Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre Amsterdam

Very nice hotel, room was amazing and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and professional.
The location is nothing special but is really well connected being in the middle (few minutes walk) of two metro stations
Breakfast was very good.
I will totally recommend

Quite a pleasant hotel. Nice rooms /high tech/spacious. Quiet, soundproof windows. Didn’t hear trains even though they run past hotel regularly in the morning. But not much at night. Buffet breakfast with good selection between hot and cold foods for extra charge of 19.00 euros pre-booked day before, but 21 euros if on the day you eat. There is also a city tax levied on the rooms at the time of check in of about 25% . Hotel location is in a commercial area so not really near any shops or restaurants, just other hotels and business buildings. However, it is only 20mins to Dam Square by taxi.

The hotel does offer taxi service. But the taxi drivers tend to get creative with the charges unless you have reception confirm the price TO THE DRIVER IN PERSON before setting off. We found booking the taxi this way was cheaper than booking directly with the taxi driver (s) whether via hotel on our own. Dealing with taxi drivers in Amsterdam in general required some savvy and was not a straightforward experience as a tourist!

Good safety: you can’t go anywhere in the elevator without a key card.

We ordered pizza to our room and it arrived quite quickly. + prices are the same as everywhere else.

The rooms are soundproofed!

So far, the best in the Netherlands :-) Modern interior, clean and comfortable room. Nice staff. Very good breakfast, a lot of things to choose. Parking included in the room price.

Value for money with well maintained, clean and spacious room. Easy train access to Ams Central. We had a rocky start with cold reception from front desk staff when we checked in. Do note that they do not bend rules for early check in and guest are required to pay 25eur to get the room earlier than 3pm check in time (to be fair it is stated in our booking) However we were quite shocked to be told in the face that the room is ready but we need to pay if we want it earlier. Ah well, I suppose the staff is just doing their job but would appreciate some warmth especially after travelling for over 15hrs.

As we do not require housekeeping services, we called reception for coffee sachets. Shavelli from front desk saved the day by attending to us promptly and brought us our coffee sachets within ten mins. A day earlier we also called up for coffee sachets but waited in vain and were also not told that housekeeping starts at 9am until we called again. Eventually we had to go to the housekeeper who was outside the rooms after 9am.

Anaouk and a new female staff who just started work about 2 weeks ago were friendly and helpful as well.

Yeah loved staying here even if it was only for 1 night. Best sleep I’ve had in a hotel in for ever. Bar nice too. Didn’t have dinner as it shut at 9 and lunch was a little weird with not much choice at all. But great for conference centre.

Have to say again how good the bed/sleep was. Wow.

Lovely hotel, really modern, very clean & staff were helpful too.
They also have a little shop inside which sells almost everything you’d need as we came away without a travel plug.
Hotel is cashless so always have your card with you.
Location is out of the way & there’s not much around but still very accessible, only 6 mins from the station and around 27 mins from Dam Square in trans/trains.

Rooms were spacious and high-tech. The hotel is clean and it has also a free underground parking. 750m away from metro which you can take and go to city centre directly in 20 mins.

I recommend taking breakfast at the hotel. Firstly, it is very high quality and varied. Secondly it is far from the center.

By metro 15 minutes to the center.

There is one minus, it’s a 10-minute walk to the metro stop🤷🏼‍♀

And don't forget that it rains constantly in Amsterdam, don't forget your umbrella😁

Very good place for business conferences. Big hall plus variety of smaller rooms. Evertyhing was perfectly organized. Food and drinks suitable for everyone no matter what restrictions you have to adhere to.
Metro station is close (approx. 250m).

It is an excellent hotel, a great place to be with friends, couples or for business. Access via metro easy. Apostolos at reception is a gentle and reliable person to help you. Rooms big, clean with high tech equipment, even tv in the wc, nothing is going to disappoint you! Breakfast international with plenty of choices.

Great accommodation is very upmarket, but it's cashless

Very nice hotel with staff that were very welcoming and always at hand to help with any issues/questions. Location was pretty good too, with transport links not too far off. Has a McDonald’s and a small grocery shop close by too which is very convenient. Only really issue I had was the digital tablet embedded on the wall which controls all the lights and tv. Can be quite frustrating to manage as opposed to have physical buttons/controllers

The location may seem a little daunting on a map but the Metro station is a 4min walk away and trains run every 10-15mins. Quiet area. Great room, all mod-cons, good decor. Tea/Coffee making facilities also there - 24hr pizza ordering available. A completely cashless hotel makes things a lot easier - couldn't fault it. A highly enjoyable stay with no quibbles.

The hotel was very easy to find but a bit far from the main city. However, we enjoyed every other aspect of our stay.
The underground parking facility was very convenient. The staff at the reception (Max) was very friendly, kind, and helpful. We liked our rooms and found the electronic control panels an exciting part of the room's experience.
The breakfast spread was lovely and we relished the different pastry varieties and the freshly squeezed orange juice.
The check-in and check-out procedures were also hassle-free and took no time at all.
Would surely recommend and visit again during my next trip to the city.

Awesome Hotel for very good price. It is well equipped.Rooms were clean and also spacious then hotels with higher price. Location is nice but bit outskirt.It has really good connectivity with public transport. Hotel bar is also good. Staff was really polite and helpful. Overall really nice and comfortable stay.

Fantastic Hotel, rooms very clean, parking is wide and very safe. A bit further away from the centre but only like a few stops away on the metro and the metro is a short distance walk from the hotel. Breakfast is very good too, a good variety.

Excellent hotel and great value. Near Overamstel Metro which is on the M51 route into the centre in a business district. High tech rooms with a system that controls all the lights, curtains and TV. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The beds were firm but great to sleep in. Has a nice bar and restaurant onsite which makes a delicious burger. Breakfast per morning is a little pricey so gave it a miss however there's also a self service shop at Reception for drinks and snacks. Would recommend.

All of the toilets are very clean with prepared necessities even though it was very crowded. The air circulation in one building is not very great. The food is okay. The location is close to the metro station (5 mins walk)
