Hotel Jakarta

Such a pleasure to spend Christmas here. Far enough outside all the hubbub of central Amsterdam, but close enough for an enjoyable walk to the central canals. The decor of the hotel is up there with the best we have experienced. Spa/sauna area and river views are peaceful. Breakfast buffet choice was excellent and really good quality, supplemented by the smell of all the freshly baked croissants and pastries. Panoramic views from the roof bar are the cherry on top. Would definitely return, and recommend.

Went together with my girlfriend to Hotel Jakarta and we had a wonderful experience. The moment we arrived friendly staff assisted us and informed us about some features they offer which was very useful.

Upon arriving in our room we were greeted by a large space with a beautiful bathroom, big bed, beautiful view + a lovely message towards us from the Jakarta Staff Team.

Short summary about the food; Definitely recommend and it’s a nice experience. Both dinner and breakfast had a nice variety and nice seating too.

The spa was also cute, the swimming pool was relaxing and had some nice touches to enhance the experience

Overal Hotel Jakarta is highly recommend if you want to chill for some time while having a good time. Multiple days would be highly advised

We spent a week in Amsterdam with my wife. We were amazed by the location of the hotel, its architecture and the friendliness of the staff. It has clean, comfortable rooms and a very sufficient breakfast. It was above our expectations for a 4-star hotel. The only drawback is that the area around the hotel gets a little too windy. Since we went in February, we were exposed to a bit of wind until we got to the tram from the hotel, but the beauty of the hotel and the warmth of the staff are enough to warm you up. If we go to Amsterdam again, we have no reason not to stay at Hotel Jakarta. We thank all the staff very much.

Best value for money hotel. It is located a little bit out of the city centre, but with good public transport connections.

Staff is always very kind and friendly. Rooms are clean, nice and big enough. Hotel is modern with nice architecture.

They have nice breakfast with variety of food. Also for lunch and dinner there is great choice of seafood, sushi, etc.

Hotel has nice places for meetings which is located in more quiet area.

I’m staying in this hotel for couple of months in a rows and I can highly recommend.

I can't praise Hotel Jakarta enough. The staff are amazing. So many hotels are impersonal but WestCord have a great service culture, with Hotel Jakarta their best Hotel. The staff remember guest preferences and go out of their way to treat you like an individual and a valued guest.

From the moment you step in and experience the welcoming front desk staff to the wonderful cafe, you'll feel noticed and appreciate all the little gestures from staff.

The Hotel itself is a beautiful oasis of peace and calm. To sit in the plants with coffee is a really special experience. They've also got lovely little seating areas in each floor so you can have a quiet water boat watching session.

Public transport links are good with the bus stop just outside and the tram a 5 minute walk. Both get you back to Centraal Station in around 5 minutes or its about a 35-minute walk.

The rooms are lovely and clean with great views of the water and passing boats. It really feels like a sanctuary.

The whole hotel feels very clean and well cared for. It's also really safe. They have experienced staff available 24:7 and the rooms are all accessed from a central area so you don't have lots of corridors to go round and round. The whole place feels so peaceful and safe. No noisy party people - the rooms have good soundproofing so you don't get disturbed by neighbours.

Whether you are a business traveller who wants safety and good sleep, or leisure travellers looking for a really special experience away from the busy streets, you'll never regret staying at Hotel Jakarta.

Well lets begin this review by sending a huge shout out to Esther, she was the main employee we had contact with at the front desk!!! Thank you for not only being so nice, but full of knowledge and great recommendations. Furthermore, you are an absolute great point of contact for the hotel, setting the tone for a fabulous vacation my partner and I had. We ended up in one of the suites, and it was absolutely lovely. We ordered room service, and the food was quite tasty and so fresh. The bar on the 8th floor, Malabar, great drinks and tasty portions of food. Thank you again to housekeepers who always left our room amazingly refreshed, to maintenance people who came to fix our curtains!! A huge should out to the whole team and thank you guys again, looking forward to one day going again!

My sister, cousin and I recently stayed four nights at Hotel Jakarta on a once- in-a-lifetime visit to Amsterdam and other sites in the Netherlands. The accommodations at the Jakarta were great – comfortable rooms, wonderful food, and excellent staff members who were helpful, efficient, and friendly.
Lonneke Zuijderwijk was cordial and especially attentive to us in several ways. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone we know and would give it an excellent rating.

I didn't stay in the hotel itself but used the bakery in it. The hotels interior design is great with regards to its size. There is a small jungle in the middle, which is a delight to enjoy a cup of something

We had a wonderful stay here...we were welcomed during check-in with a glass of prosecco, the rooms are beautiful, so is the architecture of the hotel with all the green and warm wood, the staff does everything to make you feel welcome and gives great recommendations, and the breakfast is amazing! It also just takes a few minutes to get to the centre...We will definitely be coming back when in Amsterdam!

The best hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms were luxurious with stunning views over the water! Breakfast had a good variety and the pool was excellent too. Would definitely stay here again, great value.

We loved our stay at Hotel Jakarta. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. My wife had a scary accident while riding one of the hotel’s bikes. The staff helped retrieve the bike, wrote a warm note, and offered a big chocolate bar. On another occasion, they reopened the (excellent) Bakery Westers which is inside the hotel, as we wanted to buy some cakes after hours. One of the staff members offered to lend me his charging cable, so I could charge my rental car on their (many) EV charging stations. Great examples of going ‘above & beyond’, in small but thoughtful ways. Will definitely stay at Hotel Jakarta again!

Quiet, great views, perfect location. We opted for the included breakfast and it was very good with plenty to choose from. Room was very quiet and clean and the aesthetic is so relaxing. Loved it!

One of the most beautiful hotel I had spend my vacation the best customer service, hospitality, and welcoming check in.
I definitely will come back again to spend my next Amsterdam vacation in this amazing hotel.

The only little tiny comment is that the breakfast need to have more options reflect the hotel standers and high expectation.

Great hotel, great location. Very modern hotel. Rooms small but pretty. The rooms have all the amenities, including bathrobes and slippers you could keep.The hotel has a restaurant but also a separate cafe that provides small snacks and drinks at a cost. The best surprise was the included deluxe buffet breakfast. I have never seen so many healthy but also unhealthy options. My favourite was the coffee machine with all the specialty coffees both in decaf and regular. I could get a delicious medium size latte in about 10 seconds! Access to the downtown core where all the action is was only a short walk across the bridge which is right outside the hotel and the tram line stop was right at the end of the bridge and was a very short ride to Central Station where all the action starts.Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice stay at the Jakarta. We arrived 3hrs earlier that checkout time and as they had the room ready we were able to go there, which is really appreciated.
All the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has a really good selection and the coffee and bakery is very cozy. We didn’t eat diner or lunch at the restaurant but so recommend you to check out the bar at the top of the hotel.
It’s not a centric hotel but if you are in Amsterdam for a long stay or working close to the central station then it’s perfect as there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel and it’s a quick trip.
The wellness area is very convenient, there’s a small gym, a pool and a sauna. You can also book a massage (can’t comment on this as I didn’t get one but would have loved to, next time!)

We arrived mid morning and was able to go to our room straight away. The room was great, well equipped and clean. The interior of the hotel is modern and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely. Unfortunately we did not get to sample the included breakfast due to an early check out but we were given a very generous breakfast box. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
