Museum of the Mind | Outsider Art

We visited the exhibition about mental health during WW2, it was interesting and very emotional. Would totally recommend! Not crowded, calm atmosphere.

I thought this museum was a lot of fun. The works are different and very diverse, but they all have in common that they have no boundaries and no formula. The contrast with the works in the Hermitage (next door) of Dutch masters could not be bigger, but these works are very creative and pure. Honestly, I loved it.

After our fourth art museum, all the pieces were starting to blend together. This was unique, I thought we'd breeze through it having become a bit burnt out, but art done by people not in the art scene and with completely different ways of thinking and doing - it was fascinating. It is small and I'd love more info on every piece, but if you read about it, the photographer had to really work at getting the artists to open up so the lack of information is understandable. Really shouldn't be missed. It was a favorite of ours.

A small but excellent collection of outsider art. The spontaneity and freshness of these works is what sets them apart from established artists and movements. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Erg mooie tentoonstelling over obsessies. Nummers, dagboeken, letters etc.

Wir hatten Probleme die Ausstellung zu finden, sind aber nach etwas suchen fündig geworden. Der Gedanke dahinter ist sehr angenehm, mir haben die Werke gut gefallen, diese waren ziemlich außergewöhnlich .Man kommt mit dem Ticket in 2 weitere Ausstellungen rein.

Ontzettend leuke tentoonstelling! Je kijkt naar de kunst van mensen uit de psychiatrie. Ik vond het enorm interessant om de denkwijze van de mensen te doorgronden.

Confronterende tentoonstelling over hoe de mens tracht structuur aan te brengen in de chaos!

Fijn klein overzichtelijk museum. Gratis met museumkaart! Leuk voor een dagdeel bezoek. Aanrader.
