The staff here are beyond amazing! My mom was fresh out of broken hip surgery coming to the hotel and the staff was so kind and accommodating to her limited mobility and needs. Tess was extra helpful, offering to bring up a shower chair and toilet seat raiser, as well as making sure there was a wheelchair available if her walker was too difficult. Absolutely above and beyond service. The room was beautiful, the food at the restaurant was delicious. I have nothing but the highest of praises for this hotel and its amazing staff!

A wonderful bar, a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful hotel. I loved every minute of my stay here. Lovingly restored old building with a unique vibe. Luxury room was perfect. Good shower with hand held and rain shower, nice big bathroom vanity (for all my travel bags of stuff). 5 stars.

Beautiful location. We got a free upgrade to a Maas deluxe room. The view is really worth that side of the hotel. Good staff, good restaurant and great breakfast.

Was with my Patents and Brother there for dinner everything was excellent from the Food to the Ambiente and to the waiters. Especially Nathan Baars who served us the entire evening with very good attention!! Hardly recommend to anyone who is in Rotterdam.

The hotel has great character and we loved our recent stay here. The room was spectacular, comfortable and quiet.

WhatsApp system for making requests worked really well and the bar/restaurant area has great ambience.

The food at breakfast and dinner wasn’t amazing but it was good enough and ok value for money.

We would highly recommend staying here.

The restaurant (lunch and dinner) is one of my fav place in the world. It's vibrant and cosy at the same time. Great service and excellent fresh food. Starting with some of those delicious oysters from the bar is always the best idea ! Ask for a window table to enjoy the view on the river and the boats.

The tower room is quirky and worth the extra price. Although the bedroom is quite small, it does not feel like it because of the views. Beautiful massive bathroom with 2 walk-in showers and a large bath. The tower upstairs has 4 small balkonies but only two chairs and a small side table. A top choice for a romantic gateway, perhaps too small for a party. The quirky old hotel, with the restaurant, basement bar, old-fashioned barbers is worth the visit alone.

This hotel could not have been a better place to stay during our trip to Rotterdam. The hotel is beautiful. From the interior, to the exterior, to the views on the water, it was truly a breathtaking hotel. The location was key: a food court was nearby, a smaller Albert Hein was nearby, and the hotel was at the end of a pier, just a brief walk to the Wilhelminaplein tram station. Or, we could walk outside the hotel and take a few steps to the water taxi (reserved in advance). Our room was incredibly cozy and clean, and had all of the amenities. The bed was insanely comfy and large! We can't wait to come back and stay again.

Very nicely decorated hotel. The room was clean, cosy, and spacious. There are very good restaurants nearby. The only disadvantage is its location: the parking lot in front of the hotel is very expensive and the metro is a bit far

Although it was quite busy, the young staff was very friendly. The lunch was also server within reasonable time. The building and its' surroundings are reflecting Rotterdam's indentity.

Great location and ambience. The scenery and the service is excellent. I ordered the tuna and it was cooked to perfection. Oysters were fresh and a great starter. Definitely worth the trip here. Would recommend booking a reservation though as it can get quite busy.

Location is right at cruise ship pier. Very historic and charming. Excellent dining.

Very nice place full of history, we loved it, it’s perfectly placed. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is very quiet.

I love Hotel New York. It is not the poshest hotel but it suits Rotterdam perfectly. Its maritime origins are evident throughout, from the décor to the water taxi stop outside its doors. The food is good and the staff friendly.

I just came to eat lunch there. The service is so friendly. The seafood is tasty. The price is good value.

The Hotel New York Basement area is a very cosy spot underneath the main restaurant, with a separate entrance on the side(s) of the building. With great food, and during Christmas (which is when I had lunch there) they had a very pleasant band which made the experience all the better. A definite "would do again"!

A cosy must stay in Rotterdam. Great service and atmosphere. What impressed me is how well was refurbished. I learned that this building was one of the fewest standing still after world war II when everything around was knocked down. I stay in the hotel during a conference. Rooms are spacious and each of them has own historical touch with some old items. Lighting in the rooms is giving a cosy atmosphere. Restaurant has fast service with great food selection. Atmosphere is great. I strongly recommend it.
