As someone who enjoys visiting small museums, I was impressed by this one! So much thought and care was clearly put into the presentation of the material, information, and layout of the rooms. I'd researched the history of tulips in the Netherlands before coming on this trip, so a good portion of the information were things I already knew, but I nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed making my way through the displays and I did learn a few new things. The attached shop is also quite cute.

I bought these tulip bulbs last September from your shop, planted them in October and I’m so pleased with how they have bloomed. Wish I had bought more. However, I don’t have the packaging any longer and wanted to know the names of the tulips. Do I cut the stalks back once they have flowered?

A really cute museum, just around the corner from the Anne Frank house. The entry is €5 and you learn about how the tulip was bought to the Netherlands and why it is so popular nowadays.

Well presented independent little museum (and also just an exhibition of tulip-related stuff regarding Dutch history). All info in English. Typically, some steep steps inside, but a short and informative place to visit. First class gift shop!

What a delightful museum that provides the history of tulips with six different rooms and two videos explaining the process. There is a lot of great information shared with two unique interactive exhibits.

One can also explore the shop and purchase all sorts of tulip souvenirs

I loved this museum so much! It had a lot of colour, cute paintings and lots of pretty souvenirs (including many types of tulip bulbs). It was well organised and it had a decent amount of seating, and great information displays and interactive activities.

Adorable shop!! If we didn’t only bring carry-ons for our trip, I would have bought a couple of bulbs to plant at home. We didn’t have time for the museum but the shop was cute.

We decided to visit here as we had some free time. It was a lovely little museum and a bargain to visit - €6 for me and my 16 year old daughter. Good mix of photos, films and interactive displays. Took about 20-30 minutes for us to have a look round. There’s a flight of stairs to go down to the museum and come back up. Lovely gift shop attached as well

Love it. The entrance fee is 5 euro, but if you buy amsterdam travellor card, it will included in. It might take time around an hour to complete this museum.

A small museum that captures history of Tulips. 10-15 mins is enough to tour the entire museum. Their shop is very good and attracts a lot of people who come to pick Tulip bulbs and Tulip related souvenirs/gifts/products.
It's right by the canals. Visit the shop is well worth it, even if you ain't interested in the museum.

Small, very friendly museum. Just over the canal from the Ann Frank house. Hard to get your head round how highly prized Tulip bulbs were.

I am a person who loves museums, and this one was perfect for me. Before visiting, I had seen another tulip history exhibit that just scratched the surface of the story, and it had left me wanting more. Luckily I decided to visit this small museum which presents a big amount of information in a variety of ways in addition to wall text. It is better suited for adults than for young children.

Incidentally, it's a good gift shop, too. Thank you to the clerk who shared her knowledge of bulbs.

We happened to visit only the store but not the museum. It’s a bit pricey but the products have very unique designs. We bought few tulip bulbs and planted them in Jan. We could see the flowers in full bloom in May. The flowers are so beautiful and add a lot of beauty to our garden. Planning to buy more bulbs from here in the coming year.

You can also order the bulbs online!

Just say amazing that I can’t unable to express. It’s world largest tulip garden that open for public visit only one month between April to May each year.
