and it just gets better every time.

A small but perfectly laid out restaurant where you have enough privacy to talk freely with your companions without being a burden to other customers.

The food is exquisite with superb dishes made from the best local seasonal produce. This is something other restaurants could learn from. Each dish was a delight and a sensation on the taste buds. The chef Jeroen also took time to come over and explain some of the dishes which delighted my fellow guests who had travelled from Scotland.

The staff are very pleasant and efficient without being obtrusive which is a huge plus in enjoying a night out.

In De Zeeuw you are able to relax and enjoy your evening. Too many restaurants nowadays you feel constrained to a certain time slot before the next guest arrives. At De Zeeuw you are free to enjoy the food and the company of your fellow guests without the feeling of just being seen as a source of money.

If you are looking for a special night out in Haarlem where the food is sensational and you are made to feel extremely welcome then De Zeeuw is the place for you.

Easily one of Haarlem’s most inspired restaurants.

Absolutely divine. Had the most heavenly degustation menu at De Zeeuw and every single dish was to die for. Presentation on point, flavours unlike anything I had ever tried before and the matching wines were a fantastic combination. Chef Jeroen really knows what he’s doing and his staff couldn’t be nicer. We had such a wonderful evening. Will be back!

Amazing place! Went there for a fancy lunch and it was like being in France while staying in the Netherlands :) very tasty, very calming atmosphere. Besides regular wines you can also find there alcohol-free ones, which I really appreciate!

We had a great dinner at De Zeeuw in its second week, fresh open and fresh with ideas and inspiration! It's a small restaurant with a likewise vibe: Good, delicious even, food but nothing too pretentious, a really open atmosphere. Good and interesting wine pairings and great dishes. Would definitely consider going back again. This is definitely a place that I appreciate for Haarlem!
