Amazing place. Great and super delicious food, well paired with great wine to bring out the flavor of the food. Service was fast, very polite and knowledgeable about the food and wine. And it is quite affordable. A must try in Rotterdam

Fine dining but with the twist that you can order any from the different courses (starter/intermediate/main), but each dish is of the same portion size. Inventive dishes, perfectly executed, we loved each of them. We had 3 courses each and shared a dessert, with pairing wines of half a glass each per course. The service was excellent, friendly and so informative. Worth every euro!

Fantastic restaurant! The staff is very friendly and with a great courtesy customer driven. The food is also gorgeous.
Served in small portions, dishes are not priced. You can either choose between a three, four or five course menu for a fixed price, and pick whatever you like from their list.
The dishes are nice and well presented.
The wine list is also wide with a lot of options.
Obviously the restaurant is not cheap, but this is normal when you decide to pick a place that offers such great service

To cut it short, my NPS' score is 10/10.
Simple menu, high quality food, well prepared and caring staff, great value for money.
First and foremost, all waiters are well prepared on any little detail of the dishes, also very kind and caring. Special note for the sommelier, she has an extensive knowledge of the wine and spirits' world, impressively aware of how to pair wines and food. She even served a special icy and spicy limoncello which was not on the list, but that she'd made herself. Simply delicious.
The chef is a real thing himself too. Polite, creative, he designed a quite simple menu, no fuss around, but it is a pleasure for both mouth and eyes. In my experience I have tried raw salmon on fresh veggies, scallops on creamy chocolate sauce, crispy duck fillet and revised tiramisu.
He even greeted me at the end of the dinner, sharing few nice words on the Italian cousine.
The menu formula is impressively easy. Fixed prices according to number of dishes (3 to 6), that you can pair with a selection of different glasses of wines (3 to 6), choosing between full or half glasses. Btw, You can also decide to choose your own bottle.
I have traveled a lot, I am italian and I currently live in Milan, so I do know what to compare Kwiezien with.
77€ for 4 courses, 3 half glasses of carefully selected wines plus a welcoming prosecco, coffee and limoncello. Some restaurants I know would charge at least double that.
So this place is a no brain for food lovers who like new tastes, great wine, right portions and a kind touch.

Absolutely superb restaurant! Food was superb. We left it up to the chef to choose what to serve including wines. He didn't miss a beat. Service was top notch. The lady serving us knew every dish and wine she served us in detail and the reason of the combination. Definitely an eatery to visit when in Rotterdam!

We were seated at the chefs table and had the best time. Fun staff and great food! Bought a bottle of their homemade limoncello to bring home. Overall a wonderful experience!

The food was amazing. All the aromas, flavors and textures were delicately put together for an amazing experience on each bite.
The wine pairing was on point, with extensive description on which wine and why it was chosen for that specific dish.
Nothing was left as a random choice.

The blue cheese bitterballen with red wine mustard was an incredibly tasty and delicate homage to a classic Dutch pub snack.

Definitely coming again for the chefs table.

Underrated restaurant in a very nice suburb of Rotterdam (Katendrecht). Great & friendly service and delicious food. Wines are especially well combined with every course. Well worth a repeat visit.

Recently payed a repeat visit. Enjoyed the food as much as the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the wine selection accompanying the food. Especially enjoyed the service which was friendly and helpful/insightful.

Third visit and they still keep amazing me with the level of detail that goes into every course.

Excellent restaurant. Good and innovative cooking, fair price for the quality (they recently got a Bib Gourmand). They have a "half glass" or "full glass" wine arrangement, serving specially matched wines with every course. And they really went out of their way to find these, they are not your ordinary wines. The staff is friendly, matching their interaction to the customer. We had the good fortune of nice weather, sitting on the terrace on the Deliplein. There are more good restaurants there.

One word to describe this lovely place: AWESOME !! If you're up for some fine dining, this is the restaurant for you! The kitchen will prepare selected foods, wonderfully seasoned and arranged just like a Symphony and the service was the best and most sympathik and caring service I had in a long time. Accompanied by a huge selection of international wines, you only have to enjoy the stay. Thank you very much for one perfect evening.

Good wine list great food and excellent staff

Excellent food in one of the trendiest neighborhoods of Rotterdam. Kwiezien serves small dishes that cost 9.50 EUR each, and you can either go for one of the set menus or compose your own. It was not easy to compose my own menu - everything sounds, and is, delicious!

Fantastic cozy restaurant next to the harbor of Rotterdam. Very friendly staff explaining every meal and every wine you would like to taste. Highly recommend it, book ahead!

One of the best dinner I've ever had. That was because of the service , the atmosphere and the super delicious food. Everything was just perfect, also the bill at the end ;)
