Great coffee. Perfect menu for sweet tooths; only one savoury breakfastoption, so I only had a coffee and went back another day for afternoon pastry. Very good almond cake.
Also great for take-away coffee & walk in the sarphati park afterwards

Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. Very kind staff and quick to be seated despite many people coming to this cozy cafe. Very nice experience to sit at the bar and observe the baking process.

Finally had a chance to try their coffee and cinnamon bun. Both were very tasty. The staff were very sweet and kind. Overall a nice experience.

A visit at the Scandinavian Embassy is meanwhile a regular ritual for me. Every month I am traveling to Amsterdam to get my monthly dose of great service and delicious Scandinavian pastries.

The location is super cozy, the service incredible nice and competent. I love the taste of the house coffee from a danish roaster. From time to time buying new beans here.

My favorite are the cinnamon buns and can only recommend it! I am getting hungry while I am writing this review so I think I should plan a visit upcoming weekend… ;)

Such a cute little café! Went here on Christmas Eve and got Christmas in a nutshell for our tastebuds - mulled apple juice lulling you in a warm hug combined with the most delicious cinnamon buns outside Scandinavia (and I am really picky about good cinnamon buns because they do reflect pure happiness for me). We also had a cardamom bun being extremely nice! The staff is incredibly friendly and the ambience very calmly Scandinavian (maybe only some decorations on the wall would be nice!) - we loved it here and would come back anytime. P.S. if you have struggle finding it, just follow the godly smell of cinnamon which gives you the greatest hygge vibes :)

Very cute place to eat delicious cinnamon bun ! They also do vegan cardamom buns on the weekend. Their coffee is really good and the staff is nice ! I also took breakfast there and the espresso butter is just super yummy. (Sorry though didn’t take the best pictures)

Nice place with super friendly staff and the best cinnamon bun! We had breakfast with a couple of friends on this cozy bakery. I had the quiche which was super tasty and my husband had the toast with salmon and poached eggs. We both had a cinnamon bun afterwards. Portions are fair and everything is very tasty and well prepared.

I went here because I heard the cinnamon buns were really good and they did not disappoint! The Australian/Kiwi server was very kind and informative. I took a cinnamon and cardamom bun back home with me to Germany and every time I opened my bag the smell of cinnamon wafted out. And they still tasted soft and fresh when I got home! The coffee was also really nice with a interesting (in a good way) aftertaste. The atmosphere was very chill and I read a book for a bit. It started to busy around 10 so I headed out but it was a great experience.

Sitting in the sun outside the shop, drinking a tasty, well rounded Cappuccino (in which both milk and espresso are perfectly brought together), served with a smile and a warm bun are just a piece of happiness. Definitely among my favorites.

Lovely place! I always go in for a cinnamon roll to go but the atmosphere in this bakery is very pleasing to sit in for a bite or lunch. The staff are very sweet and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Missing some scandinavian treats but not in the mood to go up north? Then this is the place to go! SE is so lovely you can’t help it. Cinnamon buns beat every other in the market, and spiced apple hot juice just is the season hit - any season hit, to be precise. While limited space inside, there is a small park for your take out needs; also can’t have a proper lunch so think of it as pastry place

Visited during the family trip because local people highly recommended this place to us. My experience here was very good. It’s a cozy and nice place to be and their foods were amazing. We were lucky to sit in front of the chef cooking and I saw they use only very fresh and high quality products. Coffee was fine. A bit too light and sour for my taste and I wanted it to be a bit richer. But it may be because I was so used to strong Turkish coffee after traveling in Serbia before coming to Amsterdam. Overall, great experience there and highly suggest this place.

Certainly worthy of the hype. Ordered a simple batch brew and almond cake. Kitsch space, with welcoming and hospitable people behind the bar. Love it.

Their oat cappuccino (so rich and creamy and not strong, also sweet enough on its own so no sugar is needed) and a warm cinnamon bun are a perfect breakfast for me. It’s like a warm hug on a rainy grey day:)

Scandinavian Embassy is in the heart of De Pijp. Very popular on a Sunday morning if you wanna have breakfast or brunch. Standong outside in a queu is quite normal, but worth it. The place is pet friendly, dogs are more than welcomed. :) Very simple interiour, kind staff. The famous cardamon bun is not too sweet, perfectly soft. We also had cheese cake, which was covered with home made raspberry marmalade. The dry mint leaves were a bit disappointing, but the taste compensated it. Last but not least, their cappuccino was just excellent! High-level for sure!
