Ao Bar Amsterdam

I went there yesterday and I really enjoyed the staff’s friendly service! The coffee was good and I liked the vegan bananabread. I believe the blue atmosphere of the cafe just makes you calm and gives you a positive feeling:) I am looking forward to try other sweets next time!

I absolutely loved this coffee spot! The coffee was top-notch, and their almond croissant was a real treat. The atmosphere is super inviting, making it a great place to unwind. I can't wait to come back for more coffee and pastries. Highly recommended!

Fantastic cafe bar with some great food options as well as cafe and soft and alcoholic drinks, inspired by Japan.

A must is the kimchi toast as well as the pastries 🥐

Also lots of match options.

Omg the matcha latte is GREAT and the marble cake is also a must try. Not too sweet but defo tasty.
The staffs are so cute. They dont have wifi tho but i only stopped for a quick bite then go so that's fine

I wish they would sell their matcha mille crepe on weekdays as well, not just on weekends!

Finally got a chance to go to this coffee place and it is perfect. The staff is super sweet and constantly smiling (I could never). The coffee is delicious and I even got some tap water which I didn’t request so that was perfect 😇. I had a vegan peanut dark chocolate cookie (hope I said that right) and I need that recipe! So perfect. The oat cappuccino was also lovely. Will definitely come here again to read a book❤

Matcha mille crepe cake is such a delight!

Love this petite little cafe in the corner of the street! BLUE is the game at this place as well for the name AO 青, which is also my fav color =). Its located near Central Station Amsterdam and the "westerpark" and easy to take/go with the bus.

This cafe has delicious coffee and matcha latte, the pastries have japanese influence as for the matcha flavored cheesecakes or cookies. I also tasted their white sesame rasphberry cheesecake and it was delicious! Not too sweet and thats exactly what I like, Canelés are a must! They make it very well, with even caramelization on every part.

If its possible DO ORDER THE SANDWICHES!
You won't regret it as it tastes amazing <3

There is a Terrace outside with blue benches easy to take place with a group and with the sunny weather coming this summer it will be definitely crowded.

I really loved this cafe! It looks different than others with its bold blue interior and the outside tables are really nice to sit at. Great vibe!
I very much appreciate when cafes have coconut milk, as it is my favorite. Ao bar didn’t disappoint! I had matcha latte with coconut milk, one time hot and one time iced. They were both delicious! Coffee is nice too.

I don't drink coffee so I can't comment on that, but the iced matcha latte and lemon cake were great. I do think the pastries are on the pricey side.

When the weather is nice, you can enjoy uninterrupted sun for a few hours. The place is laptop-friendly and there were a few people working and studying when I was there.

Nice neighborhood cafe! We go there for either breakfast, brunch or light lunch. the kimchi cheese toasties and lemon cakes are delicious!
They have matcha latte (not everyone's favorite. but i enjoy it. it's usually not available in other cafes)

they used to have egg sando, pity they have discontinued it.. was so good!

The service is friendly!

☕ AO 青 Bar, Amsterdam 🎋

It is always nice to discover beautiful places a few steps away from home. The discovery of AO 青 was particularly pleasant.

On the Van Hallstraat in the center of a residential neighborhood, it is located the AO 青 bar, whose design and minimalism has a strong Japanese look and feel.
As a matter of fact, AO 青 in Japanese means "Color" and it is actually the blue color of the floor with the white of the walls, that give the bar a seraphic feeling.

The pictures on the wall and decorations also help even more to let the customer enter an almost mystical atmosphere.

The delicious coffee was roasted specifically for AO 青 by @monks_coffee_roasters.

Nice place to visit for coffee during the weekend just two blocks from Westerpark!

The very best koffie cake and lunch. The very best people work there. Its always a great pleasure to walk in and out with al the dillicious foods and drink but mostly The nice talk I always have with the owner and employees. If you don't pay them a visit you really missed out.

Brilliant coffee served in a bright and airy cafe in west. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Also bought a bag of coffee to take home - so so good! Makes my mornings blissful! Can't wait until 'rona is a thing of the past so I can enjoy sitting in the cafe.

I came in half empty, and left half full - such a lovely space, a delight to imbibe both a matcha & the kindness of the staff, not to mention the colours.
