I went to the Rolling Stones exhibit. It was so impressive! Three floors with all their own clothes and instruments. You could even come backstage. Charlie's Drum Kit that he played at the Kurhaus! The show that lasted a few minutes. Everything is there. It was like standing in the front row!

Nice museum close to the station of Groningen. It had some nice exhibitions and was very quiet, so you could really take it all in. Would definitely recommend as a must see when visiting Groningen.

Visited for the Versace exhibition, which was definitely worth it, with combination of stories and collections and it’s really impressive and complete experience.
The museum itself nice paintings, and combination of modern and classic art.

It is recommended of you are in Groningen. Easily accessible by train, as it’s just across the train station.
Ticket is just €15 p.p. and free if you have Museum cards.

We visited the Unzipped exhibition about The Rolling Stones. We were impressed by the many artefacts on display ranging from clothing and guitars to tapes and concert posters. A must visit for any music and Stones fan.

Groningen is a well planned symmetric designed housing area in Netherlands with a touch of Nature and back waters... My favourite place was Reitdiephaven where the colourful homes with road on front and backwater behind the identical houses.. You have to catch bus No. 1 from Groningen raikway station to reach P+R Reirdiep.... ❤

Visited the museum because of the exhibition of Gianni Versace Retrospective. It’s a must visit for all fashion lovers. Totally worth the 5 hours driving.

It’s a beautiful museum itself, the architecture design is amazing both inside and outside.

Wrt the Gianni Versace Retrospective exhibition, not only are the clothes very expressive, all the mannequins are also exquisite. A true visual feast.
Lovely to “walk through” his work so close-up in respective timeline.

Pop stars, Pop culture, and Pop Art are three important aspects in Gianni Versace's work, and you can feel that across the exhibition. Subcultures that inspired his designs are well explained and demonstrated.

Amazing to see some of his most iconic pieces and designs of all time so close up.

The museum is very accessible by public transport, it’s just outside of the train station. Or by car, you can’t park on the street of the museum, as it only allowed for one hour. But there are many close by parkings available. If you have museum cards, you only need to pay €5.- to enter. Children can enter for free.

Highly recommend if you plan a day to visit the north of the Netherlands. It’s right in the center, so you can also enjoy the city of Groningen.

Dope museum, until end of month free entry because of renovation. From july on, the whole exhibition space is open again. Groningen had a vibrant art school in the beginning of the 20th century. Also the building itself is pretty cool, I have to say

The building itself is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. The inside design is just amazing, poppy, relevant.
There are many different exhibitions... some are super interesting sone less, but it's a matter of taste so you'll find something interesting for you, for sure!

I went to visit the exhibition of Gianni Versace. It was really well curated. It was a travel back to the 80s and 90s through his designs in dresses, scarfs, shirts and other objects. Also a travel back in time through videos and pictures of him and his models.

Worth a visit, especially on rainy day. Diverse exposition from 17th century paintings to modern art. Museum has this funky 80-90s vibe, which is unique

A very nice, informative museum about Groningen city. There were multiple exhibitions, art displays and I really liked the information on slavery history. It needs to be acknowledged more so people are aware.

Groningen is a vibrant, young, very cool, university city. Easy to get around. Cycling lanes everywhere, (actually a bit dangerous as they cycle like lunatics!! ). Great choice of restaurants, café bars, shops, etc.
Forum is a fantastic cultural space not to be missed.
Groningen will not dissappoint you!!

Where modern coexists with tradition, not in another room but just next to it. The art lives by comparison and that is what this unusual museum successfully does. Fun and knowledge for adults and children as well.

We went here for the Groningen Museum Night and I absolutely loved it. There’s some cool exhibits and things like a silent Disko that might when we came downstairs. If you don’t understand Dutch you might miss out on some of the text but definitely worth a trip!

GEWELDIG!!!!
We visited the museum today when the kinderbiënnale exhibition was still on display. The artworks are amazing. They’re so creative, colorful, and enjoyable and made by many artists from all around the world. For example, I saw an artwork called Memories of Fireflies made by Eko Nugroho, an Indonesian artist. In addition, there are some interactive works that make the visit more worthwhile. The kids visitors surely love them.
