It was unexpected wonderful experience, place from outside looks very basic but foods were quite fresh and delicious. We ordered many things expect Langoustines we enjoy. Langoustines was hard to eat except that it was delicious too. Waiter and waitresses were quite nice. We got very wine match recommendation from the waiter.

Booked for the valentines day dinner. Had no idea what to expect but was totally blown away.

First course was oysters, I don't eat oysters but my wife loved them. Second course was Seacuteri (Cured Salmon Trout, Kingfish and Breem) with bread and 2 types of butter.

Main was a whole tarbot with side salad and potatoes. All of the food was absolutely amazing.

Dessert was great as well.

A big that you to the servers who were friendly and super attentive and a sold out evening.

Delicious seafood, the mussel and oyster are very fresh, I do recommend Irish oyster more than Dutch oyster though. The fish is nicely cooked, my kids also love the food.

Located conveniently in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam. We ordered Dutch oysters and the Gurnard. The Gurnard is a broth made with fish, shrimp stock and shrimps.

The oysters were fresh and medium sized. Very refreshing. The Gurnard’s extremely flavourful, rich and very hearty. In the cold weather, this really hit home especially when you have it with bread.

The staff was nice and made good recommendations for our meal. Definitely recommended!

What a pleasant surprise! We randomly found this restaurant as we looked for a fish meal. Thanks to the accessible prices we were able to try a variety of dishes, and they were all very delicious. If I had to tell which one was my favorite, it’d be very difficult for me to decide. Additionally, the staff was kind and welcoming, and made us feel home. It’s not easy to find a place where you can eat delicious fresh fish, pay a reasonable price, and be treated nicely - so mark this one!

Amazing food and great service. I personally do not like fish so I tried the roasted potatoes, a cauliflower dish (can’t remember the name) and the beetroot salad. My friends mentioned that the mussels were one of the best they ever tried, so definitely worth a try if you’re into seafood.

We absolutely adore this place! Living nearby, we've walked by countless times and finally booked a table last week. What a delightful experience it was!

The menu is excellent, boasting a variety of oysters, fantastic fish dishes, and a superb wine selection. The price-to-quality ratio is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

A standout feature is their house-made hot sauces that we couldn't get enough of. We wholeheartedly recommend this gem. A must-visit for any food enthusiast!

I had a great evening. Super friendly staff and delicious food. We ordered the fishcuterie and bread with dips and both were really good. I had white fish with mushrooms as a main and I loved it. The taste was refined and well balanced: earthy tones and a hint of anise. Perfectly autumnal :) We ordered salad and fries on the side and affogato and a chocolate mousse for dessert. I liked the cozy atmosphere in this restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great place to go for fish and seafood! The place is very cosy and the dishes are very tasty. We also tried a few cocktails, and I can recommend them as well.
Tip: If you are getting fish and chips, go for the mushy peas as well, they are amazing!

Pleasantly suprised! Had the fish and chips, as well as the bread and seaweed butter. Honestly some of the best tartare sauce I've ever had for the fish and chips, and also some of the best flavored butter I've ever had. The butter didn't just have flavoring as an afterthought (like many places that charge you extra for some bread) but had a complex and well balanced flavor. Fish was crispy but not oily, and moist on the inside, and a good sized serving too! French fries were excellent, crispy outside, with a fluffy inside... In general delicious food, the service was quick and attentive, even though there were only two waitresses for the whole restaurant, they did a good job! Definitely coming back to try more of their seafood!

What a flawless experience! The staff was amazing, super friendly at all times. The food was one of a kind. Hadn't had such great Fish n Chips in years! My husband and I shared our first oysters here and are now both a fan. Definitely recommend the oysters leche de tigre! Gin & Tonic with Basil and red pepper, perfect! As was the Dutch Pale Ale. Thanks for a great evening!

A great place for seafood, and our favorite meal on our recent trip to Amsterdam. I got the fish of the day, sea bream; the crispy skin was delicious and the asparagus and potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. A friend got fish soup, which was gorgeous, and another friend got fish and chips.

Definitely try the bread & butter starter!

Also very well-priced! Our three entrees, three sides/starters, and drinks totalled just over E100.

This is a good find for me. While the menu is small, the food was excellent. The seating was a little odd but comfortable.

Absolutely loved my visit to Good Companion! The fish and chips are the best in Amsterdam, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The cozy atmosphere just brings it all together for a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful neighbourhood restaurant . One of the nicest fish dishes I’ve eaten in a long time and we have super fish restaurants in Ireland so this was up there with some of the best.
