Charming natural place where the nature, animals and people live together in a perfect union. Everything is slow and fluid, and you can fell the freedom and the sense of peace everywhere in this little island.
Definitely I’ll return.

Nature. quiet calm place. you ride on the plates on a bicycle and there are few people. Pheasants are screaming and rabbits are running around. Ideal for cycling. In some places you can go down to the sea.

Amazing location!
Take your time here. Go for a long hike and explore the back land and the beach. The views are amazing.
Just bring proper gear as it can be really windy and there are some thorny bushes along the way.
But this is the place to go when on Texel.
There is a camping area right at the back of the dunes. This is the best place to stay!

Stunning. Had a great week cycling through the dunes with the children on our holiday. The comprehensive network of cycle tracks makes it perfect for small children. We cannot wait to come back next summer.

Very beautiful place to stay closer to nature. There are walking paths through the dunes and those will take you to different landscapes. The wind here can be so strong and as a result it will be so cold. You don't see big trees here although it is a national park, mostly small bushes and sand dunes. But the views are amazing. Ideal for an evening walk.

The nationals park duinen van Texel is an amazing place to enjoy the nature and explore the outsides. You can rent a bike or simply walk; there are a lot of bike pads around, if you wasn’t to walk along the dunes, you park the bike and go. Specially recommended for families.

One Word WOW!

I had never heard of this area before until a local took me there. I swear we walked down this beach for hours without seeing anyone. It was almost aerie how big it was and how few people we saw. You could look in three directions and only see sand and beach. I highly recommend this beach to anyone in the area. Simply amazing.

This is a very unforgettable national park I have even seen. There are lot of sand hills and the beach with a lot of small sands. If you go on a windy day. The sands will go crazy. When we visited, the wind was crazy big and we cannot stand properly. In the forest it was better and was very beautiful.

Must go when in Texel. Landscapes are sometimes a bit surreal.
We even saw a herd of wild horses (don't bother them!).

Nice to walk here. Some parts are closed off to protect vulnerable nature.

The walk to the beach is quite a distance (almost 1.5 kms) so ensure you have water, a portable stool to sit if/when you are tired and sturdy flip flops!
