Lovely spot and as is small you get to wait at the bar (I presume they're one) across the road. Tiny place which lends to the atmosphere.
Unfortunately it doesn't have a vegetarian menu. I got an amazing salad and the baked potatoes can not be missed!! But for the veggie it just lacks in the protein dept.

Been here three times now and each time is as amazing as the last.
The staff are all awesome, really funny and hospitable.
The whole dining experience itself is great, I love going over the road to the bar before getting called back in once the table is ready. I've waited around 20-30 mins each time for a table and it is 100% worth the wait.
The food is just to die for. The lamb shoulder, ribs and French onion soup are phenomenal. If you like lamb, you need to try it from here, literally the best I've ever had.

Atmosphere is also so good , like small local restaurant. I prefer to make reservation but in any case if there will be available place inside they will take your number and host you opposite bar and when available place occur they come and call you :)

(Bonus : The bar is also good choice to drink smt )

My favorite rib place in town. Great atmosphere and cold beer. You will not go wrong eating here or just stopping by for a pint.

Best ribs in town? probably. Classic old school Dutch bar. the food is great. Would recommend the Lamb Shoulder.

What a place! If you like meat then this has to be top of the list.

We were lucky enough to get a seat, first a not so great one but as people left the bar man kindly moved us to the window seat without any prompt which was more comfortable although the view was only onto the street but hey!

The food we had was fantastic and really hit the spot, make sure you go hungry! You certainly won't leave hungry.

Best spare ribs I ever had! It was a recommendation from someone who is living an Amsterdam and it was so true and delicious! I would visit Amsterdam just to eat again those spare ribs and potato and salad.

Cafe De Klos offers great drinks, a good assortment of beer, and the best ribs, steak and baked potato I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is worth the price of admission. Great serving staff. My friends and I had so much fun here.

I got some special attention from the owner/manager that made my Old Fadhion cocktail with a special touch. I wish I knew his name so I could give him a shout out! “I miss you already!”❣ I’m ready to go back to Amsterdam just to go to Cafe de Klos!

Stumbled on this by chance. I am not a great meat lover but the ribs are excellent. The meat falls off the bone and is beautifully tender. You could smell how good the food was as soon as you opened the door. Did sense a little pressure for the table back though.

It was really really tasty, fast, staff were all really friendly and were creating a good atmosphere. There are no bookings and I think it’s normally really busy, but we were lucky and got in right away.

This restaurant is fantastic! I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend in 2019. I've been coming back ever since. The smoked ribs are the best I've had. Great food, great beer, great ambience and terrific service. One of my favorites anywhere in the world. Amazing!

Place gets packed by 5pm. There’s only 3 tables for groups bigger than 6. Other than that, it’s counter seats around the bar or facing the windows. The normal portion of ribs is already quite huge. The lamb loins is also quite a huge portion. Best to order different items and share. Try the lamb shoulder! It’s very juicy and tender.

This place blew me away. My friend had told me about it so I figured I'd check it out. We got there around 5 and it was already packed! We were told we could wait 1.5-2 hours for a table which might seem like a long time but they have a cafe across the street you can sit at and order drinks while you wait. Realistically we got a table maybe 45 min into our wait. We ordered the french onion soup, the escargot and the ribs. Why was this the best meal of my life? I am honestly not even over exaggerating. Even the escargot was devine. Trust me on the ribs. Just do it. Seriously. The wait is worth it.
I took one star off because I think reservations should be possible.

Be prepared for a long wait, we waited over an hour and got a little angsty… sat down and ordered 2 ribs each, best ribs we’ve ever had… not Texas good but Dutch good? They had different sauces (not BBQ) and the salad that came with the ribs was SO DELICIOUS! The onions and crunch helped cut the meat sweats. The service was great, “Kim” the host was honest (about the wait times) and funny. Baked potato was also yummy. A lot of food! Well worth the wait!!!!

Amazing fall off the bone ribs served hot and fresh by an awesome staff! Great casual decor in an unpretentious cosy atmosphere. A really nice fun place to unwind and enjoy some fantastic ribs and beer! Proost!

Known as the place with the best ribs in town! The servings are HUGE. We ordered a mixed platter of 2 smoked ribs and 2 spare ribs and were so full. Most people orders 1 portion to themselves and could only finish half of it. 😂

While the ribs are the star of the show, the baked potato with herbed butter was a lovely surprise and we couldn’t stop eating it. Definitely highly recommended!

What I also loved about this place is that it serves its own special beer on tap that can’t be found anywhere else 🍺 - and they come with very interesting names and backgrounds too!
