Xiang Yue Chinese Restaurant (湘约中国菜馆)

Found this gem in Gelugor area. Always crave for Hunan cuisine and this one is definately great. We ordered the crab, some vegetables and chicken. They are all really good. Will definately come back.

Overall it’s a positive experience, enjoyed the dishes we ordered and it came in big portions. A big plus that they are not oily and overwhelming in flavours, just right I would say!

Craving for authentic northern chinese cuisine and found this ! Super like the crab salted egg yolk glass noodle and chilli oil fish … very flavourful and the fish was perfect combo of spice ..

Normally while I love to eat chili oil fish.. the sauce/gravy is always a tad too oily to consume but we finish this one completely ! The sauce is drinkable

Price is on the steeper side compared to others but definitely worth the quality. Will be back

Dined here when I was holidaying at Penang...recommended food...loved the dishes I ordered...and the place is perfect for big gathering...

New restaurant with nice interior. Great variety of northern chinese food. Many different flavours with lots of nice spices. Try the la zhi ji!

Consider a bit pricy around this area.
The food is delicious.
Set lunch is affordable, it comes with rice, main dish, two sides and a soup.
Air con and non aircon areas are available.
Parking is a bit limited during lunch and dinner hour.

You can find a variety of Hunan and Sichuan dishes here. The restaurant is still on soft launch phase and the menu is not complete yet.

You can still find sharing dishes or individual dish like beef and fish noodles here.

The place is clean and looks beautiful with indoor and outdoor seatings.

Plenty of car park right infront of the shop.

Highly recommend this place if you’re into Chinese cuisine.

Food is ok and meeting expectation, and the ambience is good. The waitress attitude will need improvement, the lady like rushing customer for order and impatience. This is my second visit and quite unhappy with the service; my first visit experience was good, heard the same experience from a friend who visited this restaurant earlier on the service feedback and now I understand why. Smile and be more welcoming la.

Food is just ok. More to pricey side. Service need to be improved as well. Our empty plates were kept by a waitress without getting our permission, while we were still having our food.

吃了很多次，发现了很多问题
1.一直是在室内吃的，但是为什么室内会有苍蝇，告诉一个年龄较大的服务员后，也只是用手一挥，让苍蝇继续在室内飞
2.点过一盘卤猪耳朵，很多片猪耳朵上有毛，食材处理不干净
3.品控不稳定。人多的时候，菜会出现盐没有炒均匀的情况，并且等待上菜时间可能会超过半个小时
4.人多的时候服务会下降，我请服务员倒一杯白水给我，我告诉了两个女服务员，前后间隔十分钟，一直到我吃完饭，水都没有给我
5.价格偏贵（对于学生来说），如果有钱当我没说
