My friend and I loved the houseboat. (We stayed in April.) The boat was more spacious and more comfortable than a hotel room. The main room is an open floor plan with a skylight and there is a good sized refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and Nespresso coffee maker. Table for 2. This is all we needed for our stay. There's a full size, very comfortable bed, and the couch can be made up into a bed. The bathroom has a heated floor which was wonderful on cold Spring evenings. There are steep steps into the boat so if you have mobility issues, this will be a problem.

We also had 2 days of wonderful weather so we were able to sit on the deck and have picnics. The location is wonderful and close to many attractions. There was also an outdoor market across the canal on Saturday morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Not gonna lie, I had my reservations at first because it was my first time hearing about Book a Houseboat. But I take the risk as I found the most beautiful houseboat in a great location at an affordable price on the platform. When it was time for my trip, all my fears were allayed! They would send reminder emails, it was easy to communicate with the host and get directions. The entire process was very smooth. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights in the houseboat and it was by far the best accommodation on our Europe Trip!! It was small but had all we need and we so enjoyed sitting by the window and being visited by several floating families! It was very conveniently located and I would highly recommend this houseboat!

And they really have wonderful guests: people who really want to have a unique houseboat experience. Found this gem online and I must say I was very pleased. I was pleased with the booking process, payment system and level of communication with the renters. Upon arrival it was confirmed that we had rented a great houseboat. The description was true and lived up to it's word. The location was great, the boat was perfect and afforded us the experience of enjoying Amsterdam in a true Dutch manner. We loved our time on the houseboat and will visit again! Thank you

What a great alternative to traditional hotel stays - especially in a city such as Amsterdam which is known for being a little eclectic!

The booking platform is easy to navigate with great detail about the listings, and communication with the houseboat hosts is often quick and friendly.

Found a lovely little gem of a boat about 15 minutes from the centre of town in a lively area surrounded by great shops and restaurants - would gladly book again!

We had a very enjoyable stay on this extremely comfortable houseboat.

Everything worked well and was high quality. It was warm and well furnished. The facilities were efficient and easy to work.

The atmosphere and setting were calm and attractive, and one felt very secure.

The owner was very helpful and polite.

I hope to be able to return for another enjoyable stay, and have no hesitation in recommending the boat to others. It may sound surprising to stay on a houseboat but you can be sure that the experience will be satisfactory.

It was the first time my family and myself used BookAHouseBoat for our stay at the narrowboat at London Paddington. The booking was easy, there were regular updates and reminders regarding dates and payments from the boat host and from the service, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I am sure we will be using this service again.

We used this website to book our houseboat in Amsterdam. They made the process easy and all information was as described. I was able to contact host with some questions and overall the site is easy to navigate.

This was my first time using this service and it was very easy to use and everything went smoothly! There was a large variety of house boats to choose from. We loved the one we stayed at (exactly as pictured/described on the website) and the owner was very kind.

We really enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Hans was the perfect host, giving us many suggestions on things to see and where to eat. It was beautifully appointed. The breakfast goodies was a treat. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Loved it. Best location in the city, right on the main canal, 5 minute walk to the central train station and within minutes to all the main bars and restaurants. We booked La Perla, which is a 2 level float home, modern and equipped with all the necessary furnishings one needs. Had way more space than 2 people could use, which is good to relax after walking around town. The home has a private floating patio which is amazing to watch the passing boats while drinking wine.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this place. Excellent location close to the city center and other great neighborhoods. There are markets, shops and restaurants within walking distance and a tram station a 3 minute walk away. The house itself was gorgeous and surprisingly spacious for a houseboat. Would stay again!

It was really easy making the booking and the service was very professional. I have been renting out my Riverside Studio close to Amsterdam, through BookaHouseboat since the beginning of the year and I am more than happy. The booking interface is very user friendly both for myself and my guests, and encourages good communications between host and guest. The payment system is efficient and where I've had questions or concerns, Manager Juul is quick to respond and incredibly supportive and helpful! And of course, apart from the Riverside Studio, it lists some of the most wonderful houseboat locations in Holland.

I am using Bookahouseboat over two years now and really like their personal approach. Great customer care for both guests and hosts. No call centre somewhere in India, like Airbnb has, but a direct line with their office. Friendly people who know their business. Highly recommended to use for both travelers and houseboat owners.
