My favorite park in Amsterdam.
It’s a park with fountains, places for picnics, small bridges to cross the river and there are some cafes you can relax.
Ideal for a small picnic in-town and great fun place for dogs and dog walkers.
You can go for a jog along the water or pick up coffee and go for a walk.
Don’t forget to enjoy the best homemade ice-cream!
Definitely lovely little park with plenty of grass, benches, and beautiful flowers

The park is small and very cozy. It is diverse. There is a place to sit. There is a beautiful pond where there are many birds. You can walk with your dog, ride a bike. There is a small tennis court with hard ground in the park.

Really nice park east of the central part of Amsterdam. It felt a lot like Vondelpark, but smaller and more geared towards locals than for tourists. It had several different sections, including an open lawn, several sculptures, and multiple sports areas. Great place to bring a book, a picnic, or just a blanket to relax on. Also, the wild parrots were fun to see! It’s walking distance from the central part of town, but also easily accessible via public transportation and/or bike.

A beautiful park with free animals and majestic sweeping willows. Also perfect to run and exercise, plus not far from the canal.

The oosterpark is small but yet it’s one of the pretty and beautiful parks in Amsterdam for us. It’s surrounded by hotels, many restaurants and residential. It’s very nice to just sit and enjoy seeing people living their lives from dogs are running/playing, joggers, parents with kids and so on.

This an amazing place if you're an outdoor person.
You can enjoy the green grass and trees and smell the flowers.
If the weather is nice you can bring your tanning oil with you and your towel to get a nice golden tan 😉
Weekend gathering are very popular as you can see there that many people comes in groups, you can bring your friends, beer, food, snacks and also you can enjoy a nice barbecue with your family 👪
It's a great place for kids to play and explore as there's a playground for kids where they can enjoy the football field and the swings also.
Many couples go there and enjoy their wine next to the water pond and enjoy the sound of the birds.
You can jog and workout there as the roads are very helpful and there's an outdoor gym.
If you like to dance or meditate you can do so as many people likes it, no one looks or judge.
It's the perfect place to take your dogs to, they can play freely, run, jump, roll over, dogs really enjoys that park and they play with other dogs also.
If you got Hungary you can get snacks from there.
There's also a man who sells a great home made coffee, an ice cream truck.
I totally recommend going to oost park

Amazing park with hostels and hotels on the inside, amazing place to relax, exercise and spend time with friends or by yourself. Very clean, very well preserved and peaceful and a great opportunity to be in contact with nature.
Just pick some snacks and beverages and have a nice picnic by the lake!
Definitely a place worth a visit.

Oosterpark in Amsterdam is one of the many parks that you can visit for a relaxing walk, a picnic or just hang out with family or friends. The park is spacious and clean. Sit on one of the many benches or just on the grass and calm down. And all that in the middle of a large city. Drinking alcoholic beverages is not allowed!

We love the Oosterpark, one of our favourites to take walks on weekend mornings, especially when it’s not too cold. Lots of birds and water, which brings life to the place. Green fields to play with the dogs, there’s a special playground for children and also a place to exercise.

Awesome green space in the middle of Amsterdam. We used this as an end of day, blow off steam for our kids before trekking home. There’s great play areas for kids, green space to relax and chill, and walking paths with ponds to stroll around. It reflects the relaxed nature of the city of Amsterdam very well. Easily accessed by tram—this place was great.

The Oosterpark, laid out in 1891, was the first large park to be constructed by the municipality of Amsterdam. Previous parks in the city were smaller (Sarphatipark and Wertheimpark) or private initiative (Vondelpark). The English landscape style design is by the landscape architect Leonard Springer. In the park there is a meandering pond, a remnant of a windmill waterway, with a small island in it.

For the construction of the Oosterpark, the old Oosterbegraafplaats dating from 1866, which was located just behind the place where the Royal Tropical Institute is now, had to be moved. There was initially a lot of protest from relatives against this move, but eventually the new location was agreed. This became the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats, opened in 1894, which is located further on in the Watergraafsmeer.

One of my favorite parks in Amsterdam. I prefer it to Vondelpark because it’s not packed with tourists. It’s especially fun to spend a warm summer day next to the tiny lake. There are also tennis courts, a workout area and a playground for kids.

A really lovely park, great for kids! We could have spent our entire holiday in Amsterdam in this park and did go there every single day. There are two playground areas, both are good but the one with the wooden walkway area was incredible, best play area I have found anywhere!

Stumbled upon this park while going towards the Dam square and man this park is beautiful. The first thing that caught my eye was the kids playing area, it was so nicely placed and made. The lake opposite to it is a beautiful thing to watch. It's a big amazing park where people come to relax, do Yoga, learn Marshal arts, do dancing, anything and everything is possible here.
