MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam Amstel

Well located hotel, near a train/metro/bus station. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can fine lockers to store your luggage for a small fee, up to 24 h. The price is reasonable for the room quality. The breakfast is tasty, with many food/drink options. I stayed in a private double room and everything was as expected from the pictures. The only bad side is the double bed. It consists of two single beds (as expected from the pictures) but they easily slide from each other in case you want to sleep as a couple.

Overall, really good place and I would recommend for a stay.

It was an amazing hostel. Felt more like a hotel. The service was immaculate and I was helped in anyway I could think of. The woman working in the reception even helped me with getting access to public transportation, and when I forgot my card in the room they helped me super fast to be able to access my room again. Safe, clean environment. Also big plus for being right next to the station which made it super accessible to get to the city!

The most important things, this hotel location near the public transportation. They also have a clean room, great view and friendly staff.

The hotel in Amsterdam exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The cleanliness was exceptional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The service was not only nice but exceptionally friendly, and the staff demonstrated a genuine willingness to assist during my entire stay. The delicious and comprehensive breakfast further added to the overall positive experience. Additionally, the hotel's strategic location near the metro made exploring the city incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay in Amsterdam.

Nice modern hotel which located near metro station. I ordered bed in 4beds woman's room in the hostel part. Everything was OK. Thank you my neighbors for quite &good experience. Breakfast /9€ was normal. Staff helped me with some situations I'm satisfied. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel combines all the features necessary for a pleasant stay: a very good location with excellent public transport connections, a good infrastructure with restaurants and grocery stores across the street, a highly qualified front desk team that solves all conceivable problems for travelers, suggests and books tours and sells public transport tickets.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the quality of the furnishings and mattresses is also outstanding. The all-you-can-eat breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the communal kitchen is so generously equipped that you can easily cook for yourself.
All in all, the Hotel Meininger Amstel can be recommended to anyone who wants to experience a great stay in Amsterdam for little money.

Stayed last month for new year's in a 4-shared room. Very nice hotel and comfortable for traveling solo. Clean sheets and towels, breakfast was good, the locker though was smaller than I expected, but I managed anyway. The hotel is right next to a bus stop and a train station (with a very convenient small food shop). Downtown in about 10 minutes and you can get to the airport by train. I would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed for a night but had a great stay! We stayed in a 4 person dorm and it was spacious & clean. Friendly staff and lots of comfortable seating in the lobby

It was good. I loved the friendly, open and clean vibes of the main floor common areas. The room wasn’t anything fancy. But it was clean and comfortable at night. I accidentally booked two beds in a shared room instead of one. I arrived within the check in times and the friendly staff was able to help me settle the extra bed without complaints. I came to Amsterdam to see a concert at AFAS LIVE and the location was perfect. In a more peaceful part of town, but right next to the Amstel train station. Made getting to the concert hall and centrum so quick and easy! As a sometimes anxious traveler, I felt quite safe during my stay

When you pay 30 euros for staying one night in Amsterdam, your expectations can be really low, cause it is a really great deal, but the hostel really surprised us.
The communication with the city center is excepcional. The staff is really friendly and helping. The rooms and the bathrooms really clean and well-equipped.
The breakfast was maybe the only thing that I would improve, but overall we had a wonderful stay and if I’m back in this city I will definitely repeat.

This hotel is located right next to the Train and Metro Station named 'Amstel', so you don't have to worry about getting there. The staff are really very friendly. Furthermore, you can have breakfast if you want to and pay for it. But if you want to prepare breakfast for yourself, you can use the available common kitchen. The grocery store named 'Jumbo' is right next to this hotel. So, you can decide what you want for breakfast and prepare by yourself. They also offer free drinking water.
This hotel is quite family friendlier as they offer a huge spacious lobby to spend quality time with your family and friends. In addition, they also have a small play station for kids.

We really had a nice stay there and we'll be visiting again. Thank you Meininger Hotel Team.

The staff was very friendly. They were very helpful with everything. The location of the hotel is already excellent. It is located next to all public transport. There were also restaurants around where you could eat and drink 24/7. Thank you so much Meininger for everything.

Really nice hostel with the add on that towels are provided (2 per person) free of charge, and get changed every day. Guest kitchen also a bonus, though could have a few more utensils. Lots of space to sit and relax in the lobby too. 1 minute walk from Amstel station, which is only a few stops away from centre of Amsterdam. McDonald's right across as well.

Stayed here with my other 50 classmates for a week, and wow! Beautiful hotel, super enviting and very cosy, rooms are big and comfortable, as well as well equiped. Love the idea of the chests under the bed, and the breakfast is amazing!

It is also right next to the metro station, Amstel, which is super conveniente if you are on holidays!

Everything was clean and there are lots of games and the workers were really helpful. What I didn't like is that in the room you don't have any privacy. Also there is no window. But it was a good and pleasant stay. Plus the McDonalds and big Jumbo market with lots of options of food is just across the street.

Overall very clean and great facility. I asked to be in the same female dorm with all my friends and they accommodated me. There is a bar, but not a lot of food options. I felt safe at this place you have your own bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Meininger Hotel Amstel during our class trip. The breakfast was great with a huge variety of food and drinks. Especially for vegan/vegetarian and gluten free people there where a lot of options.
The rooms were small but very clean. The beds were always freshly made and the towels were exchanged regularly. Sadly the rooms were quite cold as the air conditioning was nearly always on and we couldn’t turn it off. Also the flushing in the toilet was a bit too soft.
The lobby was great for hanging out with other young people and getting in touch. Only thing that wasn’t as great was the shared kitchen which was always quite packed and not as clean as we wished it to be.
All in all we were really satisfied and enjoyed our time.

Very nice rooms and breakfast. Great hostel for families. Clean and safe. Only complaint is that you have to pay to park and store luggage and it’s not cheap.

I really enjoyed my stay in MEININGER. It’s literally next to Amstel Station, so it’s very convenient to reach the city center easily by metro.
