Alex is a legend and always super friendly!
And he's also the best mechanic in Amsterdam.
Been there twice, first time with an electric bike, he fixed it in minutes while another store said they won't even attempt it.
Second time it was a chain on my single-speed, was back on the road in 30 mins or less with a completely new chain.
Damn, i sometimes even want something to happen to my bike just to visit him again :D

Man is an absolute legend. Got me a good quality and cheap second hand wheel for a vintage fixed gear, while no other shop in the area could help. Saved my day after I got my wheel stolen and when I was missing an axle nut he saved it once again. He’s got a lot of nice new and second hand parts for vintage and modern race bikes, seems like he knows what he’s doing really well. Thank you for the help!

Glad I walked past Alex's place as another bike shop wanted to charge me 50eu+ to replace/fix my bike chain (in a closed chain guard). Alex did it for a way more decent price and within 45 minutes I was on my way again. Super friendly as well!

Alex is honest which is not common among bikes shops. Prices are fair and he does a great job assembling and repairing your bike. Don’t go anywhere else. He is your guy. I bought 2 bikes from him and they are fantastic.

I started a vintage race bike project and had problems finding parts and putting it together. Then, I heard about the shop and handed it over. The finished bike is awesome and it works like a new one. The parts are just as I wanted it to turn out as well. I recommend this shop to anybody that needs they bike fixed or help with their project.

Great bicycle shop! Alex was really helpful in finding a new bike. We have now purchased one used and one new bike from here, omafiets and a cafe racer. They have a great selection of used bikes and the bikes come with kickstands and headlights unlike some other bike stores (that will not be named) that we visited. They also do repair..we have had a flat tire and a steering column replaced and ended up selling that bike (from another bike shop) and getting a new one from Alex. 5/5 do recommend if you are in the area. They also have locks and bells. Prices very reasonable.

Helped me out with re installing a 1960s broken pedal pin, that no one else could, nor wanted, to attempt to fix. And at a super reasonable price, dispite having worked on it for quite a while and trying everything until it worked. Recommend for sure.

Alex is an absolute star. He is sorted me out after a fall on my bike busted my gear shifting system. He also fixed poorly done repairs and gave me honest advice on what’s needed for my bike. He and his team did the repairs while I waited and I was out in an hour with a practically new bike. Thanks Alex!

Such nice guys - I was stuck outside in the rain with a chain issue and they helped me even though it was after their closing time. Will definitely be back if I have any future bike issues!

I'm grateful for this bike shop being in our neighborhood. He has a free air nozzle (so convenient) and open on Sundays.

I brought to Alex Bikes my road bike for some adjustments, 10 minutes before the store close. The guys welcomed me with big smiles, told me that everything is possible and after 10 minutes I left with a fixed bike and being very satisfied with their services.
Before that I visited 3 more bike stores that refused to help me.

Super friendly, fast, and thoughtful service. Helped me replace a stolen bike and got me set up with a new lock etc. in about half an hour.

Very friendly owner, great service and fast work! I needed a new front wheel, and i could already pick up my repaired bike within 2 hours. During that time i could also borrow a bike from his store for free, so great customer service!
