The best chicken restaurant in the world. I am still wondering how they made the chicken breast so tasty!!! In other restaurants, breast/chicken meat can be very tasteless, but Pollo is different.

Not only that, they also put a lot of effort into the food presentation. All of the foods look so pretty and delicious, and of course, they all are tasty! The owner and the staff are very friendly. We are delighted about everything.

If you are in Texel and currently looking for a restaurant to eat, feel free to walking into Pollo. I totally recommend it! 💖🫶🏼

Pollo De Koog a restaurant specialized in chicken cuisine in the island of Texel. We have tried Pollo's fried chicken, Pollo's huiskruiden, Thaise gele (yellow) curry, Pimientos de Pardon, Pollo's kip burger with Texel beer. Everything was super lekker. The tastiest chicken we have ate in the entire Netherlands. If you are in Texel you must eat here. Without eating at Pollo's Texel visit will be incomplete. Staff is very polite, friendly and supper helpful. Our score is 10 out 10 and 5 stars. Will come again. Thanks Team Pollo for lekker food and your hospitality.
We have visited again after few months on our trip to texel and food was phenomenally lekker (tasty). Chicken PriPri is an excellent and spicy feast to be tried by all Chicken lovers. If you are in Texel Island you must dine there. This the place of taste you don't want to miss. 100% satisfying dining experience. Good job Team Pollo we will visit you again whenever we visit Texel.

Just lovely
When visiting Texel with my family I was looking for a few nice restaurants to eat. The options on Texel may be plenty in numbers but not necessarily in variety. That’s why, when we found a place dedicated to chicken, we decided we have to give it a try.

First of all, the place is really nice and cosy. We were greeted by a friendly waiter and ordered quickly. We had half a chicken - eastern style, a couple of chicken burgers and a chicken saté. On the side we had some fries and coleslaw. Everything was truly delicious. The chicken used for the sate was super tender, the burgers were great and the eastern style chicken a big success. Even the fries were beautifully spiced. We ended the meal with some delicious crème brûlée.

A must try for those visiting De Koog in Texel.

THE BEST RESTAURANT ON THE ISLAND!!

From the range of the chicken menu to the freshness of the tap beer, this place has it all. We shared the chicken with ras el hanout, honey and pistachio and it was perfect. Matched with the vegetable dish and some kip bitterballen and corn to start, it was the perfect dinner. Bart treated us incredibly and it was almost like leaving home when we had to walk out that door. Thank you so much for your work guys! Your efforts are appreciated greatly

Can there be a better place to enjoy a chicken and beer on this island? May be not.

Exactly what you might expect from the name - really good chicken (but they have other dishes as well). Might get busy in the evening.

The food here is amazing, I definitely recommend the Piri Piri chicken! People are really friendly and caring about their customers. The interior is also quite stylish and shows good taste. Prices were maybe a tad exaggerated but overall that wouldn't stop me from coming again!

The chicken is truly delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is very cozy.
I found the fries a bit heavy on the seasoning (but maybe that's just me). The rest of the food was amazing!

Will definitely be back next time we're in Texel.

Came here for dinner and it did not disappoint - service is friendly and the food is fantastic. I had expected great things with their chicken since that’s what they’re known for (and they indeed delivered), but even the side salad was excellent (filled with greens, radishes, edamame beans, half a boiled egg, and more). I think you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Once you have been to Pollo De Koog, you will never eat chicken anywhere else. All their chickens are good. However, I would highly recommend the Piri Piri chicken with some locally brewed beers. We will definitely come back.

The food was great, the service - attentive and fun, everything really fit well together in this place. We were a group of 6 and very much enjoyed our food, drinks and in general our time there. Quality of food is quite good and the prices are reasonable

Nice little place for dining chicken. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. The interior is modern, but still comfy and a bit quirky. The food is great.

Absolutely delicious! The attention to detail lifts a "simple" dish like roasted chicken to culinary perfection. I tried the eastern flavored, with Moroccan herbs, honey and pistachios. My companion took the regular. Tender, juicy and tasty meat was accompanied with delicious side dishes. Not just some lettuce, oh no. A rich mixed salad. The potatoes and fries (we ordered both) were sourced locally and prepared with respect for the superior taste of the product. Bar is clean, nice to sit and everyone is very friendly. I would give 6 stars if I could!

Taste, service, price and sizing all 10/10. Delicious! The atmosphere inside is cool too, funny and tasteful interior.

We had to leave for the observatory in the middle of our service and the staff was really understanding and nice, helped us out, held our table until we got back and made sure our food was ready. Extremely positive experience! Food was organic and tasty, interesting menu, a lot of good choices you can make :) Overall experience 5/5!!!

Tasty chicken and good quality food. What made this place special is the staff / owner. I never have seen so much enthusiasm and amazing customer service before, probably the best service in the whole country!

The best, juiciest chicken I have ever had! The sauce that came with the fries was incredibly refreshing and complementary to the rest of the meal. Super cool owner and staff.

Amaising place! All details are perfect! All the products are from Texel local producers. We plan another vacation just to try all the menu 😀 Only burgers are not good.
