Mercure Amsterdam City Hotel

The Hotel is very good located to start Amsterdam City trips.
Also the rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern.
The infrastructure is very new and good planned.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet serves everything you need and like to have - very good quality of food.
I can recommend this hotel for business and vacation planning.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The stay was wonderful, the location was great- just a short walk to the Metro, the room was beautiful and clean. Every staff member we interacted with was nothing but helpful. We would highly recommend this location for a visit to Amsterdam.

I arrived a little earlier before the time check-in but they were kind enough to give me my room. To my surprise I had decorations and nice cards for my birthday. A Nice privilege double with a great view, very kind and serviable staff. Breakfast was diverse and sumptuous, was there for three days and there was the availability of variety always. A few minutes walk from the metro station but once accustomed, it seems shorter but also very accessible by taxi or Uber. Very pleased with my overall stay. Thanks once again.

The family room was big and spacious. The breakfast was delicious with lots of different dishes to choose from. The hotel is located 800 m from the metro station from where you can go anywhere in the city. We had a wonderful time.

Located 5 minutes walk from Overamstel subway station hotel Mercure is in a somewhat industrial area of Amsterdam. One side of the building is facing the road and the green, the other - a building site by the canal. But no matter, the soundproofing is on point. We did not hear a thing. Lovely room, not very big but just enough space for two travellers. Comfy bed and pillows, lovely high thread bed linen. Big shower with large ceiling showerhead and an extra one on the wall. Hair dryer and an iron were included. Breakfast was very good for a continental! They offered fresh fruit and smoked salmon. Very good latte coffee. Fresh pastries.

A bit pricey but that's Amsterdam for you.

Overall very happy, will stay again if we get a chance.

Hotel is in a good location with easy access to amaterdam centraal station via the train station thats only 5 minute walk away. We had a minor issue with our TV and this was fixed almost immediately with great customer service. Easy and convenient baggage storage and water fountains in the reception were also nice too see. I would recommend to any visiting amsterdam to use this hotel

Me and my family stayed in a very clean and comfortable room for one night. The breakfast was excellent as well. A special mention goes to the hotel receptionist by the name of FERENC JANY. This very kind and welcoming receptionist went out of his way to call his superior, who was actually on his day off, to help us resolve an issue we encountered on our day of arrival. To him and the whole hotel staff, I would like to say a big thank you.

I visited Amsterdam for 10 days with my rowing team - we were there to race two weekends in a row on the Amstel River. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The Mercure is beautiful, clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming to all of us. Plus, the breakfast is AMAZING (rowers love to eat :) I hope to be back next year to race and will definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is modern, well equipped and great for business travellers. The staff was professional and efficient. I just wish that they labeled the food in their buffet properly as non-vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan because they gave me, a vegetarian, a dish with meat. I didn’t make a big fuss about it but really was not a good experience. There aren’t many options around as well as it is in a sort of desolate location and the nearest shop or public transport is a 10 minute walk. It may not be too bad on most days but remember that you have to do it with a luggage.

In terms of hotel/service extremelly good.
In terms of location is not close to centre town, but the public transportation works well in Amsterdam and you can use it... or still options like UBER is available.

Very good hotel with all the things u needed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms’ space is comparatively better than my other stays in other European countries. Just the location is far away from city and all attractions. But overall, I’m happy with my stay

Upon check in we were treated with the utmost courtesy and introduced to the hotel program which also included a room upgrade. We had stayed in 7 hotels on this trip (2 of them Mercure) and this was the absolute best. My wife had gotten a cold and the comfortable bed plus showers were a godsend to make her feel better. Thank you again to the clerk who took such great care of us .

Very quiet, nice people, and I had a perfect room for one person. I didn't use any services to clean the room for a week and I got along just fine. The only thing was that the hinges on my door were so loud (squeeky) that I was afraid to open the door for fear of waking up all the visitors on the floor I was on. I asked to have maintenance fix this, on multiple occasions, but it didn't happen. Otherwise the score would've been a TEN. Also, I think the hotel should consider allowing the bar to stay open until 1am on Friday and saturday nights. Thanks for the great stay!

Easily accessible from the airport, not far from city center, the terrace is a peaceful paradise away from the noise and the crowd. We'll be back for sure !

The staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment my partner and i arrived at the hotel. it was about a 10 minute walk from the metro stop, which we were aware of when booking. Upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by a lovely lady who tended to us very quickly. our room was nice and clean, the air conditioning and heating worked well, the shower was amazing, warm and powerful we had full use of the spa and gym. the bar and seating area was lovely and comfortable. a very enjoyable and pleasurable experience. would definitely stay here again.
