Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station, an IHG Hotel

I have read abt not so good review and I had to write this to give my experience. I would say my experience was great overall.
Room is good size, I have got the room facing city, mid floor. Though it’s within walking distance from Rotterdam central station, I find that it’s still quiet. Location is great!
Breakfast was with acceptable selection.
One appreciation note - I arrived ahead of checkin time and hotel/staff is nice enough to offer stroopwafel with coffee (perhaps due to IHG membership). Upon completion of the local Netherlands taste, the room was ready for checkin. Staffs were attentive and warm.
One thing to note - hotel room is not equipped with USB port for charging. Guest would need to bring your own power plug.
Overall my experience was great.

Close to central station and central block. A good place to stay when traveling to Rotterdam. The receptionists are kind and helpful. It also provides breakfast, not too many choices but enough to eat.

Room was very mordern and clean. Super helpful and nice statfs. Very good value for the money you spent on 4 stars misleading hotel

One of the best Holiday Inn Express Locations I've Been To

The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate, modern, and well appointed. The free breakfast offered plenty of choices. And the hotel was a block from the major train station, and the hotel's location is central to all parts of Rotterdam. One of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels I've been to, and this hotel proves why I'm so loyal to this brand.

Rotterdam is a city with its own style. It's got tall buildings and wide roads that go on forever, making it an amazing place for city lovers.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Rotterdam, Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam Central Station is top-notch. It's super close to the train station, so you can easily explore the city. And there's a tram stop right outside, so you can get around quickly.

The rooms at this hotel are really nice, with comfy beds and walls so thick you can't hear outside noise. Plus, they've got everything you need to relax, like a kettle for tea, a TV, and WiFi.

And talk about breakfast. This hotel knows how to do breakfast well. Lots of delicious options waiting for you. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, they've got you covered.

But what really makes this hotel special is the friendly staff. Everyone we met was nice and helpful, especially Judith. She always had a smile on her face and made our mornings better. We hope she gets to go to Bali soon.

Without a doubt, our stay at Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam Central Station was amazing.

Honestly, this hotel has the features to give it a really high rating. Great location, good rooms (maybe a tad small) but I booked a quite basic one. The staff is well prepared and helpfull. I arrived at a busy time so I did wait around 6 or 7 minutes, but that's very expectable around 18:00 in a hotel. Parking was good too.

The breakfast was a bit different, I had to pick a time slot but my preferred one was not available. They gave me a bag that I could fill at the breakfast buffet. I got what I wanted for breakfast but a little different. All good

Stayed here for 2 nights. The reception staff and General manager made me feel welcomed. After coming off a flight from the US at 9am they allowed me early-check in (subject to availability of course).

The Location is great, only about 2-3 blocks from Central Station and an easy walk. You're right outside a tram station as well, to get around Rotterdam. I would just walk to most of the places nearby as nothing I really wanted to see was more than a 15 minute walk.

Room was simple but well appointed. It did not have a mini-fridge or iron. Usually these Express hotels are for business travelers who might need to iron a shirt. The Air condition worked well although you could open the window if needed.

Breakfast had plenty of seating. The spread was simple and standard for a continental breakfast in Europe. It had sliced deli meats, 2 cheeses, croissants and toast, a couple of cereals, and warm hard boiled eggs. I really wish they had a better hot section instead of warmed eggs I'm happy. There was only 1 coffee machine and the line would get long at times.

Overall I would recommend staying here because of the location and really great value. It has public transportation nearby, and all the staff I interacted with were really amazing. They had staff speaking Dutch, English, French, and Spanish, and probably more. They had a private room to store luggage in case you wanted to explore the city before or after check-in.

Top notch service. The heaters were fantastic, I’d just come from a Hampton by Hilton in Amsterdam and the rooms were freezing. Thankfully the temperature control was marvellous.

As I frequently travel more and more, the smaller things like storage; where to pop your suitcase becomes increasingly important. The window sills hold your luggage and goods whilst the table can be left free for your laptop / other belongings.

I really appreciated that at this hotel as you can see from the pictures. And because I went when it was very cold the window sills acted as a fridge for the milk I’d purchased! And it worked well.

Breakfast: served at a very tight and congested area, not the best selection. However the yoghurt was surprisingly good.
Some beans would go a long way.
Recommendation to the hotel: give some slippers will ya!

Good customer service. Breakfast was included in the package. There was a good selection of different food, pastries, continental hams and cheeses. Great location, near lots of eateries and shops,too. Will definitely return!

We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, friendly, and a great value. Twin beds were comfortable. Shower was great. We were able to store our luggage in a locked room for later pickup after we checked out.

Location near train station, restaurants, and other attractions is very convenient. Breakfast is a little light on protein, but otherwise good quality.

Lovely clean room and hotel! Breakfast was lovely. Checked in with the Paula who was helpful polite and welcoming, she was also there in the morning very helpful and cheerful! She had very good customer service and a credit to the company.

Staff: The staff was extremely kind. I never felt mistreated, they answered all of my questions, and they were always available (even in the late evening). I really felt at home.

Breakfast: I really liked the creative idea of a "take-away breakfast", to make sure that people can eat their breakfast in their room without infecting others with Corona in the breakfast area. You simply fill out a paper with all the options and hand it in at the reception the day before and at which time you would like to pick it up downstairs. It was absolutely perfect in my opinion (as well as the fact that breakfast is *always* included in the price at this hotel, which makes the money even more worth it). The breakfast-staff was also extremely kind, especially one of the workers called Judith (shoutout to her) with an amazing and energetic personality, even at 8 a.m. in the morning.

Room: the room was very clean, very spacious and had an extremely high price-quality ratio! I did not expect this much luxury for the small price that I paid (especially compared to other hotels I've been to). The bathroom was large and well-decorated and I really liked the shower.

Location: the location could not have been more perfect. The hotel is right at the heart of Rotterdam, with very easy access to any type of public transport you might need.

I went to this hotel for the second time, and again everything was very nice. Last time was in lockdown time a year ago, the room was not cleaned then you had to order what you wanted for breakfast the day before. Now the breakfast buffet was open again, and there were not really and regulations anymore luckily. The room was clean and spacious.

First time here. Lovely personnel. Breakfast bar could do with a more efficient layout. Plates are at the back, past the bar. Tea bags etc are past the water dispenser. Otherwise, it's all good

Solid 3 star experience. Room was big enough, bed was comfy - and the bathroom was excellent, big and bright. Hot showers with almost no temperature fluctuation.

Breakfast was included, it was basic continental style buffet. Food was fresh and plentiful, & staff kept the eating area clean and tidy.

Overall service was excellent - I especially appreciated that they loaned me an adapter plug (forgot to bring my own). Pretty key to be able to charge my devices, which were not compatible with European style wall outlets!
