After spending some time in Indonesia and coming back to Europe, this place brings so many good memories as the food tastes very authentic.
The place is rather simple, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere overcompensate it.
There are several vegan and vegetarian options, so it's a good place for a diverse group.

Great size and taste and price ratio. I took "one of everything" kind of portion. Price was ~15euros. Taste was good. Spicy sauce was just perfect and I wasn't able to eat all.

Great Surinamese and Indonesian food. Had food inside and it was very tasty. Great price also for a different kind of food that I'm used to. Would definately come back.

Small cozy clean place.

You eat&go (without pressure it just common sense as place is tiny and popular) or takeaway.
Service is always quick and friendly.

Sauto (or Soto) is recommended delicious soup.

I love this place! Lived nearby for a bit, and came here at least once a week. The prices are great, the people are kind, and the food always hits the spot.

Best indonesian restaurants in amsterdam

This place is SO good. I can't even emphasize this. SO GOOD. Here's the confusing thing -- I think there's one section for take-out and one area that's a restaurant. I went to both... Yes, during my short stay in Amsterdam, I ended up eating at this place TWICE.

We first went to the take-out area the first time. We ordered the portie bakabana, which was pretty good. We played menu roulette, because we honestly didn't know what was what. I believe I ordered the nasi kuning rames one time... and some other fried rice similar to nasi lemak the other day.

Both dishes were super big with lots of different side dishes on all. Would HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone that wanted to have some Indonesian/Javanese food.

Highly recommend this place! The food is mostly under €10 which is very reasonably priced. The owner is also a very nice man. However there is no English menu but if you can speak Bahasa, the owner can recommend you some food. My recommendation is the Soto ayam, gado gado and nasi makmur :)

Food was delicious and staff was friendly. There’s an English menu if you need it. We ordered the Roti, nasi rames, and lamb satay. All of it was great!

They forgot the rice and gave me an entire new meal, very nice people. Definitely recommend this place.

Best roti I’ve had and it’s super affordable. The roti has a delicious sauce so it’s not dry at all. Also try the bak banan!

Accidentally stumbled into this place while on a walk from our B&B, noticed a crowd of confident locals come in after. Waiter helped us translate the menu - food was out of this world.

Honored to have this this at my local restaurant, went for the first time last Thursday and could not have been happier with the food and the price. All the Dutch I know locally in the Watergraafsmeer area also speak highly of it.

Very good food for a low price. Sometimes long waits but worth it. Nice interieur.

I'm not an expert in this cuisine, yet the times I went it was very tasteful. Interior and service is very basic, but the price is low.
