Sumatra Pharmacy

The customer service and helpfulness of the employees/staff here is nothing short of amazing. They genuinely go above and beyond for their customers / patients - and could not have been more helpful if they tried.
Professional, friendly and competent. STRONGLY recommended.

Will update this review soon, but after extensive research, this pharmacy has hands down the best review rating of all pharmacies in a 5km radius. It's rare to leave good reviews for something like a pharmacy. So looking forward to go here.

This review started with a misunderstanding regarding payments with cards which basically was because of his lacking language knowledge.
The originally question about this was cleared up with answer here, like the same day! (without me taking contact).

Just this describe how customer friendly the people working there are. I don't speak dutch and everyone yet speaks good english
(or if not get someone comfortable with speaking a language which I assume you are not required to speak!)
Also something I appreciate, if I ask a "out of normal" question and staff is not sure, they ask and not just answer what they believe. (some bad experiences regard to this lately in some other questions not related to Sumatra or even Netherlands at all!)

They go out of their way to help you if there are some problem with your prescription (I think I never experienced the pharmacy contact the doctor to get the right prescription if there have been some miscommunication regarding the doctor and me (not always easy in general to read a prescription and I can understand most writing in dutch due to similarity to other languages*
Sidetrack here, I make the history lessons in a footnote..

My basic point is that this is the best apotheek I ever been too. Close with another dutch pharmacy.. Had to come to Netherlands from Norway to just be treated as a person! (Most dutch companies are good on customer service, but the pharmacist is phenomenal here!
Wish you could apply in special instances like 5 in lifetime to give more than 5 stars! I would use 2 out of the 5 fantasy star to give Suamtra 7 stars!

* (Deutch (grammar/words), English and actually Notwegian (I guess it was not only deutch ships trading with Norway (probably for dried fish lol) in 1600s +-)

(Edited, was original a post regarding misunderstanding about card payment (some very different system special regarding payment on bankcards in Norway and Netherlands for some reason... 🤦‍♂🇳🇴🤡) (Facepalm over Norway clowns. I just assume their in fault)..) )

Everyone who works here is very nice. Wait times are not too bad. Only downside is that most of the employees don’t really speak English.

Ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam geholpen terwijl ik geen vaste klant ben. Medicatie die mijn eigen apotheek niet had hadden zij wel. Diverse keren telefonisch gesproken voordat alles administratief rond was. Al die tijd hebben ze hun enige 2 doosjes voor me vastgehouden. Gisteren kunnen ophalen en ook daar door 2 medewerkers vriendelijk n behulpzaam geholpen. Misschien stap ik over :)

Top apotheek. Zelfs als het druk is zijn de wachttijden kort. De werknemers zijn vriendelijk. De herhaalservice werkt ook erg goed. Al jaren tevreden.

Goede apotheek, goed bereikbaar. Snelle service en vriendelijke mensen ook.

Een pillendraaier van top niveau. Aardig en denkt met je mee. Op mijn leeftijd is dat een geweldige extra. De dames weten hun weetje en nemen hun voorlichtingstaak heel serieus en het is er nooit zo druk dat je weg wilt lopen. Als je dan toch pillen moet ben je hier aan het best denkbare adres.

Echt een hele fijne apotheek. Vriendelijk personeel, er zijn nooit wachtrijen en er is zelfs een automaat waarmee je je medicatie 's avonds of in het weekend af kunt halen.

Fast and efective.

Gezien ik bij onze eigen apotheek ronduit slechte service kreeg, overgestapt naar Sumatra. Direct goede service, juiste informatie en betrokkenheid.

Geen lange wachtrij. Heel ervaren en klantvriendelijke apothekers 👍🏼
