A beautiful canal house with a fascinating history. Visitors are welcomed so warmly by the guides and free coffee and biscuits are served in the kitchen.

Really interesting! This small museum was a private residence and people leaved there until recently. Then has been bought by a company that restored the house and transformed it into museum. Very kind staff that explains vividly details of the house, serves tea and coffe and let you dress the table of the kitchen as in the past. A very pleasant and interesting experience, I really recommend.

Great little museum run by the friendliest volunteers who have an obvious passion and love for this grand home.
A museum like no other where you can experience the house like an occupant. Really enjoyed sitting in the kitchen and enjoying a cup of tea and a biscuit (included in the ticket price). Gorgeous secluded garden aswell!

I really enjoyed visiting this house.
If you are aware or have any interest in the history and development of European culture you'll enjoy it and find it interesting I'm sure.
Specific to me as a woodworker I know but I learnt details of Mahogany importation and it's darker side which I hadn't been aware of.
But in general the whole experience is great. Really informative and easy to follow with an audio guide.
Beautiful place with a beautiful interior.
Absolutely well worth a visit.

Very friendly staff gave our daughter a fun exercise to do while walking through the house. Audio tour had lots of interesting information, and the house itself is very pretty and well worth a visit.

Amazing experience!! it was windy , gloomy and cold day. After I arrived, I have been suggested from the staff to go to the kitchen where I was served with coffee and a cookie. While I was enjoying and resting after long walk there was the staff member who told the story about the owner of the home to who the house belonged in 17th century. I felt so comfortable in there, it was hard to get up and continue the tour upstairs. I highly suggest you to come and take the tour. Such a positive energy - even is super old.

This his a hidden gem, the hospitality is great and the building is surprising. The rooms of this house are one by one stunning. Nice surprises hidden in the building. It has a lovely big garden (for Amsterdam standards). The association Hendrick de Keijzer did a great job to preserve this beautiful house along one of the most posh canal's of Amsterdam.

Beautiful house with a nice garden. I was waiting for my Museumkaart to arrive so I visited this house instead. Tickets are 5€ for people under 26. Well worth the price to pretend you are among the 17th century elite for an hour.

Amazing place! Still a hidden gem that not many tourists have found. Definitely the best of the canal house museums. And very friendly staff!

It was very nice to see inside one of these big houses on the canal. The gentlemen there were very kind. You can look in all the cupboards, garden, etc. The short audio tour was decent. Worth a few euros for a history lesson. We spent a bit more than 30 minutes there.
