Lovely cafe with nice view, can work with laptop during weekdays on designated tables. There only few tables that are allowed to open a laptop. I also noticed that they have hairdresser service at the corner of the cafe.

We had breakfast twice at the café. You get fresh stuff there: the juices were freshed and made to order. The pastries were still in the oven when we got there on the second day. The cinnamon huns were delicious and so was the banana bread. Great coffee too and very friendly staff. I wish I lived in Amsterdam so I could go there more often.

Super cozy atmosphere with great coffee and fantastic eats. Everything is baked in house and they have vegan options as well. The view over the water is incredible and the music is always spot on. It's a great place to remote work or catch up with friends.

Tasty coffee and very interesting place. You can enjoy your coffee with a perfect latte art having a view over the river.
Also, you can get a haircut with a view here, which makes this place quite authentic!

Barmhartig has to be one of the coziest places I have been to in the Netherlands !

Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, the cinnamon bun was amazing. I spent the day sitting at the window, working on my laptop and sipping capuchinos.

If you need a good place to read a book, or work this is a place for you. Chill atmosphere, and enough plugs for laptops. Their banana bread is also great, and there are some other vegan/vegeteren options on the menu.

I don’t understand why people say it’s difficult to find. At the bottom of the staircase you can already feel the scent of fresh pastries pulling you up there. Hard to resist.

One of the best flat whites in Amsterdam. Easily the best coffee on the east side of the city. It's in a convenient location with lots of shopping nearby. Climb to the top of the yellow stairs for a relaxed, unassuming room with a beautiful view of the water.

The coffeeshop had great coffee with a great view and friendly service. Prices aren't bad either. Highly recommended if in the area.

Great atmosphere with the best mellow beats and soulful tunes 🎶, we're talking about epic vibes here guys! To top this up, super cozy space and sunny (Dutch weather permits) views over the water and Java eiland 🌊. Last but not least, you know it's all about the people - amazing staff to cater your daily caffeine, carbs and banter needs 🦸🤹🏻‍♂. Oh! Did I mention? Really nice cafe looking over the water. The food selection is limited but they do a good toasted sandwich. Coffee is good, service is good and they seem ok with people working on their laptop there.

Lovely place with really good coffee and amazing view. That’s a pity that during corona time we couldn’t enjoy the atmosphere inside:( will definitely come back!!!

Best coffee in town hands down! Come here for a beautiful view on the water and boats while enjoying an amazing sandwich or just have some cake and a chai tea. One of my favorite cafe‘s in Amsterdam!

Best coffee I’ve had in Amsterdam. I asked for oat milk , don’t think it was oatly but it still tasted fantastic. Most balanced coffee I’ve had . The cappuccino was super creamy and velvety. The cortado was stronger (naturally) and amazing . Plus, prices are very reasonable .
